That sometimes works but depending on how bright the room is, sometimes the whole pack gets exposed. I'd rather take the time to do it properly so as not to waste film :) .

ooh, i'd have thought you shouldn't need total darkness if it's already inside the DIY light proof thing
You can tansfer the pack in room light and only wate one frame.this frame acts as a black slide for the rest of the film. You donthave to worry.
