I got a little bored one day and so played around with different BBC News themes and came up with this mix Music Owned By BBC Television No Infringement Ment for educational reasons only

heyyy funny you should be a spiritual radio network and want this... I'm working with a church organist to use the orchestral score to use it as countdown to worship on Sundays

The mix is made up of many different BBC news tunes over the years of the David Lowe era (original theme composer) as they are all at 120. Beats per minute it makes for a very easy mix that sounds great together

The whooshing sound is a little odd but overall not a bad effort :)

Idk, the music is overall *nice* but just a bit messy at points. I guess it’s 7 mins though so fair enough.
The random whoosh noise really spoils it in my opinion :( Other than that it's great.

Still sounds like all the rest, the only way to improve this theme was to try something new for a Countdown - but what?.
Not likely to happen now the BBC have got rid of the world leading talented staff and second to none facilities such as television centre and pebble mill

Please please please BBC, change your music and graphic design team - bloody terrible Branding.
Why should they? They have the best Montage and musical introduction to the news and when you have the best you don't change it at people's whims . The BBC can afford to play that blissful introduction without changing a thing and still it would remain the best news intro . in the world. I even play the seven minutes countdown at home to sooth my thoughts and would frequently imagine myself working there as an anchor and dancing behind the scenes before I present the news. The music is always current and showcases England at its best. I love it.
Incredible 20 years of countless countdowns, looked like the BBC candle won’t burn out of wick anytime soon, surely you remember before 1999 when there was no countdowns...?
