3D camera movement is what got me to learn blender, and I'm loving how much it has opened up my abilities, using both mediums in tandem. I am now comfortable with eyeballing perspective with objects in motion
Yes, I'm seing the same thing with my experiments. I actually had given up animation because I thought it was impossible to do the kind of animation I wanted to do with the limited free time I had and having to learn to draw and all those different perspectives untill Blender released Grease Pencil and I decided to give it a try. And I am socked by the speed I am improving, specially because I'm able to manipulate 3D reference. I thought it would be a cheat it turned out to be an amazing way to learn.
3D camera movment is deifinitely one of the animation skills I'm practicing and accomplishing so I can be comfortable with taking tough shots like this. I appreciate you sharing your process Howard.
It's a creative decision what lens to emulate. I talk a lot about focal length choices in the course. Wide angle - is great for kinetic z depth movement involving the camera. Curved lines - when pushed can feel wild and daring. Viewer feels extremely close to the subject Telephoto - good for focussed shots. Good for characters . Straight lines, calm "designer" feel. The viewer feels distant from the subject. But i'm just scratching the surface there. I cover it here too: ua-cam.com/video/UA-5Gf_tc1Y/v-deo.html
Please make a video on braking down the kimetsu no yaiba season 2 episode 17. It will blow your mind and will be a good video in terms of revenues cuz demon slayer is so popular Love your work keep it up

actually, howard! I don't know if you've covered it yet, but - how do you decide the best lens width for your shots? This always seems to trouble me.

Hi, I love your animations and videos. By the way, it’s a cheetah! xD
I should have known that! 😂😂
If i may ask, where do you get these reference from?
i procrastinate and surf the internet, especially on youtube. When i find something good i save it to a playlist so that i can find it later
Please, what software is this?
TVPaint
You don't use one point/two point perspective?
?? Last time I checked... I do.
i cover point perspective in depth, in earlier lessons in the course
@@HowardWimshurst ahh okok, sorry didn't notice that
