We gotta be patient with this team. First year HC and OC. Yesterday did suck but guaranteed ups and downs. I believe the longer we have Mike, he will get the personnel he wants to help us compete.
100% He inherited a team, he has to work with what he has. But as the years go by, he'll be able to really establish and acquire personnel that'll thrive in his system. We've done well so far considering, we just gotta be patient like you said.

Carroll had certain archytpes on defense. Mac probably does too for players on dline, cb, lb types. Id bet he isn’t necessarily fond of dre jones, reed, woolen. Etc. needs time to get his players

We're going to get creamed. Our defense can't stop the run and SF is a great running team.
Plus it doesn't sound like Boye mafe, Derrick hall, Byron Murphy, Nwosu wont be healthy for this game either. Our defensive line has been injured most of the year and it's killing us. That was supposed to be our strong point.

Lets also not forget we have a lot of 1st year coaching. Both as the head coach and offensive coordinator. kyle shanahan and Dan campbell didnt succeed until their 3rd year.

@@person3070you need to run what your best at. Not necessarily both. Grubb aired it out WA. He wants to theow it with geno, and be efficient with the run game keep teams honest . Not necessarily pounding the rock.
@@dontme5670it's a double edged sword because pass protection is a lot harder on the O-line then running down hill like run blocking. So with a below average line you should want to run the ball more.

We gotta make sure we include Tight Coverages from wide open passes, Stop Running attacks, and to have the secondary tackle tight and bring them down. Without it, We're not gonna have a good season in order to rebound back, So we gotta play fundamentally.

Mike is taking the heat, but John Schneider has employed the worse offensive lines in football. Also least spent on O line. We have Kenneth Walker and are afraid to use him. Not k9s fault, but we are as likely to lose 2 yards on a first down run as we are to make 2 yards. I would be afraid to call a run down by a score or more. Defense lost the Giants game.

Grubb’s pass-heavy play calling made geno hrow the ball 40 times while K9 only rushing 5 times, even though they averaged 9.3 yards per carry. That led to just 3 third-down conversions out of 11, keeping MacDonald’s defense on the field for 37 minutes.
It was an all around poor game plan.

Not sure what to think after losing to the Giants, a team they should have beaten EASILY except we have rookie coaches and it shows. The DEF seemed to be really tight from Game 1, then.... blown out twice in a row? The first one was due to over half the starting D being out, but the Giants?
This comes down to the coaching, IMO. So... the season is going to be a lot tougher than it seemed a couple weeks ago. If they can't beat SF, they don't make the playoffs. AZ likely wins the division. They're already 2-0 in the division.
IF the Seahawks can beat SF, and can sweep the division, or at least 5-1, they should take the division with a low, 10-7 or 9-8, record.

What else can he say? Duh. He said they did not play well in all three phases. He said we need to run the ball more. He says if there's problems in their process, they'll continue to change it and adapt. They need to keep chasing the problems and making them right.

Other teams also have full games of the new team on tape now, so they're attacking what had worked in the first three games. Time to adapt or die.

Like I said from the start I had no high hopes for this team this year They're learning a new system on offense and defense .Also the offensive line is terrible and will take awhile to rebuild. Ryan Grubb's offense needs a good line to be successfull. That was one of the Washington husky's strengths Was there offensive line.

You can hang it up for the rest of the year.This team is going to see pass rushes from hell. Teams have found the weaknesses to the offense and the defense. I believe there is holes in the defense because the players have yet to grasp mike mcdonald's system. So that I believe can be fixed but it will take time. As far as the offense put pressure on the line and they will crumble. They're going to have to install a quick passing game when things get rough.
I have faith in Mac and Grubb to help turn this team around for the better, but yesterday was just unacceptable. It's more than okay to lose, especially given this team's situation. Losing, the way in which we did, THAT is not okay. I understand Mac has a complex defense that is still ongoing in its implementation, on top of likely having roster pieces he didn't choose/want, as well as injuries to the D Line. However, the refusal to adjust scheme is just WAY too reminiscent of the Carroll era. Mac TRIED the soft zones, preventing big plays, and Daniel Jones shredded us on the very first drive, only losing out to a freak fumble. After that drive alone, Mac should've made the adjustment. Jones wasn't gonna overextend himself, so playing him as though he would, was just nonsensical. On top of that, Grubb ONCE AGAIN, refuses to actually establish the run game. We know how great K9 is, but so far, most his success hasn't even come off Grubb's play calling, its been from his own ability to extend plays. Even then, we still have one of if not THE worst pass protecting O Line in the league, and yet Grubb insists on having Geno get demolished all game, hopefully playing perfect enough football to will us to win. Once again, its the lack of ADJUSTMENTS that's infuriating, not the losing. Schneider moved off of Carroll and hired Mac and Grubb SPECIFICALLY to avoid these kinds of games. Games where our opponents, no matter how bad, get any and everything they could possibly want with little to no pushback, and the entire coaching staff does nothing in game to stop the bleeding or make the adjustment. The game against Detroit was embarrassing defensively, but there were enough injuries on the D Line to give that one a pass. THIS game however, that's not a viable excuse. I don't want these two fired, not by a long shot, but Schneider needs to talk with them about these 2 games and just express that adjustments need to be more prevalent.
