No it wouldn't. There needs to be coordination, completely working for free and remotely is not a good example of a team. Take skyblivion, where many Devs just up and leave and take their work with them, sacrificing time and quality.
The idea of having Sonic.exe as Metal Sonic's holographic body armor, or even having Sonic.exe acting as Metal Sonic's A.I. just feels right. It's hard to take him seriously anymore as creepypasta now. Having him serve as a boss character for the Metal Mind level fits the level aesthetic perfectly. Speaking of which, great work on Metal Mind. Loved everything about its creative design. Though, if you ask me, being as this is Metal's literal mind, it would be pretty cool to have Metal's presence be felt throughout the whole level, as if he is watching you, waiting for the right moment to strike. But that's just me. Other than that, this is incredible work. Keep it up!!
Sonic Adventure 2 introduced this subtle wind-lines to give a speed effect, looked great because it was as I said, subtle. Since then, every goddamn fan-game made them look like sh*t by exaggerating them and making them blue.
Meh I liked unleashed and generations better cause it looked like while he’s still going fast he could still go faster this one looks like he’s going his fastest which isn’t as fast as I thought

That speed looks like it feels GOOD lol When u go full speed it reminds me of those moments in the classic games when u hit your stride when going down a ramp or running and the camera can barely keep up.
Finally a bumper engine fangame that is well developed and polished! kudos to the creator! (Ik there are still good games made with the bumper framework btw just talking vast majority I see)

@Gnidel i know this is mainly showcasing ideas, but here's my thoughts only about Sonic campaign, gameplay wise looks promising, a few animations to add and it's golden, a thing i'd like to see though is rail grinding having some sort of mechanic where if you tilt to the side you go faster in a way, like in Sonic Heroes you could tilt to go faster, i can't say anything about the design stages except it could maybe have more paths here and there but i'll get to it later, graphics look good, i can't wait to see how everything will look at the end, so now i'll give my opinion on each stage: - Special Stages: they look fun and fast, with is the core they need, what's lacking at the moment is spectacle or perhaps nostalgia, the layout definitely reminded me of Sonic 3 special stages but on steroids, over all it's going in the right track and has a lot of potential, although it maybe could have a different version of the radar or an improved one, like a way to take you to the area where certain checkpoint and emerald may be, it's only an idea, but it could even make the special stage much bigger to be challenging - Portal Prison: honestly it's a great concept, it looks like there are multiple paths so that's good, it's well designed for the mechanics so that's a super plus, it looks from what stage of development it is now has if it's an ancient prison with multiple parts of iconic stages, im not sure though. with the boss fight i must say i have mixed feelings, it feels a bit lacking of more stages in the fight and could also use a bit more random in the model of the platform has well has when it starts, it gives questions to "where did that platform came from? we were in a small tunnel so why is it so big?" etc, i feel like it should complement more that aspect so we have more immersion in the game, same thing with the pit and the stage only ending after you get out of the pit would feel better and more satisfying - Metal Mind: it's a great concept with a fitting name, it does feel like we're in the mind of a machine, but i must say the level design is not has great has the Portal Prison, Portal Prison made you feel like you are in a prison with it's level design, even without the cells, Metal Mind makes you feel like you're in an industrial area rather than a robots mind with it's level design, i'd probably prefer if this level was mainly focused on grinding sense it would mainly feel like you're traveling through wires, a great example is Sonic Heroes where you have the mission at the canyons where you grind for 80/90% of the level, something inspired in that but keeping the same style would fit this stage better. Then we reach the boss, Metal Sonic is just has the last boss, really lacking more stages, everything i said about Eggman's boss battle is the same in this one except for the platform and the way we reach it, it does feel more natural and immersive, so that's a plus, i also like the fact he takes the form of Sonic.Exe, i'd like to see that be implemented more into the boss giving him a bit more of an horror vibe that increases through out the stages of the fight, at the end there could be a run with a timer to get out of Metal's mind before you get stuck inside it, that would again give satisfaction to the player Hud is obvious, needs work and the Sonic animations at the end like Unleashed or Generations

Honestly the simple things I want Sonic Team to consider is: 1. Replace Sonic with a new character for the protagonist, someone who hasn't got an appearance or equal spotlight such as Blaze or even Rouge, just anyone than Sonic. 2. Create new mechanics for characters or bring back old ones that were abandoned such as Boost Mode, Chaos Rift, anything like that and likely expand on them. 3. Just improve the writing, just replicate what made the older games more enjoyable, don't do what ruined it for old fans. 4. Just make the game feel like an old game and even the bad games like Sonic 06' still had enjoyable stories, not exactly Sonic's but Silver and Shadow's so take the risk, don't play safe and do what critiques and more negative fans say because there will be many like me up for it.

If the developers are watching this video AND reading the comments, (huge gamble) here’s something I think should be changed. 2:18 at this timestamp, Sonic is going blitzing, but once he hits the monitor, he loses any and all momentum. I believe that his momentum should be carried once he hits it, just like the balloons in Sonic Generation’s Rooftop Run.

People and even SEGA, forget that sonic can get to EVEN MORE CRAZY SPEEDS with slopes and momentum, take forces as an example, Modern and Classic sonic don’t get any speed from slopes. Sure, classic sonic can reach his max speed limit by rolling down slopes (we dont talk about classics running speed cap) because classic can only get his max speed by rolling and not running (apparently) and, even look at modern sonic, the games themselves back up my point, in forces and Generations, modern doesn’t get any speed from slopes (probably cuz the developers of the games don’t let modern sonic roll anymore for some stupid reason now its just “boost to win” I really hope in the next sonic game, if its a modern game, that they actually let modern ROLL, and maybe even make it slightly momentum based like this, you should still be able to get boost, but you shouldn’t start each stage with a FULL boost gauge. You should have to get rings and destroy enemies, and even then, filling up the gauge should be pretty hard( a good thing in my opinion would be that you have to get the gauge full to boost at all, and then you can use it until it gets empty. And then you have to fill it ALL THE WAY UP for you too boost again like I said, it should be hard to fill it up.) and let modern sonic gain speed with momentum and slopes and the roll, just add more slopes and less automated loops than the normal games, and that would give a super good experience... its kinda boring that there’s no new sonic games in 2020... but hopefully in 2021 we get something BIG
How about Modern Sonic with a momentum based gameplay with no boost Instead leave the boost to an unlockable Super Sonic So you just have to press a button to go full speed It would really felt like a reward for collecting the emeralds (In my opinion)

@@Gnidel so basically, this game gives a perfect concept for a sonic game:
1. Adventure-like gameplay
2. Lost world-like physics
3. Modern sonic
4. Sonic running as fast as he's supposed to
5. Momentum-based gameplay e.t.c.
Basically as mild mixture of everything great in sonic games plus new ideas that can make sonic games much much better! I hope this game has some crazy good level design cause if such a perfect idea is not executed properly, I'm gonna kill myself.
