I was so inspired by this video, at first I printed the genaille Lucas ruler but still wasn't satisfied and started today 02-01-21 building my own wooden rulers ♥️
Whoever engineered this is a genius and also insane.
I was taught Genaille-Lucas Rulers when I was a child for how to do quick multiplication for large numbers without a calculator. You can even draw them on paper. You make a grid for the numbers you need. Lets pick 435 x 25, for this you need a grid that 3 squares wide and 2 squares deep, the number go on the left and top of the grid, 25 and 435 respectively. Each square is bisected from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. Each square is a multiplication of the number on the top and the one on the left. 4 x 2, 3 x 2, 5 x 2 and so on until the grid is completed. To write it in the square the left of the bisect is tens and right is units, so 4 x 2 = 0/8 and 2 x 5 = 1/0. Once the grid is completed you continue each bisect to a new line to create a set of "channels". Now add the numbers in each of those, carrying any 10s as a 1 to the next one, starting right to left.

I think that’s called lattice
right if you have drawn the rods you will have a set of diagonal lines, extend each to a new line. The diagonal lines between the boxes make diagonal "columns" and you add each "column" then you can get to the answers shown.

Genaille-Lucas rulers in different base systems would be interesting (i.e. hexadecimal, binary, dodecimal, etc.).
Binary is trivial, as these only multiply by a single-digit number. The others would be interesting.

Naw, if your the DM and the person rolls a "O" and they needed to roll high, your 'oh no, you fumbled'. If there were supposed to roll low, then it's "Opps you fumbled, thats a 10."
Of your course you do know that 0 - 9 is actually ten digits.
Except any time you roll percentile dice you end up using the 0 as a zero. Both ways are valid and all the DnD players here should know that.
