Single pin picking when you can see the pins on a one of those plastic locks is VERY different to doing it even to a cheap padlock. They are good to see what is happening but that is it but things get easier with a bit of practice, it has taken me a while to get where I am.......Have a look at the lockpicking lawyer, he is a "fairly" proficient picker!!!
I got the exact same kit except it ships the locks in plastic bags not cases now but it includes the James Bond credit card miniature set. Also the handles on mine are black not blue. I have arthritis so I use the kit to practice on my dexterity. Even with limited dexterity I can open the locks in a second. I found the snowman works best on two of the locks while using the long rake as a rocker opens the 3rd lock very quickly. Some the other tools you will need on more difficult locks when the keys look look like deep valleys and tall mountains.
@@Alexiooo On my first day after practicing for 10 minute I was down to 1 second for 2 of the lock and 5 seconds for the one with the bar coming out of the back. The "KEY" is holding the tension bar with proper pressure. This is my very first lockpicking kit.
My wife got me a very similar kit almost identical to yours with the clear padlock putting the tensioning tool in the keyway and trying to tension it basically does not work in that padlock it prize it open even more
I'm handicapped and opened my first lock by single pin picking. A good tip is getting a transparent lock or any lock. Using just the pick, feel where each pin is and learn how far to put the pick in. One you grasp that, use it with a tension tool, you'll feel the pin click when it sets above the sheer line. The transparent locks are cheap and not really good to learn on. Feel free to ask me if you want.
The city rake you used at 10:40 needs an up and down seesaw motion instead of back and forth.
I hope you become interested in lock picking and maybe start making videos of you picking locks. I would definitely watch them if you do.
i realize I'm kind of randomly asking but does anyone know a good place to stream newly released movies online ?

I bought one too, and I have been stuck for two hours! This video gave me the motivation to move on :]
It’s quite rewarding once you master it!

Wait, why are you trying to single pin pick with a rake?
Because I was learning! I had no idea what I was doing as it was my first time!
I’ve been lock picking with the same kit for days now and still can not open a single one. I watched tons of videos and don’t know how to open it.
