HO Scale: Kansas City Eastern with Santa Fe bonus! Pt.1

Well, I thought I was out of stuff to post for this weekend, but I found some footage back from January 27th that was never posted. When I edited them all together, I realized it need to be "filled out" some more. So late yesterday afternoon I pulled the train back out and finished the job.
Didn't know at the time that I filmed more than expected, which turned this into a two part video. So next week we'll pick up where this one leaves off. I would have made it all one large video, however due to time issues yesterday, I just couldn't get it all done, plus waiting for the render and upload times. So it was broken up into two parts. Like usual, the KCE train is mine (though I do have a handful of club cars in the mix), and the Santa Fe trains that show up belong to another member.
Also, I apologize for the random conversation that takes place near the end of this video. It's the joys of filming in a large train club. Anyway, that's it for now, gotta cut this short because it's late and I'm tired. This Wednesday will be the rest of what I filmed last Sunday over at Santa Fe Junction in Kansas City and then next Sunday with part two of this video. Thanks for watching and see you all next time!
Jason

The added brilliance is that it sounds exactly like the freight engines that run behind my home. Awesome.

At first glance I thought it was a real yard scene! Outstanding!!👏👏👍
I got to see the real life version of the KC yard, last summer. One of the loudest, and most hectic yards in America. For this version, the detail and weathering is amazing. One of the best hobbies in the world.

Hi
@@shahimaiema6150 hello...🙂🙂
Love the TFM gondola and Tex Mex box car. Great video. Awesome layout
OMG These look just like the ones outside my window daily here by the apartments where I live at in Argentine in Kansas City, kansas. how awesome so real like. Great video. Thanks for sharing. God bless
Cool. Last time I went to Argentine they said I had to go.
why?
I'm getting new phone soon hope to video some of these trains from my window or bridge right here by my apartment highrise-wandering now if i can
there's 13 tracks here i see daily
Because some at the BNSF think railfans are terrorists or something. I've actually been called that by one once.
I like the weathered train cars they are most realistic.just a thought; (If our American rail lines would spend time cleaning and painting ALL of our very dirty trains? it would create alot of needed jobs across the lands of America.) from N.Y. to California to Texas and down to Florida. Thats alot of jobs. Click thumbs up if you AGREE. Nice lay out, thanks for sharing
This looks sooo realistic the ballast is really cool
The wheels clicking over the turnouts when that Santa Fe fast freight goes by sounds just like the real thing. Very neat!
I agree
It's so satisfying to hear

Very nice video...looking forward to pt 2!
Awesome as always! Nice operation. Keep rolling those foreign cars (y)
Couldn't believe this was HO scale, looks like "O" scale in video and sound of wheels was so real. Great video.
Thanks. Yep, this is HO. Glad you enjoyed it!
Some horn sounds would have been the icing on the cake!
I got to visit that place soon. Brings back good memories as a kid.
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!

Been looking for an idea for a dynamometer car... then finally noticed your caboose: wide vision-bay window... now my wheels are turning!
Happy to see roling the NdeM gondola and TFM box car, awesome trains.
Hello Jackson!. It was a long time since I didn't watch any videos of you. I also don't receive news from you on UA-cam, even though I've been subscribed for a long time.
You have new videos?... I would like to see new videos of that model again. Thank you. Best regards....
Always enjoy your videos Jason. As well as your photos on the Freelance Railroad Facebook page.
Good to see a GP-30 in "Deramus" red scheme.

Nice weathering job on the freight cars.
And i subscribed for this video, you deserve to get that dude
Man it's been a while since I've sat back and watched one of these KCE layout videos. Really fun to watch!
Thanks Bishop. Actually, this is the first one of these I've done in a while, too many other things going. So you probably haven't missed one. :D
Nice video and great trackage. What's a GP-30-3?
Way cool video guys! Cheers!🍻
Mamezing and mini train is very nice and butyful
who remembers watching this as your ere younger
🏆😃👌 very good !
The Santa Fe manifest pulling all those cars..are all the lead units powered.?....very nice setup
Nice. Some good looking run by’s. And some nicely weathered freight cars. Thanks for sharing. 🚂
Very nice indeed!
Sweet video!
Very nice indeed! You do seem to have a pretty good hump in your track at about the 6:55 mark, though.
Espectacular. Impresionante
Great video
Awesome video
Love this video. Someday like to build a layout
what size turnouts do you guys use in the engine refueling facility and where the steam locos are parked? they look smaller than most in the yard area there
For the diesel area, I've used the small Peco turnouts and in the steam area I used the mediums. True, the larges would look better, but they also take up a lot more space. Since slow speeds are required in the yard, locomotives can easily handle them.
Nice vide. Thank you.
Should have put a flat bed in front of the lead engine and put a go pro on the flat bed giving it a engineers POV, other than that you got one bad ass layout.
Thanks. I've got video posted of "cab rides" but I do plan on doing a new, updated video later this summer after our layout expansion is finished.
How much cost.
Some one give me this in gift🙏
Disculpe señor es de usted todooooooo

Very Nice 👍
Nice video, I do enjoy GP30's.
My favorite totally original model railroad. Weren't you building a giant passenger terminal? How's that going?
Which are the power supply to the locomotive?
Very very beautifulllll 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Felicidades!!!
Nice
Those purple ones at 0:50 are neat.
Atlantic Coast Line. Those belong to Dad actually, purple is his favorite color.
how to make this video
Fascinante
Nice video
WOW !!!

Bachmann. I have those model trains too. (Bachmann is the company)

Love your layout man! Do you plan on integrating any passenger trains?
Thanks! We have quite a few passenger trains actually. Just random chance that none were being run when I was filming this video. But yeah we have them from all eras and many different railroads.
Railfan Jason I have wanted to create a layout for a while but I live in a two family house where there isn’t a lot of space. Can you recommend anything?
Join a club. I live in an apartment, so I can't have anything even remotely close to this club layout. If you can't join a club though, you could also look into doing a small shelf style, industrial switching layout.
Can we buy it
Y
Tracks looks very Realistic, are they scratch built?
Cool Nice vídeo👍
AMO TREM.
Sweet!....next time bring your GoPro and mount it on the engine... just saying
How much it cost to build own scale model set like this and how much space it needs?
One to one million. Depends on what you want. Figure a starting cost of $250 and up. Good luck! If new start with HO gauge. Cheapest and best bet in the long run.
I love it when humans show up accidentally on purpose during the video.
Always reminds of the 1960's TV show Land of the Giants.
what is the price pf this train model??
0:33 not to be stupid, but who else thought it would be KFC????? XD
i love chrans
That’s a lot of locomotives! Are some of them dummy’s? If so, where do you find the modern dummy locomotives at?
None are dummies. I don't know of any readily available either. If you want some, I'd suggest looking on eBay for dummy units.
Great job.
At the 4:41 mark, whats causing the green boxcar to wobble like that?
Looks like the screws holding the trucks to the frame of the car need to be tightened up just a little bit.
Looks like he needs to bad order it and set it out
Where can i buy this train
Nice video!
Thanks!
Wish u used the horn more
The KCE and Santa Fe units don't have sound decoders in them yet, so unfortunately there's no horns available to use.

How many cars? How many trains?
