I read this before I watched the video and feared the worst.
There are several variations of that for RVs and boats.
It's a common thing in Japan.
Is it weird that I low key love this? Idk there's just something so comforting about it
MegaMac464 SAME!
Dude, I love it as well.
Yh I feel like she has a point saying that the apartment makes you rly creative
That sort of thing would make me want to both go outside/explore more and create
I know what you mean. I feel the same, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I also am not sure if I actually could do this, but I start to trick myself into thinking I could because these people make it look so easy and organized! I am a disorganized person with packrat tendencies.
This inspires me to clean and organize my room, and throw out the things I don't need. Thanks.

Emma is cute and super funny.. I love her laughter, love the way she appreciates and respects every small thing and how she is happy and contented in her tiny space.
"...I don't think I'll ever be satisfied until I'm satisfied with where I am presently..." This speaks on such a deeper level than just living space!
;
Oh fuck off!
No it doe'sn ot!
Weird thread :/
@@zyke5196 I'm not even sure where they took it...I just thought it could apply to more than just the apartment. Oh well.
That toilet is absolutely genius!
SilkyC its her favorite tging lol
U hot
Yeah I was really impressed by the idea.
I thought the 'sink' was the toilet.....
Zikri same haha
Zikri it's both if need be
it should be then they would have more space
it can work if your poop is liquid enough
pervert :)
"what animal sleeps out in the open?" Such a good point. My two Chihuahuas have a large kennel and they typically curl up in the corner where they squished up their puppy blankets and toys.
That toilet is for multitaskers.
*pooping while brushing your teeth while having a shower.*
Jonathan De guzman lmfao 😂😂🤣
I lways brush my teeth while pooping
Jonathan De guzman 😂😂😂
Omg😂😂😂😂😂😂
You may mean it in a joking manner but that is the actual purpose of the Japanese bathrooms
I had to check the comment section to see if anyone else thought these two could potentially get together and holy moly

Not good for claustrophobic
Nice and private apartment. Has everything one would really need along with a happy and content person. Easy to clean as well.
Just to give you some reference by French insurance, 8 square meters is not even considered a room. It has to be 9 square meters.
French law would not even allow such an apartment to be rented
Same in Argentina. 2,70x2,70 meters is the smallest a bedroom can be.
I just saw a video previous of this video in a french Apt.. It was smaller than this place...
@@Fonzi79 it's illegal, but people still do it...
I worked for an insurance company so I know the laws quite well 😅
The way she just talks about earthquakes make me think it’s like a daily thing 😂
quite regular here actually
When you live in taiwan or japan, these are quite regular, in taiwan eastern part its more like daily
ummmm...it is... just not detectable by normal human senses
I mean there are (unnoticeable) tremors every day, multiple times but as for stronger earthquakes that are noticeable, maybe once anywhere from a day or two, to half a year. I mean I'm back home in Chiba, for my summer holidays and in the past week or so, there has been two noticeable (but not very strong) earthquakes.
For sure!

I'm glad that she was very happy with her apartment.
I've seen vids of college "closet rooms" where you share a kitchenette and bathroom areas. At least she has privacy.
IF she wants to hang items on the walls, 3M products does sell NON Permanant heavy duty hooks and mounting items which she could check out. 💓
I thought that this girl was so sweet but when she said ‘sorry to the snake plant’ I was like yep! I was right, she’s a real sweet girl.
Seriously when she apologized to the snake plant, it restored my faith in humans. She's so respectful to her living space and living things.
SHE IS A SHY CUTE LOVELY GIRL
that is japanese culture, actually. They are saying sorry even to stone, to table, to everything they hit.
@@SArGwo why is that? It is a belief that God is "in" everything?
@@glitterinmyeyes333 As far as I know, Japanese people do not believe in gods, they believe in respecting all things, living or not living
This is way too wholesome she's so happy when he likes it at the end
I’d be so claustrophobic living here. Literally can’t breath watching this video.
yep, im the same. i literally couldnt live in such a tiny space

I would be driving nuts slowly. this is like jail cell.
I would feel very cozy and safe there :D

I occasionally come back to watch my favorite tiny house videos. While this is def the smallest, it’s her joy and attitude that make me love her apartment (for her).
Those stairs weren't made for the drunk
I was thinking the same thing.

Leonardo Antonio that's a ladder not stairs
Leonardo Antonio Hey now don't be saké

Forget the apartment/corridor, did they end up together???
She have a boyfriend LOL
Why would they ? Wtf..
I think she dated her boyfriend for quite long, even before she moved to Japan
No. His girlfriend is behind the camera 😂
Emma is from Down Under. After filming this video, they probably ended up being down under.
The biggest mystery is how this turns into a 13 minute video
And how did we ended up watching the whole thing.
It doesnt

This dude really said "show me around" lmao
he is trying to smash
Papaslittlegun hahahahahahahahaha
He definitely hit that, and it definitely upset every neighbor.
Makes complete sense, he can stand in the center and she can spin him around and show him every thing...
HAHAHAHA LMAO IT WAS FUNNY
I'm amazed. I'm claustrophobic watching this, but it really takes you into a different realm of functionality and comfort. A dinner party would be a great video watch!
she seems to be a very adorable person, must check out her channel
yeah what is her channel? she's so outspoken and doesn't flinch a bit to talk about anything she practically interviewed herself haha

Yay you posted it, the video is great!!! Thanks so much for coming to visit my tiny home, it was great to meet you guys :) Hope the rest of your travels around Japan went well and hit me up next time you're here!!! All the best

Heya! Awesome that you like how it turned out! Thanks for having us. We will certainly drop you a line next time we're in Japan. :)
Tokidoki Traveller omg i love your videos. 💝💝

They shouldn't have talked so much in a place like that. They had to save oxygen.

Harry Potter can't fit under those stairs...
My hallway is bigger. 😯
I gave you your 1000th comment.
bryce should have turned up with a hotdog
I LOVE her place, and she seems super cool, always smiling. great vibes.
It is so small, while watching I could not even breathe . Although japanese people made it so comfortable for life. Japanese people are really clever and innovative. Respect them
Its not that small actually. Asian people have a smaller body
Not being able to stretch your arms even when you are not tall is suffocating
Somehow Japan has a feel at home in everything they build. The streets, the people, the villages, even the apartments. I just love this country so much. It's perfect for independent living and enjoying life, especially for those who love the minimalistic lifestyle!

I was so expecting to skip through most of this to just see what it looked like, but stayed because that girl seems like the coolest most friendly person ever! I found everything so funny and interesting, the dudes pretty cool too! I hope he asked her out 😉😎.
Her name is Emma (Tokidoki Traveler), and she has a boyfriend. 😅
Pretty sure his wife (or gf) was the one filming. Also, he seems to have this demeanor toward nearly everyone he interviews.
me too!
Be happy for the small things right, then again she is super positive atleast when others would complain about it.
This the most cute prison cell ever!! I love it!

Most tiny apartments on youtube aren't really apartments as they do not have their own kitchen and bathroom. I think this IS the smallest real apartment I have seen. Great use of space and very livable.
I'm about to move into an 11m2 room in a shared apartment and was worrying about not having enough space :D Love what Emma has done with the space and her positive attitude towards things
