Chris, I know you don't replay (at least not here) but just know, people follow your channel because of you and not just because of the travel, I have enjoyed watching your adventures for the last four or five years, yes things have evolved, but that is to be expected. Just continue being the somewhat likable, nerdy guy that loves adventure and people will continue to follow along. Best of luck with the house and Shannon...enjoy the evolution and new life that you have, and please continue to bring us along for the journey.
Just finished watching last weeks video. My wife and I never miss an episode. I haven’t watched this one yet, but I wanted to say that we look forward to your new adventures as a homeowner. Overlanding and nomad life is great, but there’s nothing like putting down roots somewhere too.
Good video, you incorporated the house, bike event and your time on the trail. I’m not a huge fan of heat, but there’s no denying the beauty of the dessert landscape. Looking forward to your progression of the new content.
As s a homeowner of 4 different domiciles since 1977, I can tell you, there is plenty of adventure afoot. Pretty little area you found. Enjoyed the mix.
Not too far from you is Rucker Canyon. You catch the road just outside of El Frida AZ. The road dead ends into Bear Canyon Campground. Some nice hiking in the area. Bear Canyon Campground always seems about 20' cooler. Also, there are some notorious people buried in AZ. Grave sites are fun to visit. One such place is the grave of Johnny Ringo, Dragoon, Arizona. See you down the trail.
Chris, I was just curious. What precautions do you take to ward off critters while hiking or camping in the desert. Diamond backs, scorpions , black widow exc?! Safe travels Perry
I worked for years for the California State School System. As an accountant. My boss, The lady who hired me. The head California Community College Accountant, retired. She and her husband divested everything California and relocated to AZ... Now I am in a place... Trying to find a safe place to retire to and be safe,
While your story will continue to be about the adventure of learning, growing, and changing, your new home base should let you do that in different ways. How about sharing your experience of taking some cooking classes and maybe changing your food and health game? I have some friendly laughs about your food choices on the road, and it’s a part of your image and personality at this point. But, it’s difficult to see you settled into a house with a kitchen for 4 months, then hitting up Jimmy John’s on the way out of town. And, while chips and bottled queso are certainly easy, leaving an actual house and traveling in the Revel (a tiny home) could let you prepare great frozen/refrigerated food for the road, which would require about the same amount of time to warm and eat. Just a thought - please continue to share your genuine self, wherever that takes the two of you!
So bummed I missed Cyclovia this year...fantastic event for the Dirty T. Welcome home! Edit: If you ever want to go mountain biking, hit me up, this is a fantastic place for it. Is it cool to buy you a beer if I see you around?
HI CHRIS 👋 GORGEOUS WEATHER SCENERY COLORS VIEWS BEAUTY LANDSCAPE WEATHER VIDEO FOOTAGE 📹 LOVE THE BACKDROP AROUND THE CAMPSITES YOU LOOKED & CAMPED AT ! CHRIS IS POISON IVY, SUMAC & OAK AS BAD OUT THAT WAY AS IT IS IN THE EASTERN COAST STATES ? BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 🍨 GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 🙏 THANK YOU 🙏
I’ll continue to watch no matter what, and you inspire me to start a similar channel from my Volkswagen EuroVan and running my dog Kennel. What type of camera do you use?
Really enjoyed this episode. I'm glad you are getting a chance to settle down and enjoy a more permanent existence. Love your back yard. It does look very relaxing. I think you are taking the right approach and I'm sure you will continue to provide excellent videos. I do love your presentation and look forward to seeing much more.
Was that a Jimmy John's № 9? Looked familiar. My absolute favorite from them with hots! That is some of the most rugged canyon terrain I've seen in a while. Thanks for sharing it. Love the hidden pool at the end.
next door neighbor winters some place called " Tucson Estates " his buddy down there loves to take the ATV;s out in the desert but they always go armed cuase its not uncommon to come acrost food and water left for the folks heading north
By the way, there's only one way to tell if you're front axle is centered and that is to take measurements from a stationary point on each side and see if they match. If you don't have an adjustable front track bar, it won't make any difference, but if it's out of line by more than half an inch or so, you might want to upgrade your track bar to an adjustable one.
Just soak the misters in regular vinegar for 24 hours. It should clear them right up. And the inline refrigerator water filter that someone else mentioned is a great tip. :)
Congrats on the new homestead Chris. I find myself in Arizona often (Phoenix area) for business. But I am always in for a few days of business and back home to Michigan. I need to stop skipping the opportunity to explore Arizona while I am there.
As you see Chris. You take orangy go out, explore, and go back home happy. That's what I'm talking about. Yea, many overlanders we do the same, go explore, enjoy few days and then come back home. Hopefully next weekend we can see you on a trip with shannon big hug.
Im amazed by the diversity of a place that I see in my mind as barren. Great introduction to your new home, and absolutely agree with everyone else's sentiments about your future, whatever that may be. Will be interesting to see how you adapt to the summer heat and how that informs your travel.
Getting old is tough! I remember the day Chris when you used to eat trails like that for lunch, scrambling over rocks up cliffs etc. like there was no tomorrow. I really love following your adventures, thank you for sharing. Until next time Godspeed!
Hi Chris, your contents are still by far the best. Not all with a camera can present a good attractive video, you are doing amazing! Keep exploring and at the same time enjoy your life with your lovely Shannon and your home. LIfe has to be balanced, which I am also doing! Oh.. I went on Camping to David Mountain State Park in TX. Yes, slept inside my 4x4. My wife said.. so this is like Chir's show!
Born in Tucson I now live in Rio Verde and adventure photography is my game. If I had even 1/2 your talent I would take your new plan and run with it. Simply create multiple segments of each trip and milk it. Can't wait to tag along as usual.
Chris,I've been with you from day one and looked forward to your videos each week.Glad to hear you've finally found happiness. All the best to you but I guess it's time to move on as you have. Thanks for all the adventures...se ya'
Good balance of home life and exploration… Chris it looks like you’ve incorporated a drone for a couple of the “following shots”, I bet that saves a lot of walking and back tracking.
Chris, I've enjoyed coming along with you. I'm glad you've found happiness. Your honesty did draw me to follow your travels. You could just fake enthusiasm for the sake of continuing your vlog but then I'd stop following you. It seemed that you were looking for this for a while. How you're spending your days right now are obviously important to you. I'll check in every once in a while.
That was a perfect video! Some personal/-thats a beautiful backyard!-and lots of venturing and camping in the beautiful southwest. I do enjoy that your videos are always current and would hate to see you change that.
As a means of diagnosing your spring issue you could try switching the springs side to side. That said, you will be able to compare them when you get them out.
Keep telling the story is right … loved the adventures but I think you will find people are invested in you, not the travels … I think addressing the “elephant in the room” last week was much needed & was very much appreciated … congrats to you and Shannon on the home … look forward to seeing the new journey …
Chris add a refrigerator water filter to your mister line to help combat the calcium deposits… Drip irrigation is great as it gets the water where it’s needed, but you need to have a supply of pieces and parts on hand as somethings always in need of help.
Great to see you enjoying your backyard there in Tucson! You will definitely appreciate the misters in the summer as it gets plenty hot there. The irrigation system is also important and not really all that hard to keep maintained. I travel a lot but always appreciate coming home - the happy place!
Completely agree with you on hiring a licensed electrician to do your closet wiring. A wiring error could lead to damaging your electronics or burning down your home.
Excellent home/trip video! Great to get a glimpse of your new digs-😎 back courtyard/patio!
Great episode and nice little update on the house. That's the way to go!
Great episode Chris. When is it time for expedition Mexico??
I think you are making a good transition. I like the idea of you doing a vacation overland adventure and film it into several episodes.
Home ownership is an adventure. Life itself is an adventure. Thoroughly enjoying all the different types of adventures on this channel.
Enjoyed this episode, this I pretty much in my backyard too!
Chris, I know you don't replay (at least not here) but just know, people follow your channel because of you and not just because of the travel, I have enjoyed watching your adventures for the last four or five years, yes things have evolved, but that is to be expected. Great update and I am so happy seeing Orangy doing its thing!
Orangy.. On the road for 200,000 + miles. Being fixed when it needs to be fixed.
Good video, you incorporated the house, bike event and your time on the trail. I’m not a huge fan of heat, but there’s no denying the beauty of the dessert landscape. Looking forward to your progression of the new content.
Coronado NF is incredible. You definitely picked a great location for your home base!
Glad to see you return to original style. This was a great one to watch.
As s a homeowner of 4 different domiciles since 1977, I can tell you, there is plenty of adventure afoot. Pretty little area you found. Enjoyed the mix.
Settled down, peace and quiet, sounds like retirement.ahhh, the good life

Congratulations on finding your new home. That must have been a difficult decision to make, but I'm thinking you will be much more happy this way.

Be Careful in those little canyons bro. All of that you were hiking through was flash flood evidence.
Hey Chris, congrats on your new home and I wish you all the best on your new adventure!
Nice green trees instead of the brown burnt desert. Good job

Great to have you and Shannon now permanent in the Old Pueblo. And yes, there are plenty of place to explore in Arizona!

Definitely! Soak them in vinegar.
looking forward to the Home improvement DIY chapter of ventreu4wd!
You'll own nothing and be happy is the future
Ellis thought your name was Steve.
Lovely backyard. Time to be watching out for rattlesnakes in the backyard and out hiking. Also scorpions. Great video.
Being a total Transplant in AZ!!!!! I love it.
Welcome to amazing Tucson - so much to see and do and so diverse ! Enjoy …

I grew up in Arizona Tucson. Really enjoying your series and congratulations on finding a place. Tucson has hard water.
Jimmy John's next to a hidden pool in Coronado National Forest? Now THAT is a bitchin' day!
That was a perfect video! Some personal/-thats a beautiful backyard!-and lots of venturing and camping in the beautiful southwest. I do enjoy that your videos are always current and would hate to see you change that.
LOL, welcome to home ownership, yea 30-60 years sounds about right! Nice backyard, having a space like that can not be overstated enough.

Are you living in the Tucson area? Looks familiar. I love how close you seem to live near the great outdoors.
That’s a lot of bicycles! Thanks for the adventure!!
Welcome to Arizona / Tucson ! Well so nothring really beat the AZ heat.
Yep..been awhile..congrats on the house n keep on 4 wheelin..thanks
Great show Chris. Hope you can work something out for the adventure.
Be careful out there, my daughter and son in law do search and rescue there. They stay busy in those canyons due to heat exhaustion.
wow .... i was worrried for a minute, but then we see ya eating again driving so thanks your great
Texas plates but home owner in Arizona
Another great video Mr.Chris I likes it
Ever been to the Texas canyon area between Benson and San Simon?
I see you got high hiking shoes. How is you foot healing?
Great video thank you!
I'm confused; you live in Arizona, but you have a Texas plate only on the rear and I believe Texas requires front and rear plates.
Arizona registration costs are based on vehicle value, which can get very expensive. Everyone new to Arizona tries what they can to avoid those costs.
2:24 Did anyone recognize you?
Great episode 🎉!

Congratulations! I bought 20 acres up in Idaho and STILL taking camping trips at different spots around the property!
Loved the bouganvilla in your literal backyard. It comes in orange too.
30 to 60 years!😂 Good attitude!
Great to see you enjoying your backyard there in Tucson! You will definitely appreciate the misters in the summer as it gets plenty hot there. The irrigation system is also important and not really all that hard to keep maintained. I travel a lot but always appreciate coming home - the happy place!

well, this channel has jumped the shark.
Oh piss off
Time to end it. Lost complete interest.
Good, go away 🤣
