    Have you tested Moza SR-P pedals to compare them with the P500? Moza fixed the soft and long travel of SR-P with the brake kit and I think Simagic will launch their own brake kit with more springs and damper block to use thr 100kg load cell better. Because It seems a big mistake that Simagic damper/washer does not affect until the last 30-40% brake travel. Perhaps it is a compromise for desk users. Because you can't have a stiff brake and floor use.

    • @darthsnape
      @darthsnape  4 дні тому

      Agreed. It is a bit of an issue for desk users. And I did try the SRP, though not extensively. I was not a big fan of the throttle. But it is better for desk users.

    Awesome initial review! These look so similar to the Logitech G Pro Pedals. Wonder if you tried those yet and if so how do they compare. We're in the Golden Age of sim racing, been holding off into getting locked in a ecosystem. Your videos has been super helpful in my research. Keep up the great work and hopefully more companies can send you more products to review.

      Thank for watching, John and I agree with your comment. We are truly in the golden age of sim-racing. I haven’t gotten an opportunity to try the G pro pedals yet, but I hope that changes soon!

    I wonder which pedals are better, the Simagic P500 or the Fanatec CSL Elite V2?
    Got the latter for 200€ + delivery last year. However for personal reasons i wasn't able to use them yet.

    • @darthsnape
      @darthsnape  6 днів тому +1

      There will always be newer and better gear out there. If you haven’t had the chance to use your CSL Elite V2 yet, I’d suggest giving it a try first. You can always upgrade later, but enjoying the experience is what truly matters.
      And to answer your question, CSL elite V2 is a solid contender as well. I’d say it can go either way in terms of functionality.

    • @Thorkell_Joms
      @Thorkell_Joms 4 дні тому

      On desk (floor) this P500 are better because the softer brake. On rig/cockpit the CSL V2 brake is better (stiffer) but unusable on desk or wheelstand with office chair. Just buy simagic haptics and adapter to your Fanatec pedals.

    200 just for two pedqls. Me i like travle I have my p1000s set up with travle. I'm 10x better at trail braking that way and so so consistent. Just need to adapt for a week and the results speak for themslves 😉 so these are awesome imo for people who like travel on the brake.
    Im so happy somagic knows real brakes arent brick walls either. Ive driven a bmw gt3 a modern one and they have travel! They even have some mush from the liquid in the hydraulics. You can feel it and it goes in much deeper then people think.
    I think what happened is a brand said a sim pedql was realsitic as a sales pitch and the community manus ended up jumping on the bandwagon yet im sry f1 pedqls are brick walls but gt3 and gt4 cars are not. They have amazing travel and im so happy to see that brands are starting to realize it. Even the simucube active pedals there pro gt3 driver made a preset and it has travel! Lol guys i challenge you to add some travel in your pedals practice for 1 week and watch the results show for themselves. It helps tremendously for trail braking. This pedql set will shock peoole if they get used to it showing what im saying. Yes these have a little to much travel but imo better then brick walls.
    On my p1000s i use either the red and yellow spring together or the blue and yellow. Just enough throw to do long trail braking with ease.

      The pricing is really solid alongside everything else. The lateral movement of pedals was my main area of improvement; Not that I have had any issues with the pre-existing spacing.
      I’m glad P500 got the spacing and lateral movement right. And I agree with the travel. I find long travel super beneficial on rally and short travel beneficial on track racing. Either way, the travel is great for a lot of people and beginners. Imo, it’s a solid entry from Simagic.

    Thanks for your review, would you recommend getting this set or should I stick to my T-LCM (3 years+)? The only thing I've done to my set is swap out a red spring for 3pcs of rubber dampeners & washers to keep them separated.

    • @darthsnape
      @darthsnape  6 днів тому +1

      If the haptics are something which interests you, I’d say they alone would be a great reason to upgrade. Aside from that, if you find T-LCM’s throttle and clutch a bit weak, these new pedals will be able to solve the issue as extra springs come in the box. Also, the brakes are better.

    • @iterati0n
      @iterati0n 6 днів тому

      Buy a set of simsonn or simjack pedals instead. Ive owned my t-lcm's for over a year and ive just ordered the simsonn pedals today, they are basically less fleshed out heusinkveld sprint's for the price of a new set of t-lcm's. I'll probably sell my t-lcm's once the new pedals are all set up so its basically a free upgrade

    I have TLCMs after I was fighting HE Sprints LOL (I simply didnt like them in any way except build quality) and now looking at those they do look like good upgrade but TLCMs feel so freaking natural and like irl car I just need to get those vibrators LOL

    • @darthsnape
      @darthsnape  3 дні тому +1

      Actually, you know what, something similar happened to me as well. I have been using my Sprints for about one and a half year, upgraded from T-LCM just like you. I enjoyed using them and when switched to P500 for review, I absolutely fell in love with how little effort I had to put in compared to Sprints.

      @@darthsnape Exactly XD I prefer more comfort than realism since I have never nor do I plan to drive GT3 car BUT to have realistic feel like in my A1 is important :) great since you already told me on Reddit that I need pwr adapter for haptics, I will get those and then wait till Mini with gts wheel is in stock somewhere LOL

      @@darthsnape Yeah and I heard some pretty bad stuff too. Soft steel, thin plates, bad tolerances, buggy software and elastomers which fall apart after a while. The only pedal set in this price range that I would recommend are the CSL Elite V2 without the clutch pedal.
