I have a 17 Year old cat who has always drooled to show his affection, even though he is a mighty hunter and all-around bad-@$$. Miss Pink is in great company.
Thank for being cheerful and creative at this time. I think Brooke's fence idea is really smart. The gates are beautiful. It will be so nice to have a kitchen garden. My grandparents had one. Pinky is so cute. I'm praying for you all desvastated by Hurrican Helene.
With the second little chicken 🐔 house, because it's up off the ground, you can build a ramp for them to be able to go in it. The gate is really nice. The garden beds look fantastic. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️..
The new garden is going to be great …I am anxious to watch it all come together. I’m glad you changed your mind about where to put that beautiful fencing that Brook got a while ago..so you will see it as you drive in…it’s going to look so pretty there. Also the area behind Brooke’s mom’s house will be so much nicer for her. Great job! ❤️
Jason, you may want to drill some holes and put rebar through the wood for those double level gardens so that the wood doesn't shift after you put the soil in. After a year or so, I think you may run into trouble otherwise. I know the wood logs are very heavy, but soil is heavier. Oak weighs about 60 to 70 lbs per cubic foot ... whereas a cubic foot of soil weighs 110 to 140 pounds. When soaked with rain ... soil weighs a LOT more. Just a suggestion. It's going to look awesome! I am very jealous of all your space!
Aw, it ended. I wasn't expecting it to. I was ready for some fencing to go down. This is going to look so good. I suggest make sure to put in plenty of gates - at least one of every stretch. Remember how you wish you had put in more on the first pastures. The animal clips were adorable. Moody resting his big old head on Mildred was extra special.
Jason, time for your school assignment, go to the history of the Japanese. The castles, shrines that were built thousands of years ago, had their logs buried in ground were burnt. As far as you forgetting your tools? open your wallet (Jack Benny) and get a small box for tool to leave in the side by side (it does not come out) and buy tape, big screwdriver, fence tool, knife, and other small items so you don't waste all your time going back again. Get a carpenter apron, nothing fancy but pockets.
Back when I worked in a manufacturing plant, the daily maintenance jobs were planned out, staffed and given to the maintenance crews to execute. There was a central toolroom and then every division also had a satellite toolroom. Turned out that hourly paid crews never planned out to carry the right tools to get the scheduled maintenance done on time. This had serious ramifications to operations (think spare pumps out-of-service for longer than necessary and therefore not available if the main pumps unexpectedly failed, the consequences being a potential plant shutdown!). The maintenance department started getting unwanted visibility for repair turnarounds taking much longer than planned. This kicked off an efficiency review which uncovered the fact that crews were not carrying the right set of tools and were making way too many trips back to these toolrooms. The head of maintenance then did a stand-down, reorganized and rolled out new training to cut down on this loss of time. Repair turnaround times decreased and all it took was to plan the day with the right set of tools next to the scheduled jobs.
When you said the silkies couldn’t get up in that coop, if you do need it, you can build them a ramp going up in it. I can’t wait to see this area finished. Blessings from TN❤
Jason: Heres a thought and it will save you time. With your new beep beep..put a measuring tape in the Kubota so you will have one no matter where you are on the property.. Just always put it back
A couple ideas you might want to consider: 1) Bending a cattle panel over the propane tank and planting roses or something on it for camouflage. 2) if you put 3 more silkies in with Mrs. Snow-white, you'd have all 7 dwarves, but I don't know how you'd tell them apart.
I was thinking the same thing! With that gate and wooden fence on the side, the propane man should be able to access the tank. They usually have a long enough hose.
NC and Tennessee we are praying for you all. God please protect all of your children during this time. Peace be with everyone and give them comfort. In Jesus Name Amen!❤
I absolutely love trees and I know they help with cooling costs but after several major storms, I won't be buying a house with one near my home again. It's a minimum of 1K to trim them and haul away branches and that was over 10 years ago. Not to mention damage they have done to the foundation, pavement, and sidewalks and my roof. Trees roots span just as far and wide as their branches. I had a tree branch come from the tree in the next yard over and enter my roof like a lawn dart during a tornado (It's a really tall and very weak tree). I think people tend to fail to think about the long term when planting trees. The same big oaks have now caught a virus and I just know it's going to be a fortune to treat/remove.
Jason, this video shows what an editing genius you are! I loved seeing the process of moving the timbers flow into a medley of the animals...just a glimpse with beautiful music in the background... and then, back to the garden ♥
I'm so excited for this project, I've been waiting on this one to happen. I know without a doubt it is going to look soooo good. I'm happy to see Ms Pink out and about also. I love that all the animals have a buddy to pal around with if they want one (especially Ms Snow White) You two are just special people !
So satisfying watching you two!! Brooke I am soooo glad you are back to your ole self, you are looking good and so glad you are feeling good too. Great idea's guys and can't wait to see it finished, it will be so beautiful with those iron gates! Have a great day! 🥰
Good morning 🌞. Your gates are absolutely beautiful 😍. This area when completed is really going to be lovely. Wonderful to see Miss Pink 💖. OXOXO to you and all your family and animals ❣️
Jason and Brooke, I do enjoy watching you two work together. I hope you two realized how blessed you are that you both share the same dream. Life is so much easier that way. God bless you all.
Is that a catio or aviary behind Brook's mom's apartment? Either way I love it. And is that a shared L-shaped dog run/potty run for both residences? I love how you guys thought of and incorporated those spaces if so. Kind of jellie lol 😉.
I am so excited to see you and Brooke bringing back focus on the Potager Garden. It’s going to be beautiful when ya’ll are finished . . . I just know it. 🤗 The gates being more of a focus is a great idea. All that beauty shouldn’t be hidden in the back. Pink is just so precious. Such a loving sweet kitty. Looking forward to seeing her coming around more. And that huge handsome Moody resting himself on Mildred is the cutest and sweetest thing ever. Such a gentle giant he is. Yes!!! . . . to more Silkies. I just adore you all, your farm and your animals so much. Blessings 🙏🏽💓💐
I have so many comments today… I had the same idea about displaying the iron gates in a more visible area since they are so grand. Great idea Brooke!! ❤
I'm so excited to see how the protoge(sp) progresses and seeing about the finished project! Your show just gives my heart such peace. Yes! Definitely get 3 hens 😂, or 5,or 13. Blessing on your family ❤
It is a joy to see you get back to your protégé garden. It’s been a minute since you’ve been out there to work on it because everything else took priority but it’s gonna come out pretty nice and I love those gates. I was wondering what you were going to do with them after Brooke got them that was almost a year ago. I think if not longer, well they’re gonna look really nice on the protégé garden and that’s right you need space to get the tractor in and out because of the compost and soil and like you said any new plants that need housing until they’re ready to go in the ground, you need to carry them around some how And I think a couple gorilla carts would also be helpful😂❤❤❤❤❤
The best bantams we raised were Cochins. They are a lot like silkies. I called them my little puffballs. We also raised Japanese Blacktails, very pretty. Was just wondering how your propane will be delivered with all those gates.
Lordy lordy, if your videos were longer. I'd get nothing done all day.😂 I'd beng out. However, I've watched y'all for so long I've already seen them. My highlight of the day = coghill farm 40😊

The fence will be so practical and the gates are amazing!! Those are the perfect gates for your Portager Garden. It's wonderful knowing Brooke feels so much better. She isn't one to sit still, especially when there's tractor work to be accomplished. Definitely the hardest-working, most dedicated and loving couple I have ever seen on UA-cam or in Real Life!

Remember to leave room for the propane company to refill the propane tank.
They have long hoses on the trucks. Our tank was nearly impossible, but the long hose was perfect.
BTW thank you for including all of us on this new garden expansion. So exciting. Beautiful plan.💕

On some farms ppl yell at their donkeys to get out of the way, at Cog Hill Farm Jason wishes them 'You have a blessed day!'.

That would be a great timesaver, for sure.
A screen gazebo with fairy lights would make spending evenings outdoors pleasant no mosquitoes.
Yes, by all means, Silkie hens for the back garden area!
Praying for everyone in this beautiful United States of
America.. GOD BLESS YA'LL ❤❤❤

I thought the same thing.

YES, YES, YES! A pretty fence around the garden & house! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
Prayers for all the people that are without everything they need. The hurricane was devastating to so many. God Bless y'all 🙌 🙏🏻 🙏🏻🙏🏻
May I suggest y’all plant shade trees near the house? YES, more silkies! Woohoo! I’ve been waiting for this project! TYTY for sharing! ❤️❤️🙏❤️❤️
Planting one oak or maple tree in the center of each grass section on the side of the house would look amazing.
I think there's always room for more _TREES_
I wouldn’t plant trees that can fall on the structures.
Silkies are so pretty!
