A lot of people might turn their nose up off the bat at inexpensive gear, but I look at it like this: I’m not raiding houses every night, so other than training, this gear is only being used in a SHTF scenario. I need it to work and be decent, but I don’t need Gucci. If I can buy 4 plate carrier rigs for what one Crye setup costs, I’ve got gear for my family, or spares at worst. So many veteran content creators are telling us we need what the Seals use, it’s refreshing to hear someone who’s been there and done the things be sensible about this stuff.
My thoughts exactly
Well said
I thought Silkies were Tactical Bathing Suits Hahahahahaha!!! Good test brother!
Thanks for the review Randall.
Right on. Thanks!
That's impressive 👏🏻
For the price and what it stood up to I'd wear one.
The only plate carrier that I can endorse is my Voodoo Tactical Police/ICE unit. I'm wearing it right now while at work. For over six years it has kept me safe, kept everything I put on it attached, and only needed minimal sewing to repair small abrasions. That is from brutally cold -40°C winters to hot summers that normally get to 30°C but have been hotter than 40°C some years.
haha that goat!!! 00:53
I had to sub after seeing you watering a bush and presumably drinking a Busch all while wearing a carrier king of the double wide trailer style. 👌
🍻😎
A TRUE trailer park king....
LAPG also makes really good pants and shorts
Freaking awesome ! That's a great price ,and if you says it's grunt proof then I'm not 2nd guessing it,it's perfect for running &gunning on the range I like simplicity!
I have used their low vis carrier for about 3 years now, I have 2 of them.
Proprietary lingo ("rig", "carrier", etc) with every company's gear is the highest hurdle to cross for purchase. I need someone to offer EVERYTHING in one place - the plates, the carrier clothing [sic]...without being confusing (intentionally), so I can buy the damn thing before it goes illegal in my state.
What are the top 3 plates of the type 3 & 4?
You should do a review on the GFIRE plate carrier, I heard some good stuff about it, but nothing first hand!
Going to check those out, don't care for laser cut molle but for the price I might be able to live with it. Thanks for the review.
me either, I can't see any laser cut lasting as long as stitched.
good for LAPG 👍
Tactical swim trunks.. udt's??? 😂😂
I knew it was a good video as soon a I saw the knife hand
Yeah, I've been looking for a budget PC! My oldest rig came from AR500Armor, a really good rig but not as inexpensive as this, but it came with extras. Thanks for doing these reviews!
🍻😎
TibosauruaceRex did a review on some soft armor a year or so back and what I found amazing was that how much better the plate/pad holds up when I’m a rugged ballistic nylon carrier. Absolutely night and day.
Interesting side note here you can use the armor pitches to stow a tarp/poncho a fire blanket I carried in mine. Along with other stuff. Think Swiss army kit/carrier only US Marine style.
Gfire makes a good budget carrier
Dumb question, I put some mag pouches on the front of my plate carrier, but when you try to pull the mags from it, it peels the velcro up. What would you recommend as a way to further secure that fold? A bit of paracord in a knot or something?
Attach em with the molle loops if ya got em
WHAAAATTTT??? I get doing videos on gear sent to you for test but most stuff from LAPG is made in China. I'd like to see more brands use South Korean, Philippines and Vietnam labor for manufacturing - is that a bad thing? The price points seem to be about the same. I've had hit and miss quality from them. Bags and premium backpacks (Atlas series) seem pretty well made but I've had LAPG brand boots and pants fall apart quickly on me. An $80 PC (cummerbund included?) seems decent as you put it through the paces. Laser cut PALS are supposed to cut down on weight - opinions vary. They're more difficult to lace MOLLE straps through also. My ice cold PBR is calling me now!😋
i just keep my plates in the cabinet at home, why carry them around? 😂 maybe they're some fancy china with a case that nice
At 0:24 why is the rear plate so low? Is that supposed to be a thing?
Yes, all the cool kids are doing it
do all carriers leave your neck and half of the chest naked like that?
Basically plates are only meant to cover vitals. So the widest part at the top of the plate basically the corners sit at nipple level (the very top with the inward turned angles sit between the collar bone and the nipples)and the very bottom of the plate sits roughly belly button. The rear plate you fenegle (easiest with a friend to help adjust for you) to be at the same height as the front plate and then theres side plates that ive never messed with personally so i cannot help with that part.
Hector and Achilles after their duel. 00:52
Tactical bathing suit 🤔🤔🤔 so it would have MOLLE webbing, M-LoK and some QD swivels for all the slings, attachments and accessories right?
FAFO 💥👊🏻 🖍 💪 ⚔️ 🇺🇸 ☦️
Go hrt h rac and add your own cummerbund ats makes some decent ones. a good vest will cost you 150-200 MINIMUM china can't help you!
