- It’s no secret that’s pretty much all of us are rotary fans here at Hoonigan. What’s not to love about those magical dorito-having, fire spewing, 9k rpm revving thangs? @@krisbailey8537 are rotaries really that bad? Can a properly built 1 last especially a na build (20 or 26b, itb, etc)? Dont know much about them other than they lack rods and pistons 🤣...But man do they sound good!
@@chriscooper8210 yeah they sound good but they just aren't as developed as a normal engine. I'm sure they can last a while but they just wont be as reliable
@@krisbailey8537 Thks for the info. I've always had a soft spot for authentic Japanese sports cars like the rx7, z platform, evos...Maybe a evo 9 will be in my future. Not a huge fan of the X....Got a stock 2011 5.0 to hold me over for now...

I’m an old man now, sort of, I’m 51. But I find it fascinating how the last generation finally found forced induction on a mass produced level, and that deeply regarding the timing has become a meme. That works great for launching from dead start and to keep manifold pressure high in a turn, but in a fucking parking lot, parked??!?

We use to do this back in 1986 n 87 with our screaming RX2,3,4s . A few 7s too. 12A n13Bs. I remember blowing off the raddy fan at 8 on the tach. Minor damage but my 2was a screaming loud. Mazda Speed

I will have to say that David Mazzei's FD RX-7 is one of the best 'finished' FD's I have ever seen. He built that car for a purpose and I think that since he achieved that purpose (to sound like older Formula 1 cars) it's considered one of the best FD's I have seen built. Once Rob gets his finished that might take first.
