    But the right kind of strength for handstand push ups?
    Can you kick up against the wall? If yes, work on holding a handstand for 30 seconds to a minute and then try lowering down as far as you can and pressing back up. There's your start. The biggest problem most people encounter is the fear of inverting. Kick up and be a man about it!

    wow.... i want to start moving toward handstand push ups... how can i build my strength up to do this.... I can do 25 pull ups consistently... i bench 315 lbs max, so i have strength but i know I will need technique.. please help

    learning to unicycle (which i learned in a week and a half) dramatically improved my balance and helped me out with handstand pushups

    My dad was a body builder and now in his 50's having joint problems. 3 disks in his neck are completely worn away. I'm a country man and would love to get bulked up, but fear the same physical problems later on in life. I use to build a little early on in life and already showing signs of cartilage issue in my hands (dealing cards in the casino's for some time). The question is; does anyone have ideas, diet ect which might mitigate the side effects? I've heard eating chicken cartilage will help and it has, but I think I would have to consume much more then the occasional chicken wing to rebuild and restore my tendons and joints. I've also tried Knox gelatin which I don't like the texture or after affect it has on my food. Any suggestions?

      If you use proper form and have no bone diseases, that shouldn't happen. Unless you're also at a calcium deficiency.
