- Mother's Day 2020: Mallory and Macy Morphew are on their way home from a camping trip.
They text their mother, wishing Suzanne Morphew a "Happy Mother's Day." When they don't get a reply, Mallory calls Morphew's neighbors, Martin and Jeanne Ritter, explaining she hasn't been able to reach her mother. Jeanne Ritter goes next door to look for Suzanne Morphew.
Martin Ritter calls Barry Morphew to tell him they can't find Suzanne. Barry Morphew tells Ritter to call 911. After three long years, Morphew's remains are found in Saguache County, in September 2023.
Suzanne Morphew's death has now been ruled a homicide by undetermined means. The toxicology report shows several drugs found in her system at the time of her death: Butorphanol, a synthetic opioid pain-killer, Azaperone, a sedative commonly used as a tranquilizer for pigs and elephants, and medetomidine, a sedative that can decrease an animal's heart rate, commonly used by veterinarians.

Justice for Suzanne! BM is very very sus. No way he wasn’t involved if her body was full of animal tranquilizers. I grew up in a very very rural mountainous region where everyone goes hunting all the time. I don’t know of Anyone who uses tranquilizers for hunting. He did it. No doubt in my mind . He knew that because of the land being so rural that it would be nearly impossible for her body to found. He really Thought he would get away with it. I truly feel so bad for her family. Why are the daughters still standing with their dad? I understand they love him but this MOTHER was missing on Mother’s Day. Such a tragedy

You can tell that even if they now believe their dad murdered their mom, they will stand by him rather than be wrong. I also suspect they think she deserved it for cheating. Because heavily religious people believe adultery is worse than murder. These girls were turned against their mom long before her murder and Suzanne even stated that in texts to her friends.

Thank you, Nancy. I’ve been following this case since she "disappeared." When I heard that the autopsy had been released, I had been waiting for you to expound upon it. Barry Morphew sickens me. I can’t even stand to hear his voice!
No surprise the evidence points to Barry. He turned off his location on his phone and truck to dispose of her body. Video footage showed him disposing of garbage 5 different locations. He was covering up a crime. Threatening his employees if they spoke to police.
So grateful she was located. Now we need the DA to not botch the indictment this time. 😅

Yeah because there dumb ASF. Forensic files is a beautiful thing these days, from dental records, to DNA being extracted from years ago. The awesome thing though was the port. When my mom had a port put in her there is a number on it, the patient also gets the card with the number on it identify to your name and you only.

His defense attorney is making a huge issue of mystery DNA. Her car had been serviced recently. That DNA could be from anyone working on her car? I really am not buying the defense. The tranquilizer pellet is huge
He said he used his .22 with the scope on it for chipmunks, as pictured in the arrest affidavit. He wanted chipmunks dead and no one ever claimed he tranqed them. The tranq darts he said he used for deer, and quite possibly his wife since the same chemical he used for his tranq darts were detected in her bone tissue.

That mystery DNA could have been from the relative, a mechanic or car detailer etc. From what I’ve read, that DNA match was not directly from this perp, but I believe it’s from a relative of this perp. His attorneys are trying to make more of this DNA found in her car than what it is, in my opinion.

If a mountain lion had attacked her it wouldn’t have taken her so far away and bury her in a shallow grave. There would be evidence of her all around the bike area. I think the bike was an afterthought to set up some crazy story. Who else would have tranquilized her? I just don’t see how he wasn’t kept in custody with all of the obvious evidence.

I hope they analyze the dirt from the shove to show it matches the dirt around the grave and not the dirt around their home. These incredible scientists can test the DNA of the dirt too.

He said he used animal tranquilizers to get deer antlers. He did not say that he uses THIS drug combination. Someone needs to tie him to the purchase/possession of these particular drugs.

I have a neighbor that shot and killed his wife he is in jail and he tried to commit suicide before the cops and anyone found him he will try to get off by claiming to be suicidal and I would say that his kids will take up for him he was arrested about 8 months prior to this for shooting at a couple of my old neighbors and me and they evaluated him kept him for 2 days and let him out this is how the law works I'm in Somerset KY. His name is James Brock and wife was Delores Brock .

He appears to have tranqed Suzanne, that said, he never said he tranqed the chipmunks, he shot them with a junk sawed off .22 that had a big scope on it. He wanted them dead and I'm not sure how so many people twisted this part of the details. His chipmunk gun is pictured in the arrest affidavit which is easy to google up and an interesting read.
Nancy, I live deep in the woods with actual mountain lions. I've seen them! They rarely leave tracks and don't attack grown adults. Kids or sheep or chickens sure, but not women on bikes.
That is simply not true, there have been plenty of grown adults on bicycles that have been attacked....😐🙄
@@astrialindah2773 I know of one and the mountain lion was literally starving when authorities caught it. I think it was I'll as well. I've literally stared down a male cougar from 30 ft away, they want nothing to do with humans. Go look up how many are killed by big cat in the USA per year....Ill wait. Spoiler, it's a tiny list spanning back to 1886. Majority are small children.

@@SebastianKrabs I don't have to look that up because I've seen quite a few videos of people that were attacked by cougars, several of them while they were bike riding.. one guy was attacked and ended up killing the cougar by putting his elbow on its throat and suffocating it that way while it was attacking him....
Another woman was attacked while biking with her girlfriend... If I remember right she survived...

Bear-Bear is such a whiner. Unbelievable the probable cause that has been present throughout this case. Every one of BM’s statements and info injections have been suspect and the attempts to cry and show remorse make me sick at my stomach. These daughters must be so foo-foo that they are oblivious to all going on around them. If this was my Mom, I would be a raging maniac with questions and exposing of the truth. We do know one of the daughters knew what was going on in the marriage due to her telling Suzanne to get a divorce. BM tried to set up scenarios to explain it all to be Suzanne’s actions/fault. I still believe he put her body in one location, then moved it to where she was found.
And that’s where he wanted her to live. In the middle of nowhere. Away from all loved ones.

I was wondering about the padded bra found with Suzanne's-remains. If fancy w/lace, that might be one Barry dressed her in. My thought is if she was going bike riding, she would've worn a sports bra.
Historically, there has been about two cases of mountain lions taking down mountain bikers that I know of. However, the cougar’s behavior is to dragging the victim to a nearby tree; never off pavement, and plenty of evidence of the attack. Lion, abducted, car accident, ran off with a lover, etc. he’s incriminating himself with every word. Arrest this perp immediately; a Jury will convict!
Every one is talking about the husband but no body will ask about the daughters? Why aren’t they talking? Why are they so calm?

Please look in to the Dakota Stevens case in Valparaiso Indiana. Dakota was ten years old when he was sat on outside until his death by his foster mom. Hours before hand he had ran to a neighbor begging for help and the police told her that she couldn’t let him stay with her or she’d be charged with kidnapping. Dakota is dead and the foster mom is free and walking. No arrest!
