ZAEVIS yeah, all he'd need to change, if he finds the right girl, is to pull his bed out from the corner of his room. All he'll need to change, after they have a baby, is EVERYTHING! LOL! 😂
it is "tradition" kind of. In earlier times dense cities never had kitchens in apartments due to the high risk of fire. people in huge cities are just used to eat take aways, because its easier for them and always available
Funny thing I've found, with minimalism. It's far more devastating to "lose" something, through theft, breakage, etc. The few things I have mean more. Also, you noted that if someone broke in, they wouldn't find anything - but quite the contrary. They could steal everything you have, in 5 minutes flat. They wouldn't have to weed through any junk ;-)
Looks like you're a space maximalist. Thus, you use the maximum amount of energy to heat/cool your apartment because the displacement of the apartment is at it's highest... and pay the most rent possible for your space demands.. I don't get it.. You could probably fit all of this into a single bedroom and pay a fourth of the rent and a fourth of the heating/cooling bills.
neptronix I was thinking exactly the same thing when I read a comment asking how much money he saves from being a minimalist. Between this apartment, eating out, and paying for laundry it looks like he has a really expensive lifestyle
space unused and that kitchen unused.... is a huge waste!... but if he's planning to bring friends to breathe in there and make a little mess, so. it pays that
Feel sorry that you quit doing weddings.I think your work was inspiring a lot of kids to get in to the wedding industry.I feel like the niche opened for me to fit in.Weddings is more then 70% of what I do, so I going to take your spot for educating new wedding videographers and photographers. Thanks dude!
was obsessed with minimalism after seeing the documentary on Netflix, read their book and even marie kondo's book but still in the process of becoming minimal. Props to you for minimizing, Kraig!
for sure! i saw the documentary in feb and recently started listening to their podcasts every day, kinda addicted to it at the moment. i agree with everything but its definitely a process!! thanks for the tip, will do that :)
I really like you. The style you make these videos is amazing and so good. Quality. The minimalism is bit trendy nowadays so its cool if it is just your own style. I think it is good, clean and simple.
I think that you live comfortably. The space leaves you area to focus on the things that are important to you. People need to realize it doesn't take a lot of material items to live. In fact not having a lot of stuff will leave you less stressed out and in debt. So your basic apartment is awesome! :) However, You should focus on buying food instead of eating out all the time. If you don't know how to cook go on UA-cam and look up some of the foods you like to get when you eat out all time. Trust me you will save a lot more money cooking at home than going out to eat all time. Plus you can always fix extra for later. I think it sad when another adult male or female can't cook for themselves.
Lol, this guy's place is almost barebones empty - you can't even classify it as minimalism anymore. He just doesn't buy anything. Look up Scandinavian Minimalism on Google or literally just Minimalism and I guarantee that every picture will have more things that what this guy has in his living room.
He does not have everything that he needs. He exports his needs to other places for money. This is a huge difference. A real minimalist is in full control of his needs and thus scales back while staying able to act on them anytime. He is more of a consumer with a BnB apartment. However, no judgment ofc - everyone as they like.
This was really inspirational. This is what my appartment looked like during my first year abroad. I miss those days. Thanks for giving me a visual push to go back to less.
LOVE MINIMALISM!!! You helped inspire us to become better filmmakers!! We just posted our first Short Film for UA-cam and have received so much support. Thanks for all your tutorials Kraig!!
not weird: you do you. and maybe one day you wake up and you're tired of it and buy a ton of shit you like/want/need, or not...important thing is not forcing lifestyles on ourselves just because someone else tells it's better their way.
Loved your video! You are so adorable and your personality is so down to earth. How I came to your video is because I recently quit my job and will be relaunching my virtual assistant business soon. I have been very interested in attempting to live as minimalist as possible and starting today will be getting rid of a lot useless things in my apartment. I feel the decluttering of my home and home office will bring me more focus and energy as I step back into being an entrepreneur again. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I wish you all the best!
lol the ending made me laugh. That was awkward yet funny at the same time. Your work station looks like mine. I admire your ability to live in a simple home.
When I moved together with my girlfriend into a new (pretty large) apartment I had 4 moving boxes and my PC. She had 70 boxes. I love her but it feels like someone else's place because 98% of things here are not mine and I would not want them.
Minimizing gear is such a good idea, it's so easy to want to get gear to fill the gaps in production but i'm sure there is a way to find the balance as you have.
Nonsense. He us not gay, just not a cave man, tough Brooklyn guy. I have 2 sons, one with his mannerism, who will be a doctor Soon, and another the street smart Brooklyn guy. It takes all kinds of men... Being Gay is cool too in NYC... easier there...
It wouldve been helpful if you explained why youre a minimalist. Are you just really cheap, do you think youre somehow "saving the planet", or owning a normal amount of stuff makes you anxious? etc etc.. Im really trying to understand your thought process here.
is this what the gentrification is like now? being so rich to rent or own an apartment in an expensive neighborhood to purchase emptiness? i personally dont understand this unseasoned, drab life.
I'm glad I watched this after cleaning my closet and donating two huge bags of clothes! The lack of snacks was the most shocking part! I always have to have a variety of snacks available.
I did watch til the end lol. The acoustic wall does look nice in the background. I've lived alone for a long time and now have a temporary roommate. It's nice having someone around sometimes but I still enjoy my alone time as well. It's all about balance as with everything in life ;)
That ending was epic! I'm trying to be a minimalist myself but I don't think I can get on your level. That's a little too much. You are still awesome though!
I had no idea you where going the minimalist route. It's funny because I started watching you in 2014 when I started filming weddings, I've been keeping up with your content, but have fallen off like a year ago. Now I discover this channel of yours, and it's funny because I started going the minimalist route like a year or two ago too. I just didn't go as extreme :)
This ending! Hahaha loved it. I have actually started to give away more stuff since watching your first minimalist video. It is hard when you have roommates for sure but I think you can sustain a sense of minimalism with other people living with you. It probably won't be as naked as your apartment now, but it can work.
Loved this video! Your minimal film gear is Absolute Goals! It's the bit I find hardest to declutter and simplify actually, even more so than small sentimental items. I'm gonna steal your idea for a roller bag for storage, if that's cool?
I love it! So neat and airy! I hope the roommate doesn't get on your nerves. I can't put up with people in my personal space for long periods of time. Good luck! 🍀
the coffee cup on the corner stresses me out, please move it a little further from the edge
connor flynn Same here! I kinda freaked when swinged his arm extremely close to the mug. Phew! lol
same here OMG :)))
OMG! I'm not the only mentally disabled here! :D Wish we could hang out for real! It would be fun for sure! Love from Bangladesh.
connor flynn yeees ! 😂😂
OMG as i got a anxiety... i scrolled and i saw this and i'm safe.
Anxiously awaiting your minimalist cereal review.
Lol
plain cheerios
Matt WhoisMatt Johnson cooking is for woman
makes me wanna clean out all my shit
will do man!! it would make life so much easier (particularly cleaning)
Hayden Budd I'm looking his place and then looking mine... also want to be a little bit more minimalistic.. I have a lot of useless stuff
Hayden Budd yeah me too!
This guy is so funny in his own dry way but I understand it
Who's Marcc I also identify with this guy, but I'm a mess
You're wierd but I like it
Kraig Adams excellent response.
wesh tu fais quoi ici mdr.
+Yacine en gubbe bakom mig och skrek ifall jag visste om tåget hade behandlat en sån stor kebab
I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING
no plant, and you call your self a youtuber
bennettsayshi you forgot the candle too!
For shame, for shame.
and the fairy lights
bennettsayshi and some random throw cushions!
Yup to complete the youtuber thing he needs a cactus lol
Girlfriend moving in = completely not minimalist apartment
Kraig Adams and I will not say about baby:) oh man, it will ruin minimalist's life:)
ZAEVIS yeah, all he'd need to change, if he finds the right girl, is to pull his bed out from the corner of his room.
All he'll need to change, after they have a baby, is EVERYTHING! LOL! 😂
you're forgetting makeup, flowers, clothes, pictures, clothes, shoes and did I mention clothes.
#ment
for me it was the other way around haha (boyfriend=mess)
does literally no one in new york cook for themselves? lol that's how it seems
Thinking the same thing. Nothing 'minimalist' about being dependent on others for food.
katherinethe19th single-hood I guess
it is "tradition" kind of. In earlier times dense cities never had kitchens in apartments due to the high risk of fire.
people in huge cities are just used to eat take aways, because its easier for them and always available
Makes me think slightly that the money he saves on living minimalistic might be spent on eating out. But then again I have no clue. Shrugs
YUP
I keep my wallet, keys, and phone in my pants pockets, so if I'm ever missing anything...I'm probably not wearing pants.
have you tried keeping keys (in) your wallet
😂😂😂

Really glad that i discovered your channel, i like your vibe
Took me a while to work it out but for Americans "first floor" is what we in Australia (and UK?) call the ground floor.
The UK is ground floor yes. Up next is the first floor. But in the US they both mean the surface/bottom floor.
America it is ground floor also.
This is perfect, I hate a cluttered house. The only issue I'd have is your kitchen. Do you enjoy starvation? Or do you just eat out?
I don't trust people that wear shoes in their own house!
Morgane NDW I was gonna argue but then I realized I'm barefoot right now.
Morgane NDW it grosses me out
You don't trust white people? Racist!
Ex-Muslima L Really?!
I didn't notice and now I'm bothered
Looks like you're a space maximalist. Thus, you use the maximum amount of energy to heat/cool your apartment because the displacement of the apartment is at it's highest... and pay the most rent possible for your space demands..

space unused and that kitchen unused.... is a huge waste!... but if he's planning to bring friends to breathe in there and make a little mess, so. it pays that
neptronix Just what I was thinking
Acoustic wall looks cool. It looks like flooring tiles. The kitchen cabinet was too funny. I liked you randomly standing in the bath tub 😂 TFS 😊
Great ending. Wouldn't mind it if that became a signature thing of yours. Unique. Funny. Awkward. I love your mind. Kind regards from a fellow WNYer.
You're editing and humor are awesome. Nice space, definitely hoping to go more minimal back at school it's such a freeing feeling
was obsessed with minimalism after seeing the documentary on Netflix, read their book and even marie kondo's book but still in the process of becoming minimal. Props to you for minimizing, Kraig!
Minimalism: a documentary about the important things
for sure! i saw the documentary in feb and recently started listening to their podcasts every day, kinda addicted to it at the moment. i agree with everything but its definitely a process!! thanks for the tip, will do that :)
My heart stopped at 1:27, thought you were for sure gonna knock over that mug
Wow, I really love it. This is my perfect place for living.
Love this video, very well produced and it keeps me watching through to the end. Great job!
your voice is so soothing! I love your quirkiness and the way you interact with yourself y must u b so cool man
The only thing missing is actual foooodd lol other than that neat space
so you eat always out? Breakfast, lunch and dinner? :-O
Love this dude. Funny, quirky and fascinating. Nice apartment, very inspiring. You have a new subscriber!
I haven't had a good chuckle over a youtube video in years. Thank you for the refreshing content :)
Did you also get rid of your monitor 😮 ? Personally I find editing video on bigger screen more comfortable...
Kraig Adams sbba
Bro, get a mini fridge. You dont need a big ass fridge
Love it... thx for being so open. Really enjoy your hiking videos.
I really like you. The style you make these videos is amazing and so good. Quality.
The minimalism is bit trendy nowadays so its cool if it is just your own style. I think it is good, clean and simple.
On my way over.
I don't drink that shit...I'll bring some tight ass coffee though.

Removing things can mean all of the difference in the world.
Best comment
You are awesome.
Excited to see new stuff from you!
These videos are so chill and lol minimalist is an understatement dude
Hmm, can't cook, doesn't do his own laundry...
gradma raised spoiled yuppie?
Pretty typical NYC living. I can cook but it's easier and cheaper to eat out.
There's a difference between minimalism and just not having anything lol.
Kyle Tam No.... what
Lol, this guy's place is almost barebones empty - you can't even classify it as minimalism anymore. He just doesn't buy anything. Kyle Tam So what? He just has what he needs. That's what it means to be minimalist.
He has what he needs. Its minimalistic, everyone's minimalism is different
He does not have everything that he needs. He exports his needs to other places for money. This is a huge difference.
A real minimalist is in full control of his needs and thus scales back while staying able to act on them anytime.

awesome vid man! have been thinking about going minimalist lately and you have a great setup
Cool shots man! Especially the opening shot and pan
I stayed...damn it...😂
where did you buy those steel shelves?
Looks like the Hyllis Shelving from Ikea
Hey Kraig!! if you need to get rid of some money because you know.. "minimalism" i can help you out!! hehe
love your filming and editing technique with this tour - kept it engaging whole way through!!! #goals
This was really inspirational. This is what my appartment looked like during my first year abroad. I miss those days. Thanks for giving me a visual push to go back to less.
"It's 1018p, not the best quality..." 1st world problems amirite?
Dylan Lewis its only 62 pixels off
The cup being so close to the edge of the table is giving me anxiety.
LOVE MINIMALISM!!! You helped inspire us to become better filmmakers!! We just posted our first Short Film for UA-cam and have received so much support. Thanks for all your tutorials Kraig!!
That little "FRIENDS LOL" made me laugh and I immediately clicked like and subscribed lmao
not weird: you do you. and maybe one day you wake up and you're tired of it and buy a ton of shit you like/want/need, or not...important thing is not forcing lifestyles on ourselves just because someone else tells it's better their way.
stone_23 so true.
Why do people place double beds in the corner of the room? It's annoying for one person to get out and a hassle when you put sheets on the bed.
Keep up the content, Kraig. You're going to go places with that unique personality bro! All the best, from down under.
Loved your video! You are so adorable and your personality is so down to earth. How I came to your video is because I recently quit my job and will be relaunching my virtual assistant business soon. Minimalist Apartment Tour:
*walks in*
"hello, welcome to my apartment."
"that's all there is to show, goodbye!"
*video ends*
So pleased that even minimalists aren't barbaric enough to drink instant coffee.☕☕☕
OMG! You are really charismatic . Thank you for sharing!
lol the ending made me laugh. That was awkward yet funny at the same time. Your work station looks like mine. I admire your ability to live in a simple home.
Now watch his new roommate be a hoarder! : l
how much is your rent?
probably $1500. just a guess
I jumped a bit at 1:28 when you moved your hand, that’s how I always spill my coffee everywhere. Cool video! 👌🏼
First video that i watched from you and I thought wow I like this guy. You just earned one more sub my friend.
Where are the condoms?
8:23 What? What is this? Am I stupid? Why am I watching
When I moved together with my girlfriend into a new (pretty large) apartment I had 4 moving boxes and my PC.
She had 70 boxes. I love her but it feels like someone else's place because 98% of things here are not mine and I would not want them.
i love the editing and i subscribed because of "friends LOL". nice work
Why girlfriend? Get a cat.
get 1 plant
Love your vids Kraig! Dig the minimalism too...Greetings from Ireland 👌🌝
Minimizing gear is such a good idea, it's so easy to want to get gear to fill the gaps in production but i'm sure there is a way to find the balance as you have.
5/10
I thought you were gay hahaha, gess I was wrong
Renato Miranda Gonçalves well, assumptions are not always right. same here btw
Renato Miranda Gonçalves me too :)
Nonsense. He us not gay, just not a cave man, tough Brooklyn guy. I have 2 sons, one with his mannerism, who will be a doctor Soon, and another the street smart Brooklyn guy. It takes all kinds of men... Being Gay is cool too in NYC... easier there...
I love minimalism so much. This was highly satisfying to watch 😩😩😩
Found you from Hornstrandir. My friend and I are planning an Iceland trip soon! I love your vibe. Both professional and personal.
It wouldve been helpful if you explained why youre a minimalist. Are you just really cheap, do you think youre somehow "saving the planet", or owning a normal amount of stuff makes you anxious? etc etc.. Im really trying to understand your thought process here.
Minimalist is a fancy word for someone with OCD
This was so satisfying to watch . So simple yet so comfortable 👌🏼🙌🏼
I absolutely love the natural lighting in your living room!
This video is so boring is almost like conceptual art.
Well, i found it entertaining.
is this what the gentrification is like now? being so rich to rent or own an apartment in an expensive neighborhood to purchase emptiness? i personally dont understand this unseasoned, drab life.
Your personality is goofy yet very endearing! I could never live with so little but deep down I would like to try becaus it seems soooo satisfying :3
I'm glad I watched this after cleaning my closet and donating two huge bags of clothes! The lack of snacks was the most shocking part! I always have to have a variety of snacks available.
I love this, I've gotten rid of so much stuff, and now, I 'm still working at it slowly.
Excellent! Thanks you for sharing your experience!!!
I love it! Very roomy, clean and minimal
You legit had me rolling with that last clip.
love the apartments and the minimalists!!!
Pretty sweet! Inspired me to get rid of a lot of unnecessary and unused stuff.
It amazing your minimalist level! and the final part of the video LOL
I did watch til the end lol. The acoustic wall does look nice in the background. I've lived alone for a long time and now have a temporary roommate. It's nice having someone around sometimes but I still enjoy my alone time as well. It's all about balance as with everything in life ;)
This video make a new standard for me. It will be hard looking at other minimalist video on youtube regarding apartment minimalism.
Yesss I love this! Finally a minimalism video that's actually minimalist 😂
That ending was epic! I'm trying to be a minimalist myself but I don't think I can get on your level. That's a little too much. You are still awesome though!

Such a humble guy, awesome don't change!
I think this is the most minimalist minimalist video I've ever seen 😊
This ending! Hahaha loved it. I have actually started to give away more stuff since watching your first minimalist video. I love this. Calm and serene
I love it! So neat and airy! I hope the roommate doesn't get on your nerves. I can't put up with people in my personal space for long periods of time. Good luck! 🍀
I totally watched till the end haha love the apartment! So what's your plan on maintaining yourself in NYC without the weddings?
