Because Boo's voice was so young when they were recording this, they didn't actually give her any lines. They just followed her around with a microphone and picked up her babble.
n somehow she only understood the words "Kitty" and "Mike Wazowski"
Even when I was 5-8 years old, I knew there was something so *real* and adorable about it. I mean, even her voice sounds like it would come from Boo. They might've created one of the cutest things in animation history.
She looks and sounds exactly like my little niece
One fan theory I've heard is that the monsters are so scared of humans because they first discovered our world during a plague or something.
I think it's more simple than that. Humans are their energy source and so naturally they assumed that they must be Radioactive. Like imagine if a hunk of plutonium is walking and talking
@@SpiderandMosquito Huh, those 2 ideas are interesting. The reasons I often assumed were government- conspiracy related - that the CDA and higher-ups already know the children aren't toxic but they tell the general public that for several reasons.
One reason being to sort of "dehumanize" the children, so there's no guilt or complex about scaring them if they're just seen as these toxic creatures. Another possible reason could be to protect the *children themselves* as innocent sentient beings, so that the monsters wouldn't actually touch and physically hurt the children to get them to scream in pain, only from scaring, so that the monsters could only get the screams in humane ways. I always found those theories (not my own) the most compelling and believable.
Yes, i heard it too
@@Wawagirl17 Just look at what Randel was willing to do when he discovered the truth he decided on mass kidnaping.
@@Wawagirl17 yeah that sounds likely because when Roz reveals herself as #1 in the CDA she is pretty unfazed at seeing boo. So it makes me think that the CDA or the government in general know that human children arent dangerous but as you say they need their power source and dont wanna cause trouble with grown humans
Imagine being in college last year for intimidation and they decided to change the whole system
Thats literally gonna be the plot to the new Pixar Disney plus show called Monsters at Work coming soon lmao. The setting is after Monsters Inc with Sully running the company but using children's laughter and the plot follows a recent Monsters University grad student who was top of his class at scaring but now has to quickly adjust to the new system
Nice prediction
So happy to see you react to this. This was one of my favourite films to watch growing up, alongside the first 2 shreks.
I was really hoping you would love Boo since she's so adorable.
Waternoose (I honestly don't even remember if that's how you spell it) is my idea of a twist villain done right in a movie. He wasn't an antagonist just for the sake of it, it was for the sake of his company, his motives were very understandable and he doesn't completely abandon his previous character such as when he was teaming up with Randal he was still defending Sully and saying "Sillivan was twice the scarer you will ever be".
Monsters University would be cool for you to watch. Imo it's worse than the first but the ending scenes of Monsters University have such an impact, especially after you've watched this movie so it'd be an interesting watch for you.
i love seeing your reactions to these older movies. i haven't seen monsters inc in a good ten years or more and may or may not have teared up a couple times watching this. if you haven't seen 'treasure planet' yet, something tells me you'll love that one as well. it's one of my favorite movies from my childhood and it never got the love it deserved (there's videos on youtube about how the studio itself wanted the film to fail and how it was set up for failure from the start which is so sad). but i definitely think you'd like it a lot.
:)
Treasure Planet has gotten a lot of votes over on Patreon movie polls so something tells me it'll happen sooner or later!
@@ericreacts2 :) this just made my day lol i look forward to maybe seeing that reaction in the future
just found your channel, been bingeing. Great reactions and great movie choices. Keep up the fun videos.
Thanks! :)
Not gonna lie: kinda wanted to see your reactions to the bloopers. I don't know if I'd have to become a patron to watch it, but I figured that you'd enjoy them.
Please, please react to Monsters University, the prequel. I love it even more than this one, and you might notice some animation crossovers from Lilo and Stitch 😁
She wasn’t speaking another language. Have you ever been around kids between the age of 1 - 2? They normally say a couple of words, but the rest is baby babble. Especially when they try to form sentences. They will say the words they know and use babble in between to form full sentences. They are simply trying to mimic what they hear adults doing (as best as they can).
Me at 10:11 Boo I know he scares you, but you gotta be a big girl now.
@Summer Rose Oh yeah!
I hope Boo will return in Monsters At Work
That gator scene always cracks me up 😂
God ur facial expressions are soooooo good🙂🤘
Love your movie reactions
the way you repeat every move or action you see is just SOOOO CUTEEEEEEE
Pixar originally asked Billy Crystal to be Woody to which he said, "no." He would later state that it was the greatest career mistake of his life. So when he was later asked to be Mike he said "absolutely!"
Hey, Eric can you do a reaction to Brother Bear? I have a feeling you’ll love it
7:07 In the scream extractor scene with Mike Wasowski, there's a POV shot where the vacuum mask is moving towards the camera screen. That shot has scarred me for life when I was a little kid, and it STILL scares me to this very day where I have to cover my eyes when that scene comes up. 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Don't watch The Dark Crystal...
@@nicobones9608 😄😄😄😆😆😆😂😆🤣😆🤣
Look at monsters hand and stop quickly at11:26
Been enjoying your movie reactions during these strange times

Fun fact: There was gonna be sequel to Monsters Inc called “Monsters Inc: Lost In Scaradise” but it got canceled.
4:24 It was at this moment that they knew,
They f*cked up.
Pixar originally wanted Billy Cryer for the role of Woody in their upcoming movie 'Toy Story' but he turned it down. He would later say that it was the worst decision of his career. So when 'Monsters, Inc.' Came up he jumped on the chance
The comedic timing of this movie is *chefs kiss*
If you watch "Feed the Kitty" a 1951 Warner Brother's short you can see where they copied a segment almost beat for beat where Sully thinks Boo is getting crushed into a garbage cube.
Very clever Eric, up until the end I did not understand that laughter is more powerful than scream of fear
thinking of the Frank Zappa song " Don't you eat that yellow snow "
'
John Ratzenberger is in every Pixar movie
HOW HAVE YOU NOT SEEN THIS?? I guess it works out cause we all get to see someone react to it, if there are any other Pixar movies you haven’t seen please put it up to poll

Welcome to the Himalayas!
This is actually my personal favorite pixar film ngl
Can you watch Monsters University.
not sure about authorial intent, but if you are traumatizing beings to keep your way of life going… it’s much easier if they are seen as less than or dangerous
have you reacted to monster's university?
Boo is director Pete Doctor's 3 year old daughter
"Boo" was the daughter of director Pete Doctor
In Latin America, 2319 is 3312.
Can you react to monsters university?
6:30 for those of you who don't know John Lasseter was a huge fan of Chuck Jones and so some of you out there might recognize the reference that this whole dramatic irony Sully freakout is based on. I can't remember the title top of my head but it's a famous Looney Tunes moment.
Feed the kitty is the name of the looney tunes short
@@alisonsouter8788 thanks
@@SpiderandMosquito no problem!
just rewatched your reaction, far as Boo speaking, it could be that 'kitty', and 'Mike Wiskowski' are actually the only words she can speak in "monster language".
John Ratzenberger is in every Pixar movie. They think it brings them luck

Lol 😂
Can u watch Monsters University next if u can pls?
Boo is played by Director Pete Doctor's daughter
Subbed right away!
I remember there was so much content in monsters inc that when I was a kid I thought it was a trilogy.
(10:30)
Here's the pitch.
And he is outta here!
(10:45)
This is my favorite best part.
This is one of my favorite movies ever 🥰🥰🥰
Just love your videos...keep it up bro❤️
Beware of the the 2319
11:28 That part gets me that I cry
Ese maldito Patreon, como fastidia las cosas.
I saw this movie, many of times.
