Hi gunjan I live in Bangalore and was born and brought up in Chennai...each and every thing which u said abt South India is absolutely correct...v still follow the same rituals as u said in this video
One more thing I would like to add. It was present in the videos and pictures you shared but not explained.
Serving and eating on banana leaf or patravali. Both leaves are used as plates, packaging material and also as wraps while cook. It give a good flavor to the food and helps with digestion. Eco friendly as well. These practices subsided for a while but now they are being brought back after knowing their importance.
One more is, we grind our masala fresh from scratch everyday for every curry❤❤
Rarely we use powders like sambar powder, rasam powders etc
I love this video not just because you praised our South, but your articulation.👍, yet you missed one major good habit of Tamilians & Kannadigas. Mostly we are all early risers and do Puja in the morning even before Work Outs. This has a major health benefit.
South is rising economically compared to the North despite the tilt of thr political government to the majoritarian North. Educationally too South is ahead. Many northerners, both educated and illiterate come to the South for their livelihood. It's the general custom to praise the master. This is the basis of the video. Just like the South, North also has many pluses and minuses. Nobody need to be too proud to be a South/North Indian.
I happen to be from Kerala.
'Pazhaya soru" is one of our traditional Tamil health food. Add water to the cooked rice in the night, and eat next day morning when fully fermented. It is cooling to the body and rich in amino acids and vitamins.........

Kerala, the epitome of Indian ayurvedic practises, food habits now run behind Arabic shawarma and Alfam chicken. I don't want our habits to die off. One such habit is drinking ayurvedic hot water everywhere even in homes and restaurants.

Hello Gunjan mam. I'm from Andhrapradesh, I'm huge fan of you'rs.
You are inspiring me to take better care of myself. Thank you for sharing all your videos mam... 🤍😇
Thank you so much and as a South Indian it's exactly true
We from telangana make poridges(ambali) with micro grains like millets etc. We prepare in a earthern pot which is fermented over nyt. In summer it is a must as it cools body. Mainly farmers take it compulsarily. This is an ancestral recipe.
From Hyderabad 🤍
Same in Karnataka too! We call it ambali here, mainly done with Rāgi.
We from Andhra called it Ragi Java
In telangana we use sesame oil, ground nut oil. Eating on leaves like banana and more we use visatarakulu to eat. Chaddi annam , fermented in curd over nyt.
In Kerala most of the food items we eat are locally available products like ham , fish , tapioca, banana, coconut, jackfruit and etc . Also Ayurveda is the mainstream medicine over here , we also have a month in our malayalam calander called as 'Karkidagam ' during this month we eat only ayurvedic food . But we don't sit on floor while eating, we sit on floor only during some ceremonies...
Along with point 6, you should also add Siddha medicinal practices,, that was developed by yogis from southern most part of India, could mainly be found in TN and parts of Kerala
Iam from kerala. We follow all things regularly 😊
I am from Odisha - we still have food with our hands, though my dad loved using spoon as a fauji. We still prefer having -ghar ka khana. Ghee is used, though less.
Things are changing in rest of India too... No disparity... Lets grow together 🙏🇮🇳... வாழ்க தமிழ் வாழ்க பாரதம் 💪🇮🇳 ... 70 years of Congress rule has ruined North and North East 😭... North East has great potential in Sports... I am not South Indian... Am an Indian from South 🇮🇳

Apart from that pazhadu Or pazhasadam is eaten in summer in South where leftover rice is soaked in water overnight and nextday we have it with buttermilk and pickles . Apart from cooling the body, it is rich of vitamin and probiotic for the gut... We feel the body and stomach cool as we drink this

3. we will cultivate local fruits and vegetables and will eat it regularly.
4. You can see ayurvedha doctor, ayurvedha clinc and ayurvedha medicine shops in every nook and corner of kerala
5. We follow our temple culture according to vedas and tantra. Regular visits in temple and daily prayers at home are part of kerala people's life style.
6.we maintain our culture, tradition and culture through onam, vishu and other religious ceremonies.most of our temples have stricts dress codes and spiritual disciplines.

Hi Gunjan, I was really happy to hear correct pronunciation from you like KARNATAKA instead of Karnatak and KERALA instead of Keral where my other fellow states brothers and sisters fail to speak and i am really glad that you recognised such habits from South people and took an effort to make a video on it. Being a south Indian i would also like to add that people in south are very humble and no showoff (remembered one of the saying, empty vessels make more noise,) people live a very low key life and contented even he is a millionaire.. JAI HIND

We even change our menu according to the season's like during winter we prepare Currys using garlic and pepper corn mostly and in summer it's curd based and to finish off the meal skimmed milk 🥛 is a must.
The practice of being grateful for the food before we have them is our family tradition and our speciality
Interesting analysis. I am a telugu myself brown in north of India and hence can vouch for these practices that you mention here which have been heckled at are indeed very health inducing.
