why cant we see and hear what it actually sounds like? why is the landing edited to cut out how it actually get back on the ground? Forward flight sequences hard to come by…why is that?
This appears to be a hover test. Maintaining a position. However, the footage hints at movement as if the vehicle is moving towards a heading. OR (likely) its a camera rig on a ground vehicle moving pretty fast. So there might be a little trickery here to let the public create assumptions.
At this stage of the game. They're only at the hover testing phase? That is disappointing. Not to mention this video is 2 months old. And i still haven't seen any update testing videos. Have you seen this midnight fly in transition yet?

cheaper op cost given that it leverages fixed wing aerodynamics, relying on less engine power to go forward. plus, the electric powertrain is supposed to be less complex and less prone to catasrophic failures by leveraging distributed propulsion. less noisy, effectively zero noise if you factor the ambience of a city, thus not subject to operating limitations, thus the utilzation rates would be higher since its not sitting in a hanager accruing costs. i could go on.
