Recién me entero que eres chileno. Tu canal está muy bueno. Es una forma rápida y sencilla de aprender líneas de bajo de todo tipo. Probablemente sólo aceptes sugerencias de tus Patreons pero si fuera posible me gustaría ver algún cover de bajo de Fito Páez. Las líneas de bajo de su antiguo bajista (Guillermo Vadalá) eran muy buenas. Quizás alguna canción como Salir al sol, Naturaleza sangre o Es sólo una cuestión de actitud. Hola! He visto que usas distintas afinaciones dependiendo de la canción. Mi duda es, tienes que calibrar el bajo según la afinación que usas o se puede simplemente bajar el tono de la cuerdas (como en este video) según sea necesario para la canción que se quiera tocar?
Pregunto porque toco el bajo y me gusta afinar medio tono abajo, pero un amigo me dijo que los bajos son más "delicados" que las guitarras y que se deben calibrar según la afinación elegida.
Ojalá me puedas responder la duda.

Diria que las guitarras son mas delicadas que un bajo la verdad. Dependiendo de la afinacion y lo grueso de las cuerdas no veo que sea necesario calibrar en cada momento si las cambias bien, generalmente una por una para no alterar la tension del cuello. Cambio afinaciones muy seguido y de lo unico que me arreptiento es de no cambiar el grosor para una mejor ejecucion

I like playing with a pick but what do you do if the screws from the saddles are poking the back of your hand.

My Fender bass has saddles similar to yours.
I have one screw sticking out of the E string saddle that pokes my hand when pick playing , how can I get rid of this , can I turn it around , it has a sharp edge sticking out .
Take it to a luthier have the screw shortened or do it yourself...

Do you ever find it hard to hear the bass in some songs? I only ask because I want to learn by ear, but even with a good pair of headphones I can never hear the notes very good, and often think it is the guitar when it is actually the bass if it is down tuned.
Just practice will get you there, start with song that have a good level of bass in the mix, or even bass tracks

I know that the song is in 6/8, but why does it just feel like it's in 4/4? What is going on here?
(This is just one of some the reasons why i just can't keep good time. I just sense time signatures weirdly or start converting in my head somehow, opposed to just seeing the count and start playing, and don't think about it.) - :(
They're just really common times so you get used to them. Or maybe it could be that time signatures like 6/8 and 12/8 are just 4/4, but in triplets, so it's a bit more flowy and sounds similar to 4/4.
Yes, sometimes it depends on the choice of the writer too. It would have been harder for me to read and write triplets all the time, so 6/8 seems good to me
