The first snap (black plastic piece) got stuck on mine. I was panicked. Tried getting the whole film pack out and it wouldn’t budge. Then I switched batteries to different ones (not the kind he suggested tho) and when I turned it on it immediately fixed itself! My whole film pack is still good! So thankful!!
This helped, thank you so much! The first film (the one that actually doesn't display a photo) got stuck halfway through the film slot. After removing the stuck film I got the error but the Duracel batteries totally fixed it. Too bad I missed some great photo ops though :(
Hi, did you open the back part to pull out the stuck film, or did you just pull it out from the top part? Because I had the same problem as yours, when you pulled it out, did your camera still function like it used to?
Mine has brand new batteries and the protective film thing that comes out first is jammed, but it's not sticking out of the top of the camera so I can't pull it out, and it has jammed the film pack in so I can't pull that out either. And now my camera won't turn on lol
@@Brenda-up6qt so since i ripped out the film, only the first film wasnt quite right. I mean it came out fine its just that its quality wasnt the best. But other than that all the other films came out fine. Just make sure the batteries are of good quality and are LR6 alkaline. Hope this helps ♥️
Hi in my case it wasn't the film stuck, but I tried to put the new cartridge into the wrong side and I think that the tab that took the film on the shoot is stuck, cause it doesn't move when I tried to take a photo without the cartridge
I placed a new film pack in my instax mini 9 but when I clicked the shutter button, the lights started flashing. I changed the batteries while the lens was open many times but the flashing didn't stop. Thinking that the problem was with the film placement, I opened the film compartment and took the film out, the black plastic piece ( the first film) was stuck behind it too, I took both out and placed the same film again but the flashing lights were still there. I did all this in dim lighting in order to not expose the film to light. Do note that the batteries were r6 1.5v and didn't have any info whether they were alkaline or not and the film wasn't expired either. Please guide Edit: 6 months passed still not fixed 😔 Edit 2: 10 months
Try changing your batteries to Duracell if you haven't. He's made another video with the same problem and he just had to change it to some higher quality batteries and it worked!
@@Sofia-qe3bf thank you but I changed the batteries many times, even the ones which they were working on before, but none worked. I'm not sure if I can easily duracell here. I will try to get the instax fixed from a repair shop.
On my past batteries the light brightness indicator are all turning red and , I try changing the batteries into new one but still the same and also the film is not coming out, it is already broken?
I wonder if the cam was stored without batteries between breaking and fixing it. If so, it might hint to internal buffers, which might power the electronics in the camera for a short while even with the batteries out. so just popping out the batteries for a second might not fix it in that case. leave the cam without power of an hour and then try again to make the camera really forget what it was doing.
Hi!!! I'm watching your video bc I was searching for what it's wrong!! with my mini Instax 9! It seems that worked fine but my film keeping come out black! and I thought it could be the film sheet.. but I bought new ones and It's still not working!! What I can do!!!!??
Hi, your problem is no you. It's the camera, mini 9 had a shutter problem..not opening. It's a easy fix but u must have the camera apart..I do this kinda of thing and sell the camera with the modified version. Guaranteed never to fail on the shutter..
Long shot here and seems like a common issue with blinking orange lights after I yanked the protective cover out while it got stuck taking the initial shot to remove the cover. Since then I tried using new (generic brand Alkaline) batteries but still the lights flash. I checked the voltage on the batteries and they are reading well above 1.5V in fact closer to 1.6V. The same batteries have worked in the past for the camera. Now I’m totally confused. It won’t hurt to try to put in a pair of Duracell batteries but can it really be the brand of batteries? Technically this should work unless my camera did break during my attempt to free up the protective cover. Anyways… any help will be greatly appreciated!
this happened to my camera as well, i yanked out one of the films since it didnt go all the way through and after that it stopped working, i opened up new film and put it in and changed the batteries and still nothing changed, I barely used the camera since i bought it and its been mostly on display. Im planning on just going to the store i bought this from and ask if they can check for the problem or if its repairable..but if you got the answer to why your camera was acting like that hopefully you could share to me how you got it to work again.
Yo listen 😭😭 the black piece on mine got stuck and then I removed the whole film pack and removed the film aggressively 😭😭😭 and it won’t WORKKK help me someoneee
I yanked it out, but it can get really stuck in there. If you are worried, you can send it to Fuji for repair. There are no secrets, just brute force, but you can easily break your camera.
You could try GENTLY inserting a card into the film slot to push it down a bit, that helped for me. Make sure to use a card you don't really use or is easy to replace, so like a point card for a shop or whatever
I pulled out the camera's protective layer And replaced it with new batteries (Alkaline LR6 ) But the camera lights are still blinking Please help me... I don't know what to do
