You changed your name no more Kramden??? Yes just discoloration as long as the pitting is minor & not bigger then the length & width of the rollers you will get a few years out of these questionable cranks,LOLLL! The only reason this crank wasnt totally trashed is it was somewhat protected from the environment and rain, snow melt was the culprit instead of saltwater. Note I did this for demonstration purposes only. Just another how looks can be deceiving with rust and corrosion heads up .The needles dont know theres pits there if they cant feel them thats my feelings,HA! Stay Tuned!
Oh Okay by the way I have a 8 gallon tub full of small rusty crankshafts about 40 of them was going to scrap them but I was thinking of muriatic acid I have some. Did you every use it on steel or cast iron or forged steel? Im a little clumsy so I hesitate to use that stuff,HA! but it seems to work real good...@@fleetwin1
Need old parts and or complete motors let me know mostly Johnson & Evinrude up to 35HP
Looking good now. Nice job 👍🏻
Hey Chris did this for demonstration purposes technically you can use this crankshaft if you had no others and be fine......Enjoy your Labor Day!
@@OutBoardTink62 Thanks! You as well 👍🏻
