"Born as a niece to an unmarried heir. She was never supposed to be a monarch. By quirk of fate she ultimately became our greatest ever monarch". The best synopsis i've heard through out the last few days. Fair play to you Piers.

Yes, no better words to describe her strength after being thrust into duty, and rising to meet demands and exceed expectations.
And she did it all without therapists and coaches, but with her steadfast faith in her God and the love of her family.
God Bless You, Your Majesty. 🇬🇧👑🇨🇦

Thank you. My partner and I watched the build up from 9:30 until roughly 17:00 spellbound It's been suggested that Queen Elizabeth's funeral was bigger than her great-grandmother Queen Victoria in 1901 .The ability to record that on film was probably just available for the first time. Historically Britain was only 13 years away from one bloodiest conflicts in world history ww1.
Few people hear remember the death of the Queens father King George 6th .
We've only known one sovereign yet within the space of of a weekend the nation and the Royal family lost their mother and we've gained a King for many of us it's been sureel especially watching the events of the day .What really surprised me was the vast crowds that had come to pay their respects for 70 years of service to the nation.

I'm American but she's been the ONLY QUEEN I've ever known in all my decades. I had no mother, no family, no one. So to me the Royal family helped get me through life. The Queen gave me joy to watch throughout my life. I loved all the adorable things she did. Her laugh, smile, jokes, movie scenes, LOVED her passion and humor for her people, the world, she's beyond amazing. When I heard the Queen died. I'm fine to say I cried A LOT. My teen came home, we laid watching it all, crying. Our house went into mourning with you all. My 16 year old on her own changed the SS on her phone to the QUEEN. We as Americans wore black together and watched MANY pieces, clips, edits of royal fans, and more on QUEEN ELIZABETH ll. My daughter was a bit older than me when Princess Diana passed away. I remember having chest pains, balling, and broken watching that on TV. Somehow I felt the QUEEN was almost unable to pass away. Even though logically I knew she would. It makes me sad that my daughter only has me. I'm EXTREMELY ill and was told bad news at the doctors today. I worry if something happens who will take her. A mothers worry. While my teen is smiling (putting on a mom front as if it's all okay.) she's beyond sad about the Queen who she called, "MY QUEEN." At least she has me, when I had no one at her age. I'm sadden that she lost the Queen, might lose her mum, and will end up like me. So it's A LOT of saddness right now. The Queen made such an impact on the WORLD that you're truly right. We will NEVER in history ever have someone like her again. It hurts extremely bad. Especially when you have no one and lean on the Royal family all your life for that "FAMILY SUPPORT" that you don't have. I can't imagine the pain there if it hurt so bad watching such a loss. She was truly remarkable. She IS FOREVER remarkable. She is surely looking down smiling. I like to picture her like my grandparents who is well passed on. Sitting with her husband Prince Philip now and having a picnic together while looking down proudly, smiling, laughing, enjoying, and FINALLY taking a long overdue rest. Today will be FOREVER remembered. Thank you for sharing her with the world.

It was an amazing event. I watched this at home in the UK - It was so silent and still everywhere - no traffic apart from the very occasional lone car (probably carers visiting locally). It was quieter than the first lockdown. No one working in the garden, no children playing outside. It was just so still and quiet.
So lucky the timing for this event - if the Queen had passed in the summer, could you imagine all this pageantry in the heat? Instead, it took place in September and we have had dry days and today cool enough for all the particpants.

🇨🇦🇬🇧 I loved the perfectly placed candle today --whoever was responsible for that, or the camera placement, well done 👏🏻👏🏻!!
The ceremony was poignant and very meaningful. Big tears seeing Emma the pony, and Candy and Muick, the sweet corgis 😭.
Big fan of you, Piers --thank you for your insight and sharp interview skills!

I am very sorry for Britain's loss.
NO ONE puts on Majesterial events like the British People do.
I cried watching bits and pieces of HM, The Queen's funeral, on the telly, today.
Again, I am very sincerely sorry for Britain's loss.
America felt the loss of HM, The Queen as well. I surely did.

It was spectacular . When we do pomp we do it great . Heart in mouth moments fir tge colour party's from St. Giles right down to London, the moving scenes of the queen's horse , her last two corgi's , then the removal of her crown 👑, sceptre and orb , that was me in bits. I felt she was being robbed , but fully understood and accepted what it all meant. Sad as it all was , it was no less than she deserved , for her 70 + years of unfailing and remarkable sense of duty, and destiny . God bless you Ma'am , may you rest in eternal peace with your beloved Philip once more 🙏💙🇬🇧
