That's well worth $30 bucks for any beginner, they're a great introduction has you say without breaking the bank and those training locks are worth every cent because I still use mine (which cost me more) to this day when I have a long break from the sport, they're great for getting you back into the feel of things.. Great review my friend ;-)
Thanks for the video Al! If you need to see the concept of what's going on, sure the acrylic locks are ok. If you want to get into it and get a feel for the pins, at least for me, the metal on acrylic feels completely different than metal on metal. Screwing with the acrylics I think set me back learning once I moved to actual locks. Just my two cents, keep up the great work brother. 👊
As you stated, its a cheap enough entry for practice locks, and some picks to try and see if its something you'll be interested in. Folks will probably shed those picks rather quickly if they get sucked into lock picking like we did! 🤣 good stuff Big Al, take care buddy 👍 👍
For some reason, the video keeps freezing. I think youtube is trying to stop ppl from seeing the video. I can skip to any other video and it plays just fine. I know it's not my connection, since I have 780mbps at the moment on speed test. Fukn youtube censorship 🤬
Pretty cool little set for those looking to get into lock picking. I like clear plastic locks for demonstrating how to pick locks. I’m not a fan of using them to practice on. A Masterlock #3 is one of the best practice locks on the market. I think it’s better to practice on actual locks rather than learning on the acrylic ones. I don’t think the acrylic ones offer the true feedback of an actual lock. Plus the acrylic locks will wear quickly. Just my opinion. I do have a full set of acrylic locks coming in the mail though. I usually give the acrylic locks away with a pick set and a new Masterlock #3 to people who are actually interested in lock picking.
I think that one you said looked like a saw blade is intended to be used for zipping. I’ve used one with pretty good success zipping 4-pin Master locks. Does it consistently work any better than anything else for zipping? Nah. Probably not.
A good way to see if you want to pick locks!!
Great video!

My first set was from Wally world. It was awful but I learned a lot. Especially not to buy cheap pick again 😀
Reminds me of my Goso kit I bought a few years ago when I was just starting out. Great video. 👍🙂
Yes, I have a few GOSO picks I won from a giveaway. Very similar indeed. Probably same gauge
Looks like a good entry point for beginning pickers. Thank you for showing it. Take care my friend. Go U.S.
My pleasure
I just gave Amazon $40 before I saw this video I get my set tomorrow

Thanks Roy, I agree completely. Same with cutaways, their just not good for leaning. The feel is way different.

Ya just see if this is something you want to keep doing and get some better tools

Thanks for checking it out. Yes, ML are good for training but so are American locks. I say whatever floats your boat and keeps you interested

That's how I got started bud. You almost have too unless you're a locksmith
Yes and VERY affordable
The hook at 03:30 I call the lishi hook.
Yes it’s the Lishi hook!😀
You can pretend you are a Lishi with this one!

I had no idea as probably obvious
If you look at it as buying the practice locks, and getting the picks for free, the picks gotta be worth what you pay for them. 😁
Ya the locks by themselves are just as much
How long does it take yo ship
I believe I received it the week after shipping here to Oklahoma. It wasn't bad
