  • How To #3DPrint and Assemble The Phoenix Unlimbited Prosthetic Device
Today we have the Full Tutorial from Start To Finish for the @TeamUnLimbited Phoenix Unlimbited Prosthetic Device. We walk you through every aspect of the printing and assembly process from where to find the files, correct sizing using the @Thingiverse Customizer, slicing the files using @Simplify3D, printing all the parts on the @gCreate gMax 1.5XT+ using @AMZ3D Filament and the full assembly, including using the heated bed of a #3DPrinter to thermoform the gauntlet and installing all the needed foam and velcro to finish the device.
We have a lot of stuff to cover to print and assemble this awesome device, and this video can be used as a guide during your assembly.

You don't have to click the create thing for each part. The part parameter is only there to allow you to PREVIEW the parts. You only have to click "create thing" once and ALL the parts are generated. You can then download them ALL as a zip file!

    Hi!
Your tutorial is great I’m actually following it right now as I’m also trying to print the hand.
Wanted to ask , did you print with an adhesion layer / perimeter?

Thanks for watching! No I print directly to the print bed and in my case, a sanded acrylic sheet. I will print a skirt to prime the extruder though.

I am printing the Phoenix Hand at the moment and would like to know where to send the hand when finish? Also are you using mono fishing line or Braid line?

Another question :) Printing the Phoenix hand the Palm takes 17 hrs to print. Is that the normal time? TIA
