    Notion have a lot of tools for planning everything and keeping track of your game development, it has tons of different types of tables and calendars. Personal vertion is free now, so you can look up if it fits your needs

      I did end up using notion! At least for some development stuff. For tasks, on the other hand, I found a trello plugin that allows me to use timers to count the time I am on any given task. At the end of sprints what I do is import the resulting csv to python and generate some charts. I'll try to make a video on this soon because it is helping me a lot

    I think keep the stealth mechanic but it is really hard to find times to use it. (an idea popped into my head, as I'm typing this) maybe you could add trees and grass and/or bushes, trees you want to hide behind, when the enemies looks at you, but the player has to avoid grass(or bushes) to not make noise. So now, you can put a bush, after that, a tree; so when the enemy looks at you you can hide behind the tree. Now, you can control when there should be intense moments, or stealthy moments.

      Thanks! Yeah I've seen the stealth has been widely appraised so I'll probably keep it. Your idea is very helpful, I think finding a way to use the stealth to "regulate" the game's intensity is a big plus

    I personally enjoy the pixel art version more as it has more flavor to it. I also personally like the stealth mechanic a lot, so it would be cool to see it be used at least once in the game!

      Yeah I'm realizing that the stealth mechanic is a crowd favourite...somehow I'll add it to the game, I think it can really add a differentiating factor! Thanks for the feedback!

    Hey dude lovely video, the game looks absolutely amazing! I really like the art for it. Its eye candy. The new enemies look amazing! Good luck on the game I'm quite excited to see it be developed and play it myself if the opportunity arises ! Also I'm really curious on your pixel art process. Do you draw a thumbnail on paper or straight to pixel and do you reference?

      Thanks so much! As soon as I have a bit of levels set up my plan is to consider sharing demos around people who are interested and gather feedback to improve the game, so I'll let people know.
      As for the pixel art, I use a ton of reference. For the enemies for example I looked at a lot of pixel art architecture, that's why they're so geometric I guess. For pixel art I usually draw an outline and fit the details later, directly in aseprite, but if I'm working on 3D or vector art I always do thumbnails on paper.

    Idea for the freeze after the dash: In Dragonball Z, the characters will oftentimes be flying very fast, then come to an instantaneous halt, which will be punctuated with their energy auras dissipating in a sudden, snapping evanescence, coincided with a burst of sound.
    I think you could keep the sudden, jerking halt if you gave it the flourish of an energy burst, and I think that would _feel_ really good, too.

    Congrats on the progress! I love your pixel art and animation, and I think it was a solid choice to stick with it! The new palette and tile set are looking super good, and the new affects and HUD add a lot to the game! Great job on all the new additions!

    I happy you decided to stick to the pixel art, as I really like your style and talent. I keep saying it, but I really like the look of Quetzal as a character design. So unique and cute too. The new enemy concepts look amazing! But keep your old ones too for another game in future maybe?

    Perhaps try giving back stamina slowly in the air?

      After this video now stamina is recharged while he walks, and it's already much better, before it's true that you had to wait a long time to do anything...if I see it's not enough I'll see if I add this, thanks for the feedback! Truly helpful

    I really love the stealth and stab, maybe down the road you can reintroduce it without the stab but stealth and attack..? I LOVE animation you have done for it so far. Very creative!

      Thanks! Yeah I think I'll def try to introduce the stealth again, there are some passages in the game where it could really fit the gameplay and serve as a change of pace. Glad you liked it!

    The jitter can come from import the images without filter. Try with filter - it than blurry but there is a shader for correct that. If not it could be that the object not set on a exact pixel.

      I'll try it out! I was pretty sure it had something to do with the camera2D node, because as soon as I remove the smoothing option the jiteriness disappears :/

      Trust me I would love that...but it's mainly the fact that they are too much work to handle in this small-ish game I want to release. I couldn't really find a way to make them engaging or like an obstacle to the player. At best, they felt like ragdolls that the player could punch and perform his combo on, and at worst they had some weird glitches while chasing the player. In the end I think they don't really fit in the game right now. I'm not completely closed to the idea of adding them, but I would have to find a really good reason. Anyways, thanks so much for the comment, it makes me happy to see that people want to see both in the game

    Is the game inspired by Lord of the rings? The main character reminds me Frodo, and the stealth mode was making really sense when he uses the ring...

      Not really, the stealth is based on the rogue's stealth ability in wow. The "invisibility world" effect of Lord of the Rings would look really cool though

    Damn the stealth and stab looked really cool, but I suppose it would look kinda strange on a big stone sentinel :D game looks great so far though!

    Overall, really polished devlog, But even I liked the stealth Mechanics... Maybe it can be used to slow down the pacing of the game over a period of time , as keeping it always fast paced will make all the emotions felt during gameplay seem to be similar, blending the events together, instead of a clear distinction between important events. Just because you have been , and will continue to have fast paced thrilling experience throughout... But these are just my thoughts

      Thanks! This is very true...I hadn't yet considered about the flow of the game...surely there will be areas where the player can benefit from a more relaxed/slower pace. I'll keep it in mind when I start designing levels, so thank you very much!
