If you notice when you enter each bosses' respective part of the dungeon you first go through a portal. So it's possible that you are actually going to a part of Mechagon that Millhouse and his wife are located at. Mechagon music even plays during the encounter.
If you look at the map in the instance, you can see each place is labeled. Hakkar is in Zul'Gurub (in a version of Zul Gurub with green mist and upside down temples, so the Emerald Dream), the Manastorms are in Mechagon, and the Broker is in Ardenweald. They're not dead! The Other Side can just connect to the Azerothian Dream, Azeroth's reality, and Ardenweald
Really? Nothing about the insane lore dump we got from this dungeon? That Bwonsamdi used to be a regular troll with potentially a mate/GF? That Bwonsamdi has connections all over the mortal and non-mortal universe, which is rare for loa? That Muehzala was capable of capturing Bwonsamdi, but Bwonsamdi was still protecting the troll souls from the maw? Dude was thought to be a villain, but he may be a cool anti hero in the eyes of blizz. We know from Zalazane's Fall that trolls kinda stopped worshipping Bwonsamdi after some time, but Muehzala's speech basically points that he was before even that. It could be that Bwonsamdi was part of the first troll clan and made a deal with Muehzala to lead his people away from the fear of the maw, but had to become a loa to do so.... something we see potentially going on with Voljin.
Hmm probably caus this has been known for a bit from alpha/beta times so it's not that massive of a lore dump anymore. . Don't know about bwonsamdi seen as a villain though, he's been rocking that deal/anti hero bit for a while now + 2:17 + there's a night fae campaign still to be released in which we'll dive a bit more into the bwonsamdi/mueh'zala bit. Sadly the dungeons don't fully line up with the campaign releases like we've seen with spires of ascension.
I think the general idea is you are going in and out of the Shadowlands with the doors you go through. Not that those 3 bosses are actually in the Shadowlands at least in the case of the Manstorms.
Coming into this dungeon with no prior knowledge of any story reveals from beta, I was definitely confused. My guild mates started explaining the mythic mechanics of Mueh’zala’s encounter while I was still reeling over that gargantuan lore reveal. I personally don’t find the Nightfae very interesting, but knowing that their campaign will involve Bwonsamdi makes me reconsider my next alt’s covenant.
If there's one gripe i have with the lore in this expansion it is that you're thrown into half of those dungeons without any context because your chosen covenant's campaign story didn't cover that. Story hooks for the dungeons should not have been locked behind the covenants.
i find it weird that you didn't mention the fact that Mueh'zala was mention in vanilla wow in the desert dungeon Zul'Farrak in Tanaris. he is the original Loa of death, there was a inscription tablet that explain that Bwonsamdi was 2nd to Mueh'zala and that Mueh'zala wanted to consume the soul of everything.
That last line form Mueh'zala is extremely important bc up until then we thought that N'Zoth was the manipulator but it makes alot more sense if the jailer was planning this from all the way back in legion and let N'Zoth throw us off his track
I mean the only other group that could face the voidlords are death aka jailer mawsworn. Thing is the void can go between life and death any plane of existence

We still don't know origin of trolls I don't think. They weren't titan creations after all. Mueh'zalas abilities are named after space and reality, not after death and blood like you'd think given his status so that suggests he's much more important being in cosmos than just god of one race in one planet. Maybe like with Elune he also has influence in multiple planeta but unlike Elune everyone just abandoned him because of his destructive ways and he had to find more charismatic proxies like Bwomsamdi to keep himself in power and when even that hardly worked, maybe because Legion demicated most of the planets with life, he finally had to turn into Jailer. There's a thing that i've not understood, since we talked about the ethereal boss. Are the cartel members basically the same race but reskinned of the ethereal that we encountered since TBC? (Consortium)
I think one the main problems with the Warcraft story is the fact that the expansions are always trying to pioneer drastically new settings and elements. It kind of feels like it has a bit of the Simpsons syndrome, where maybe the game has outlived its narrative and what were left with is an obligation of entertainment that simply moults into colorful new skins rather than actually evolving.
Although I do agree they could put a little more effort into enemy designs. However, for this particular dungeon, the reskins of undead trolls felt very fresh despite being reskins, and the banshees in Ardenweald feel new
He can take on any random form, wiki says anything from whale shark to human to just straight up burning black flames. It says his troll form is 12 ft tall but idk what he’s supposed to be in the dungeon.

the best shadowlands dungeon imo
Shadowlands expansion giving us some gud lore.
I disagree, and I've been palying since 2006. Would you rather them NOT pioneer drastically new settings and elements?
Although I do agree they could put a little more effort into enemy designs. However, for this particular dungeon, the reskins of undead trolls felt very fresh despite being reskins, and the banshees in Ardenweald feel new
why do people think hes the Loa of death when he clearly says debt? and then we do this dungeon....
bob salami is the best thing about this expansion
LuL imagine doing this dungeon for lore perspective as alliance.....
I’m sorry but it was kinda funny when you died bc of the oil-push in mechagon
Well, we now know what Bwonsamdi's boss is.
Just a thought, draneis donot go to shadowlands? dont see any there.
I've seen some, there are definitely some draenai spirits in Torghast too.
Zul'Gurub was merely a setback!
Is it just me or does Mueh'Zala look like Lucifer from Dante's inferno after he is chained back down?
How tall is mueh'zala exactly?? Been wondering since he seemingly stretches up from the purple mist
He can take on any random form, wiki says anything from whale shark to human to just straight up burning black flames. It says his troll form is 12 ft tall but idk what he’s supposed to be in the dungeon.
