Not us. That is until we spotted this gem of a rare Jeep DJ5 postal truck, packing a Dodge V8 under the hood and a hodgepodge of Jeep Cherokee suspension bits underneath. All that paired with the willingness to send his tires to the moon on any occasion, including Burnyard Bash, earns him a spot in the Daily Transmission history books.

Someone in my shop started one of the carbureted bikes while I had my headphones in and I thought I lost my mind and was somehow smelling the mail truck through my phone
My mom used to deliver papers so my dad bought her one of these! It had an AMC 336 and would chirp the tires through 3rd gear.
Finally a motor swap that doesn't involve a LS, thank you. Now do a little suspension and drive train work and your golden.

I had a DJ5, I wanted to drop a v8 in there, never got around to it and sold the project to someone who would bring it back. It needs Wheelie Bars! That cab gets hot like a oven.

That thing Just sent a flock of Bald Eagles flying a nice sounding V8 and The music choice in this video Was great Keep doing it.
I rescued one of these from a junkyard, someone put it on an army Jeep chassis and used a 258 in it. I had to rewire the entire thing and make a "fuel cell". I drove it to the corner store once before selling it. Steering was more of a suggestion than a command. Little thing probably would have been fun if I kept it. Hint: those solid tops are heavy as hell. He cuts it off and pulls those doors in favor of a bikini top and rollbar and she will handle alot better. I think 35 degrees to either side and those would roll over

The reminds of a Chevrolet Nomad. They ran 2,3L four cylinder engines from a Chevrolet Firenza,but V6 and\or V8 swops were popular.Predominantly found in Africa, can't remember which other countries had them. I think this mail truck can make a fun daily driver.
