I had the Cloud 3 Wireless for 3 days. Dont understand how some people can say this headset had no bass 😂😂😂 it has enough bass! This was a good allrounder for music, movies and story games. In competitive i was able to hear the steps and the correct direction, but the highs are way too loud, shoots and grenades in cs2 was so loud, they overpowered the steps. The Mic was excellent. Battery was excellent. Comfort was excellent. But the reason why i send it back was the Power Button, i dont like this kind of shit where you must press and hold for seconds to Power on, sometimes it didnt Power on with 1, 2 or 3 seconds Button hold, had to try it several times. And the 2nd reason was the weak Clamp force, everytime when i was moving my head for some centimeters it slides down of my Head. It was annoying... But all the other things it was a really good Headset!
@@Im_WakzyeI’ve had one for I believe 3 years now, 0 signs of wear and tear and overall build of headset really stood the test of time. The sound quality is also pretty good and overall good headset for price
I’ve tested both wired and wireless. The cloud 3 is probably their worst iteration of the cloud headsets. Absolutely no bass at all. I highly recommend the Cloud 2 wired and Cloud Alpha wired. I use both. The Cloud 2 for competitive, and the Cloud Alpha for single player story games.
there's so much different opinions on hyperx line of headset it ain't even funny, ive seen reviewers say the alpha's are the worst sounding in the entire lot and some people say its the best
I wish I had seen this before buying them, I'm actually returning them because even after using aftermarket EQs to try make them sound as good as possible, there is still a lack of bass and the soundstage is really poor when playing any FPS games, its nearly impossible to tell where footsteps are unless they are directly left or right of you
I never owned cloud 2 but recently started using cloud 3 wired and it is SO comfortable. I own Bose QC45 and cloud 3 feels just like QC45... In terms of the sound quality, I mainly use the headphone for a fps game and have no problem with the gameplay (can hear footsteps, gun shots don't sound disturbingly sharp etc)
Right?!! I haven’t had any problems with mine so far but I just got one. In all my years of gaming and using headsets. The 3 is by far the most comfortable I’ve ever used. I’m also on ps5 atm and I just plug into the controller itself instead of using the sound card extension and I play mostly all game but a lot of Warzone, Fortnite, etc, and I don’t have any problems with the sound so idk what people are talking about 😅🤷🏾♂️
@@Augvsty yes even on console. If you need more proof I put gameplay videos up with me or some with friends just for fun and you can see me track people and that’s all by sound. I’m on a vanilla console with a vanilla controller 😅 so I for sure don’t have all those special cheats like artiswar on pc. Although I will say the headset works twice as good on pc than it does on console but I don’t have any problems with them on console.
I just upgraded to the cloud 3 from the cloud 2 and my biggest issue is the in game audio is significantly quieter making it way harder to hear footsteps.
@@noah5183 You can still do that on pc all you do is plug the controller into the usb port on the pc and then plug the 3.5mm headset cable into the controller jack and it works.
Problem with the cable can be solved with an extension. I saved extension cable from cloud stinger. That cable is in my motherboard and it sits on my desk so I plug any headphones that I want.
I am currently looking for a good headset with 7.1 external sound card, and wanted to get Cloud III but I encoutered a huge amount of negative opinions comparing to the Cloud II and I think I will get Cloud II instead.
Which one is more ''boom-y'' out of these? Both currently cost around €89/€90 in my local electronics store. I was originally planning on getting the Corsair HS35 Surround V2, but... maybe they're worse 🤔🤷♀
I've had a wired Cloud II for about 3/4 years. I'm wanting to go wireless: would I go with cloud III, cloud II or cloud II core? I saw a lot of people saying that this even the core is better than this cloud III. FPS game… remembering that the cloud iii has dropped in price and is almost the same
your mobo has ALC4080 with an embedded USB2.0 controller that it talks to rest of motherboard/cpu with. it's far from being some superior sound card. hyperx cloud 3--which i plan to buy soon--can be used via the other cable instead of usb, but of course you'll lose additional functionality on pc.

I was wondering that aswell. Will it worsen or can I do it, the cloud 2 dongle is much longer and fits my setup better so if it doesnt give me a disadvantage in sound i would do it.
So using it without the usb card is better? I have a split cable extension which i use could connect it directly to my motherboard with. Is this the play???
@@Lcv1x according to kingston 3 does not support 7.1 sound. only 3d sound supported, hence the software lock. and its defiantly not the same as 2. the sensitivity is 50% lower on 3 so it might not be as good.

Yes, 3.5mm audio extension cable directly into the PC (Mic/Spkr splitter if required - if your mic and speaker ports are separate, if you have a single port that accepts mic and speaker, this splitter is not required).
