Cracking review buddy and very thorough, your pump seems to be one of the easiest ones I’ve seen to use. I’ve been using pcp’s for about 10 years now and the pumps I had and a man with spinal problems I would be blowing like a steam train and walking bent over for the rest of the day! I now use divers bottles now so much easier for me. But the package you have there and for the price will certainly solve your rat problem.
thank you mate , about the pump.. thirty pumps and the tank is full , i try to use my arms and not put too much back into it . its not easy but i treat it as a little workout. cheers pete
Check that the barrel assembly is secure, in the wooden stock. Hold the end of the stock in one hand, and the end of the air cylinder in the other, and try to move them. Mine was loose (the screws were bottoming out), when I bought it, so I put a washer under each of the two (5mm diameter) screws, that hold the stock to the barrel assembly. I don't know if they were missed at the factory, or they aren't meant to be fitted, but adding the washers made the assembly secure, and improved accuracy no end.
Man you can’t beat that gun for what it is . I think it shoots good for what your doing with it . I just can’t help to think what it would be like with a good scope and some jsb or h&n pellets, but all said and done it’s fine just like it is , and you did a great job reviewing it well done sir gave you a sub well done can’t wait to see what you do next with it be safe
Yours seem-really low as well then, not just mine the leaver should be facing forward for full powe,so I read somewhere,hw100k now so not that bothered, wot a rifle🥰but spoke to John knibbs and he reckons power is fine and they rarely are halve powered, need chrono
When pumping air into the gun, keep the rifle as far above the floor as the hose (proper name whip) will allow, and insert the filling probe so it's underneath the gun. This will help to keep moisture from getting into the air cylinder.
All pcp airguns have a sweet spot on the air and it isn't at its maximum. I've got 2 Air arms .22 filled to 200bar but their sweet spot is at 150bar. Great review enjoy pcp you won't go back to springers
most pellet manufacturers offer variety packs so you can find the pellet that shoots best out of your gun, with a little trial and error i'm sure you will find that pellet that you can hit the same hole. it looks to me that your gun wants to shoot strait, you just need the right projectile.
What a great review, what sort of weight pellet were you putting through it? It look very accurate whatever you were using. I’ve been looking at all sort of guns, I’m off to Pellpax tomorrow, so you would recommend this would you.
its been a great little gun and good introduction into the world of pcp rifles, i use diablo field pellets 1.037 gms and have no problems with flyers. Yes i would recommend this gun , hope this helps cheers mate
Hello Pete. Ive never seen that model or make until your kind review. As you'll know, you can't please everyone these days. Four hundred pounds is a fair wedge to many people these days, everyday prices constantly increasing. However, there's alot of kit there. Your sight, pump, pellets etc. For someone with a rat problem, with no interest in air rifles, it looks excellent. I think though, the price will be parallel to how it age's and performs over time. There's alot of truth in, you get what you pay for. I think that's why Air Arms etc, for example are more expensive. Great respect to this manufacturer though. They've produced, thanks to your revue, what looks a very good PCP, for a great price and lots of kit. These are my polite thoughts Pete and it would be great to know your opinion. Respect brother. Many thanks, Ian.
Hello mate , after nearly 3 weeks i have managed to shoot 12 rats , the gun is performing very well, only recharged it yesterday first time since making the vid, its an excellent little gun and ideal for my problem, guns are getting in short supply . prices will go up unfortunately so I think it was a really good package for the money , i must admit i dont like to kill the rats, but they are too numerous and i have to deal with that. I do have 6 live traps so i do catch and release if i can. The gun is very lightweight and i,m impressed with it so far :) thanks for your comment .pete
@@pete3204 You must be M A D, to "release" them after (finally) catching them. If you really do that (which I hope you don't) then you haven't the faintest idea what rats are and how severely they threaten the ecosystem (not only human society)...
For my sins I run activities including air rifle shooting and I use these rifles. After nearly 3 years and tens of thousands of pellets through them my rifles still perform very well. In that time I’ve had just one O ring fail and cause an air leak. They are still capable of shooting 2p size groups or smaller at 20m. For the money it’s a superb rifle.
Aren't the pellets a danger to the birds? I'm thinking of how swans and ducks can end up with lead poisoning when they swallow fishing weights into their crops. Do your birds have crop sacks for grinding their food?
I had one of these fantastic but it has a flaw the barrel tends to flex and I cured it by fitting a crossman barrel fitment to it a little bit of application is needed but the barrel is then fixed to the air tank as on the crossman fantastic product
Hi. I have the same rifle but in 1.77, I've had it for a few years now and have only done targets , until today , I took out my first too rats, for the first time.today . It did the trick. Clean shot.to the head on both rats. Have fun with yours
I think you'll benefit from better pellets mate. Like all guns it'll probably improve in time but better pellets will help. Air Arms Diablo Field seem to do well in a wide range of rifles so maybe worth a try. ATB MMMD
totally agree mate, i have been using some silhouette diabolo, a german pellet extra heavy, getting good results , i,m very close range though, thanks for your advice !
Yes, I own 4 pcps (admittedly higher priced ones) and I find that Air Arms Field Diabolos are excellent and are equally effective in my CO2 guns. Obviously some guns prefer something heavier/lighter but these are a good starter point.
hello mate , i have had no pellets stuck in the mag and i have used several different types of pellets, but no problem with mag, maybe you have a faulty mag.
Although this is not a live ammo rifle. ( not that makes any differance to my suggestions ). I would highly suggest in controlling your breathing when your about to fire. & when you do hold your breath a few seconds ( between 3 & 5 seconds is ideal) just before you do fire. It could really help in your target scoring aswell. Another is to fire two shot off first then adjust the scope then fire another two & keep doing that until your happy or very contented with it. But, also your trying to eliminate rats & any other vermin which are constantly on the move ( moving targets) So, scopes are not always ideal. But, maybe try locking down the rifle on some means of small tripod or even a very firm cushion ( the firmer the better ) to help in steadying your shots. My suggestions are only as friendly tips for you Pete & any others that have issues with pests & rifles & their scope agjusting. I do hope i have helped you & others with this issue. 🤔👍😉 & another suggestion is rather than use that pump (if you find it too either awkward or stressful to use ) to pressurise your rifle MAYBE!!! a air compressor might be far easier to use. As long as you keep a eye on the amount of pressure required & the fittings ( adaptors ) can be fixed to it ) most can but, do double check before getting a air compressor ( electrical one i personally recommend. ( not the 12v car adaptor type) & some do have a cut off point you can set it to shut off 👍😉) But, that is upto to yourself Pete on that. I do hope you get rid of those pests PITY!!! you can't ( not allowed by law unfortunatly to get rid of other vermin BLOODY!!! sea gulls & Filthy pidgeons 👎👎👎👎😠😡😠😡 ( please excuse my profanities) Good luck with it anyway.😉👍
O rings don't last forever, it's better that the manufacturer includes them so you have them already and don't have to guess their sizes. At some point it's going to need stripping, cleaning and lubricating to keep it operating at it's best. You going to put old rings back in?

The one used as a guide not meant to be tight. 3.Allen pin in bolt (the allen pin that cocks the Gun)near enough out(no locktight)This is what the problem was causing the bolt to jam up as it was getting caught up on the 90degree part of the bolt lock. 4.Allen pin on end cap that holds the bolt housing loose. 5.bolt itself scored as the grub screw has been wandering in and out.... All in all these rifles are dangerous especially the air guage being as loose as it was.... Its great being an Engineer....Can you do me a favour and educate Smk on the use of loctite lol....

PRETTY MUCH a modern - but less deadly - version of the pump-pressure Girardoni air rifle.
Check that the barrel assembly is secure, in the wooden stock.
Hold the end of the stock in one hand, and the end of the air cylinder in the other, and try to move them.

What brand is the pump
its called an FX stirrup pump, there are a few different ones.
It looks like a copy of a of my Wembley spectre, made by fx I believe??
So the bag, pump and sight cost £200 that's if the gun cost less than £200 as advertised all over UA-cam.
