      We are all uniquely made and listen to it. Eat plant, canivore, keto or fruitraian. We eat healthy so that we can have a quality life so that we can be a blessing to one another. I know of people who are still living as above categories for 30, 40 years. Avoiding junk etc etc. All man made is the problem. Once your rid of all and give your body a chance, feed it all single ingredient based it will mend it self. God bless ❤😊

    by far the hardest part of fasting is the boredom. If you've never done a multiday fast, you have no idea the enormous amount of your daily time is spent thinking about, preparing, or eating food. Depending on your lifestyle, it can be really hard to fill all that extra free time. If you want a fast to be easy, start it when you are very busy

    I've learned vegetables and fruit have been modified from wild to be edible by making them sweeter and naturally contain chemicals to protect themselves from predators, like us. Grains, seeds, nuts, rice, legumes naturally contain phytic acid which block absorption of nutrients. Soaking at least overnight or fermenting removes it. I have joint pain and digestive issues when I eat any of these, and cravings. My food eats my vegetation.

    • @TheRoadtoHealth
      @TheRoadtoHealth  Рік тому +27

      I have definitely heard about soaking nuts and pressure cooking vegetables to make them edible. My concern is that we think we can undo what nature has done. The correct order of operations is the herbivore eats veg and then the carnivore eats the herbivore. Humans digestive tract is actually more carnivore in nature than herbivore. Something to note. Thanks for the opportunity to share that thought.

      Well said, my friend! I am just realizing that store-bought fruits and vegetables are not as beneficial as they used to be, for many of the reasons that you noted. Unless we eat organic foods we are poisoning the flora in our gut that naturally are there to help us maintain optimum health. We all must take control of our diets and learn as much as we can about the foods we eat regularly. Perhaps, we may then cure ourselves without the aid of damaging pharmaceuticals and the doctors who profit from prescribing them.

    I actually haven’t consumed fruit in years now as a strict carnivore of 5+ years. I still get the sweet tasting flavour of apples from a shot of apple cider vinegar in my 2.2litre bottle of water👌🏻
    We also know that the vitamin C in fruit competes with glucose for uptake by the body since our vitamin C receptors mistake glucose for vitamin C. So you’re only getting half of the vitamin C present in fruits, and then the dietary sugar is causing more inflammation and oxidation within the body, more reactive oxygen species, which requires more vitamin C needed for it’s antioxidant properties, and so on-so essentially using fruit as a vitamin C source is counterproductive.
    The less glucose we have in our diet the less vitamin C we require in our diet.
    But yeah, great video!🤙🏻

      21st century fruit is nowhere near the same as real fruit. Waaaay more fructose has been bred into the modern hybrids. For no other reason than to develop addiction in the user.
      HBA1C does not register circulating fructose in the blood.
      The body does not recognize the differences between glucose, fructose, lactose, or any other sugar that can be metabolized.
      People run around saying dietary cholesterol is the boogie man but it is actually dietary sugar of any kind.
      Dietary sugar of any kind is last resort emergency use only until you can obtain real food which is meat.
      Do what you want and believe what conforms to your world view.
      Don't believe anything I wrote here but look it up for yourself. Embrace the truth or continue lieing to yourself.

    • @montycora
      @montycora Рік тому +4

      @@Cake1848 - yes, she is right about that, all carbohydrates are converted to glucose. The only difference is that fructose needs to be metabolized by the liver first before that happens. Keto is doable long term, in fact I think I should, and it is sustainable, and you CAN eat fruit on keto. There are a lot of fruits that are ok on keto, but she is demonizing those as well. keto can be incredibly nutritious if done right by a dietician for you. My fruit consumption is limited to only local in-season strawberries, and occasionally local in-season blueberries. The early crop is available in Victoria from June to early July, and the late crop from August to mid-September. Over that period (June-Sept), we will probably buy half a dozen small baskets. A serving for me is 6 medium strawberries, or 15 blueberries (~1/4 cup), which we have with some whipping cream. The small basket will give us 3 servings each (over 3 days), then we won't have any for a couple of weeks.

    The phrase "eat an apple on going to bed and you'll keep the doctor from earning his bread." was first seen in an 1866 publication from Wales. Of course in those days you went to bed at sundown and rose at sun up , then performed some type of manual labor all day. So people probably weren't suffering from sleep deprivation, and the apples weren't GMO to be the size of your head in the 1800's. The more familiar phrase "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." was coined in 1913. It's hard to dispel something that we have simply parroted for over a hundred years. I view fruit as a once in a while treat. Not a health food.

    Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. I am carnivore 100% and have had amazing benefits from doing it. Yes sugar in any form is poison, even when we eat low glycemic index foods, that still converts to glucose in the digestive tract, it just takes a little longer. Best just to stay away from carbs altogether as they are contraindicated in the human diet.

    Another mistake I was making on the keto diet was eating a whole thing of an avocado when really you're supposed to eat half because a full one has between 11 to 17 G of carbs even though it has fats and doesn't have sugar like the rest of the food in ridiculous amounts! I am also working on learning how to drink my coffee without any sugar or even monk fruit sweetners or stevia!

I’m so confused at all the conflicting information we are constantly getting. I’m going to eat everything and just practice more discipline. Once he regurgitated that the FDA said about vitamins and minerals I clicked off. When we do a juice fast, we lose weight because we are not eating processed food and because we lower the amount of energy we consume. The problem is that most people do not know that their liver is being overworked during that fast. I would not trade weight loss for damaging my liver. This is important to look into. Dr Maggs gives us the information about what the FDA reports because it shows that fruit is not necessary to eat. This information is accurate. What is most important for me is that you can get all the vitamins and minerals you need from meat, the first item listed. I hope this clarifies and helps you make good decision about your health.

    I started to rebel against the 'you have to eat fruit to be healthy' thing about a year ago. Not only would i spend a large amount on fruits that i couldnt eat once home(cantaloupe , honeydew, watermelon would rarely be ripened as should be and would taste horrible- money down the drain). I get vitamin C and fiber other ways. Sugar is sugar...why get so much sugar from a piece of fruit? I understand that melons have anti-cancer properties BUT i get my anti-cancer 'stuff' from other foods and supplements. Thank you for this vid. Society really tries to get people to feel bad if they arent 'smart enough' to eat fruits.

Plenty of people heal on fruit.thats fact. I think pesticides and environmental toxins are cauaing the problem damaging metabolic system. @@TheRoadtoHealthWill agree with most of your point especially about fructose etc. I think you are very wrong in general. You can't use yourself as template for all. Thats a very destructive approach. One size doesn't fit all. This approach works perfect for YOU but I am sure this won't work for all. You mentioned about nature, and how scientists manipulate food to become sweeter which is true. But pure blooded raw non GMO fruits from nature were meant to eat, yes by humans especially humans born and bread in these regions that these foods are indigenous to. I am happy you finally find your balance but I think its very ignorant to box all human beings in one box. That is wrong. Bless

    Difficult to find low fructose fruits. Even harder to find fruits that are both low in fructose and low in histamines. The only one I can find is apricots. If you are histamine intolerant - it gets very complicated. Thanks for opening my eyes to the fructose issue beyond high fructose corn syrup in sodas. Real eye opener!!!
