My number one media institution..imagine even my phone ringtone is the BBC ORCHESTRA NEWS count down...wish I can visit the United kingdom and visit the offices
That's funny, I use the tune to get to sleep at night. The repetitive beep beep beep helps me to slow my breathing down and then I fall asleep within around 2 minutes!
The BBC countdown always reminds me of being stuck in Vienna during the volcano eruption in Iceland. I would wake up every day to see if planes were flying; at 6 am on BBC the countdown would start.
Music has strong connection with current affairs of the world and what is the latest updates from across the globe. Hearing this music, one gets the feeling to kick start off the day and be energetic for the work at the same time keeping the mind relax for better outcome. Love and Respect from India
Highly Exciting man ! It really suggests our world without a word but only by an expressive tune, even better than speaking the news by words, specially the last 10 seconds mixed with a countdown beeps which comes to the very peak of story! Thanks to whoever made it!
This is what the BBC show (mainly at weekends) when BBC One is simulcasting the news, from the BBC News Channel. This actual 10 minute video wasn't broadcast BUT on the Saturday that BBC One was showing the Eurovision Song Contest, the BBC News Channel broadcast around about 1m20s of the 'filler' which I was able to edit into the continuous loop.
I love listening to these tones everyday, and because of the constant crash zooming in their countdowns, I usually think a crash zoom everytime the drum beats whenever I listen to this
Thank you for the compliment. It did take several attempts to get it just right. Hopefully you have seen the 60 minute version that I put together too?
Oh...my favorite channel. I'm still remember 2008.. with every head of an hour. attending countdown was very important issue.. Then the headlines with Nick..or owen Thomas..or Peter dobbie..or Michel Hussain..or Zeinab Badawi..Geeta guru murthy..or lyse docet..or babita sharma and the other nice team.! then go back quickly so as to read for *Sudanese certificate examinations ! I'm so happy to fulfil my dreams and be a doctor now!! Thank you very much indeed! :-) @ Best wishes to all!
The music is as written by David Lowe who wrote all the current BBC News music. The *real* filler countdown as used by the BBC is a 60 second video that continuously repeats over and over and over again, therefore the music that David Lowe wrote for the filler is a 60 second piece designed to merge together in a seemless fashion - This therefore means that I have no control over it as what you see and hear on screen is an *exact* recreation of what would happen if the BBC played it continuously
very impressive editing work. Thank you for taking the trouble of making the video and uploading it for share. I've listened to it as a background music whilst doing something else for over an hour. Now this might be a challenge : could anyone please name ALL the BBC reporters in this video ? I've seen some of them for so many years without ever paying attention to their names ...
Excellent loop and well done on getting it so seamless. If I had to pick something up as a point to work on, I think you jump into the lead in chorus much too soon and much too often. The lead in chorus is the bit that starts getting you on edge as a build up to the main chorus and I think its best avoided until you start getting closer to the end of the video. Loop a bit more of the repetition so it sounds more like a background piece.
this is actually hard to stop hitting replay, a 10 hour thing would be cool, even though there's a 10 hour version for 100,000 other things already. but still
@fosterliberty We do get CNN International in USA, but it is lined up with the premium channels, and usually is not that much visible. I have always watched CNN International (outside of US) and it was a great disappointment to see CNN-USA as compared to the CNN International
No, the audio is not my work at all. All I have done is stitch together a video to represent a continuous 'BBC News Channel filler countdown' which you only ever usually get to see around 45 seconds to 1.5 minutes (if lucky) of, and as people tend to like the BBC News music (both UK and World versions) I thought I would put together this version for people to hopefully enjoy :)
Hello. Many links about the stars of lesser known journalists of BBC World News on the site itself or on the net or google : www.bbc.com/news/world-radio-and-tv-23426239 ; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_BBC_newsreaders_and_reporters ;
Beats what they used to do in New Zealand, when the transmission was stuffed, they put up a single image of a cartoon Kiwi accidentally pulling a plug, with a worried look on his face, LOL
This music is great, have you heard the BBC News theme Kuwait 1m41s, it's tremendously powerful, upbeat, full of hope I think the music is even better than the current UK music.
Whenever I feel depressed I listen to this music.
Dont be, everything else they broadcast really is crap. ..

I don't know, but every time I'm listening to their music, it makes me productive at work. I'm actually an aspiring to be part of this media company.

I am pleased you have enjoyed it for so long.

Keeping this as my default ringtone since 2018 . Also gives me vibe for the UPSC preparation.
Living in America when major news hits I immediately put it on the BBC News Channel. The reason they are the best in the business
Been round along long long time
Fantastic intro BBC ❤️🇬🇧
Stylish. Slick. Urbane. I've always loved the BBC's graphics and titles for their news.
Pure class from the Brits as usual.
Probably the best news intro ….
No probably, it's the best ..!
This music speaks of a proud British heritage in journalism and broadcasting. A special and unique nation.
