Just pointing out something. The serving from the left has do with being easier for the guest and not for who is serving. The reason is that most people is right-handed including the guests. And if you are being served and trays are being used (try to do this yourself. put yourself in the guest position and help yourself from the tray) it's more easier for the guest to turn left and he has the right arm and hand more free so he can help himself. If you serve from the right, right-handed guests would seem like a T-Rex with his right arm all retracted so he could help himself ;) Let's just say we are very inconsiderate for left-handed people :(
