Library listeners! Welcome back to another lore supercut! This time around we are diving into some of the darkest, most tragic, and heartbreaking lore ever created in WoW, just in time for Halloween 🎃 👻 Taking a moment to thank you all for the continued support across the library. We have recently upgraded our PC hardware and are still going through the process of getting back into the swing of making these tales, so this supercut was put together to ensure that not too many moons passed before our next tale. We are experimenting with ideas, software and techniques to try and improve these stories and videos so stay tuned, theres plenty to come! 📚📖
It’s crazy how many times I’ve heard these stories before and they are never any less interesting. The lore of wow is so vast and creative that it just never gets old. Here’s to another 20 years of amazing storytelling 🎉
I really love your two hour or longer videos. I hope I get to hear more of them. I love Wow, myself. I have so many of those books and I love them all.
Possible alternate storyline: Tyrande DOES die to the scourge, is raised to be Sylvanas’ counterpart. Malfurion is distraught and joins Illidan in his fight against the Lich King. Fill in the rest with your mind. Would have made a sick parallel universe instead of whatever they did with WoD.
Something I don't quite understand.. Maybe this is an error, or maybe I'm just not understanding something: In the section on Duskwood, you speak of Medivh and Karazhan. You mention Moroes and his bringing people to Karazhan to basically cheer him up, right, and you mention Aegwynn.. I'm familiar with kara, and how it is in the in-game raid, etc.. Now, to the part I don't understand: In the book, The Last Guardian. This was written before WoW came out, I think, cuz it has some things that don't seem right, well, still, it is the story of everything in Karazhan from the arrival of Khadgar, when Medivh was just a recluse that the Kirin Tor wanted to keep tabs on, to the defeat of Medivh. In this book, Aegwynn is long dead, and no one aside from Khadgar, Cook, Moroes, or Garona is ever mentioned to be in the tower aside from Medivh himself. The Last Guardian doesn't leave any room for anything else to have been written parallel to that, as it was the constant story of Khadgar in Karazhan.. so Aegwynn, other people, etc could never have been in Karazhan while Medivh was knowingly bad, because he was not known to be evil before Khadgar went there. So is this just crappy writing? Were there other books just carelessly overlapped with this with no attention to detail (crappy writing), or am I missing something? I hope it's the latter, because I hate that so much of the lore feels retconned. Thanks.
From what I have read, don't remember right now. Aegwynn knew of the dark side of Medivh when he was around 12 and fell into a coma after a trip in the woods. She had staged her death but still kept an eye on him. I think they explained it better in the comic (unfortunately not cannon).
There's 1 advert every 30-40 minutes, this is 10 less than what was reconmended. If you're seeing more than that, then the platform is pushing Ad's (that are out of my control) onto you unfortunately.

Nope, The Lich King was an entity created by Kil'jaeden the Deceiver from the spirit of the orcish shaman Ner'zhul. Initially trapped within the Frozen Throne, the Lich King eventually merged with the human Arthas Menethil. The Jailer used the Runecarver to make the Domination gear (The Helm and Frostmourne). The artifacts of the Lich King are tied to the Runecarver (who made it), the Jailer (who ordered and ruled it) and the Nathrezim (who delivered them). The Dreadlords gave it to Kiljaden, who used it to create the Lichking (Nerzhul).
Yeah what the guy above me said. The lich king was created by the burning legion and they made the orc nerzul into it basically as a punishment for the horde failing to kill the humans and having the dark portal sealed.

Lich king have been created by the jailer, so not directly by burning legion
