Hello Bill i'm a bit of a newbie at this work but have a question you might be able to help with. I've just had my gearbox rebuilt and I'm currently trying to setup my clutch, I've read what I can find on the net but i'm having a bit of trouble with step one adjusting the clutch actuator arm at the back of the gearbox. Just to understand does the gearbox adjuster screw (20mm long screw with locknut) need to be set so that it pushes onto clutch slave cylinder piston if you understand what I mean. At present I'm struggling to see that it does on my LeMans 3.
Sorry for the delay in reply and you probably have it sorted by now, but there should always be a little free play in the clutch actuating mechanism otherwise the thrust bearing is always engaged, which would lead to early wear and possible slip/drag.
I hope that you changed the locking wire, to a zip tie.
Good luck! (Thumbs up).
Thanks!

Why do you pull the clutch, that is not necessary when changing the gear, with engine shut.
Habit. But you are correct it is not needed.
