I love watching you and Blue’s journey. My 11 y/o chocolate Lab has Copper Storage Disease. It’s hard knowing he’s sick but we are trying to let him live his best life. You take such wonderful care of Blue. Warrior on!! 💙
You should get Blue a apple air tag collar , just in case he chases a rabbit or something and either gets lost or god for bid hurt you can use your phone to find him .. thats what i do with my dog when we go on a camping fishing trip , just gives you a piece of mind knowing you can always find him 👍
Airtags rely on an apple device being nearby to update the location... They're better than nothing, for sure, but a true GPS collar (like the Fi I think it's called) would probably be better suited for them, I think.
@@JarodWilkerson i can be at the lake and find my air tags miles and miles away.. they rely on your phones connection , if you have service on your phone they work. The air tag is just a receiver that gets pinged from the satellite your phone is getting its connection from .. trust me i wouldn’t lie.. try one you will see . Thats why people put them in their car in case it gets stolen .. they can find their car , that is the whole purpose for their being created .. try one you will see.
@@PhatboyHD88 I'm aware, I have some Airtags. They will always show the last location that was recorded when you look in the app, but they do indeed need a compatible Apple device nearby to update the location accurately. That's literally just how they work. If the dog moves away from an apple device, the location wont be accurate. This information is easily obtained by looking at the specs of Airtags the Find My network. GPS is far more accurate.
I have to say that I just realized two things. I know it might not be such a big deal but I would feel worry some sleeping while my dogs is out in the middle of nowhere thinking an eagle might pick him up or a snake might bite him. Two, I would buy myself one of those portable gas stoves for camping and I'm sure you can make some yummy food there. Keep up the great work.
to be a fair an eagle could never swoop down and pick up her dog. Its a full size aussie. Now a puppy, that's different. 2nd, dogs are very smart and an aussie is even smarter than normal dogs. I'm sure her dog would not go near a snake or even attempt to attack one. It would keep its distance. Even if a snake somehow snuck up on her dog, they have better senses/hearing than us humans. Remember dogs derive from wolves. Her dog is at probably at peace and at home when he's out there.
I give you a tip from the shop ; Disconnect negative- clamp first !! When you reinstall the battery connect positive + clamp first and negative- clamp last !
For future reference, always connect your positive first and your negative last. This prevents any arcing or explosion in case you accidentally hit metal while tightening positive.
This video felt like a throwback to your old Subaru videos, where you'd just be hanging out at campsite, playing with the dog, editing, cooking (laptop playing some podcast in the background), running into town etc. I kinda missed those more mundane 'day in the life of' type vids.
OMG a vanlifer (well, technically an Overlander) who isn't a vegan who basically lives on avocado toast and kale! A stereotype (or cliche? meme?) destroyed by chicken sausages and a meat and raw egg-loving Sheltie! Major points earned here. And note that I love avocado, toast and kale and all the other vegan standbys. It's just that, well, it's gotten to be such a tired cliche (stereotype? meme?) and someone had to put it to rest, and that would be you and Blue. Extra points for the new battery and tool kit!
I have a Service Dog, whom I love soooo much, but I just have to say that Blue makes me so happy. I love seeing him happy and when he's in a cuddly mood, he really does look like the perfect dog. Now don't tell Bailey I said that.
I've been told that the uv rays from sunlight degrade a tire. Perhaps a cover for the spare on the hood? Only drawback is that critters like to live in the cover.
Watching Blue running and playing via the Bubby Cam is the absolute best thing ever. ❤ I noticed you used Rao pasta. You should also try Rao marinara sauce; it's restaurant quality and all I ever buy. I feel about it the way you feel about the North Pole Snickerdoodle coffee....lol.

Your landrover reminds me of the one I used to drive in the British Army. We used to drive them to West Germany as it was then, in the middle of the winter! Did not have many creature comforts but it was very reliable. We had the soft top petrol versions then.
I love Bubby! Every time I see an Australian shepherd, I say Bubby!! lol Bubby is so loved by many. You are a great care taker for him. ❤ He’s lucky to have you and you’re lucky to have him. Together, you can conquer the world! 🌎 🙌🙏

Soooo love that BubbyCam! Oh . . .that Utah sign welcomes me back from Gunnison CO every summer when I go coach runners at Western State. I know every blade of cheatgrass there . . . . .
Just found your channel and I’m already hooked! Wish I could have done what you are doing! You do it girl! I also love that you love your dog so much that you are going to great lengths to get him cancer treatments. You seem to be an amazing person. Keep doing IT! Be careful, and have FUN!
A little tip when disconnecting/connecting batteries. ALWAYS disconnect the negative first. And with a dual system like you have, on both negative. When installing ALWAYS connect positive first. If you do the opposite, the risk is that the wrench get in contact with ground, which is mostly the whole car. That WILL make a short circuit, which might be just a spark if you are lucky, or a red glowing hot wrench/tool or a battery catching fire. People have put their cars on fire that way, or got seriously burned.
I believe all jet boil lids have a strainer built into the top of them (at least mine does), which could help you strain your noodle easier😊 hopefully yours does too and it could save you lots of noodles 💚
Hey Maria I have a question. Now that you are a certified mechanic ...... My blinkers stoped working yesterday . I added blinker fluid however I overfilled the reservoir . Will that cause a problem ? ? ? .
I haven't watched a video of yours for about a year....didn't realize, but apparently youtube unsubscribed me! First time this has happened to me! So wow, I missed a whole year of videos and your channel blew up!! Congrats on that! I have a lot of catching up to do, but I'm glad to see you're still around, and I hope you and your dog are doing alright!
Also, regarding showering. Have you looked into a shower/toilet awning unit like KickAss or IronMan makes. Pretty compact when closed up along the side of the truck, really quick to setup. Couple that with one of the USB rechargable battery powered shower units and a 2 gal collapsible bucket and you can have a shower whenever you have the water capacity on board.
For the shower Idea, you can do a Australian shower with is a waterproof cloth and strainer hanging from a tree or higher item. Just fill the container full of water and hang up. It will be cold but will give you the sensation of a shower. Tarps wrapped around to give you privacy if need it.
@03:41 @roaming reckless be careful not to allow the socket wrench to touch any metal while tightening the positive battery post. You’ll be in for a sparkling surprise if you do.
Maria, SO glad to see you get your new battery and some TOOLS! YAY! And Bubby's sister?? OMG! This episode was full of good things! Can't wait till the next video! and congratulations on your OVR feature!!
OMG!!! Congratulations on the new addition to your traveling family. I am so excited now for the next video. Congratulations on the OVR cover as well, that is great. Now I have to look for it and find it. I usually don’t go anywhere on Sunday’s except to walk the pups, but this may get me out of the house.
Watching you go from stuck in a snowstorm in one video to the next you're in shorts and t-shirt in a desert. This is why I love your content! And blue is just the absolute cutest ❤
OMG. I know you love the cold but, with these past couple months are you not so glad to be warm and chilling in shorts? Blue looks so amazing and happy. Love you guys. Health and Happiness to you both Ria
Might consider taking PO to The Great British Auto Show at Stowe Vermont. Kinda like Sturgis bike week but for antique / new British cars. Every September.
The way i started tearing up!!! I’m so so excited for you, i’ve been watching since you came here to alaska, it was awesome watching you rome around my home state to places i’ve never been. But to a sister blue , it’s going to be so much fun!!!!
Try adding some of the pasta water to the sauce to help thin/ thicken it with the starchy water. Starting to plan my trip around the states for next year
When i lived in my suv I bought those babywipes or the hospital bath cliths. And took a head to tie shower every morning. Just bag them up and throw away. Cover your windows while bathing. Made living in the suv so much better. Used a couple of small bottles of water outside to wash and rinse my hair. Could not wash hair like that on colder days but warm days was fine.
What I've learned from these videos is that I love my little stationary mobile home in my senior living area in the Southern California desert. I work on improving the home every year. I have a community center with golf and pools. I have stores within a mile and not as much traffic as the bigger cities. Even if I was younger, I would never do what you are doing unless I was forced to. I'm glad you enjoy it. Great videos.
Gotta LOVE that blue's breakfast has more ingredients & is an actual recipe, compared to your own meals! CHEF RIA scores big time, way better than burnt burritos
I was about to say you need yourself a tool kit. That would have saved you last time lol. I have a husky tool set too I got the bigger one but the one you have should definitely help in case of emergency. I would also recommend getting a large breaker bar and a special socket for the lugs on your wheels. Those are hard to take off with a small hand ratchet.
Just a tip, ALWAYS put your ground cable on LAST... ALWAYS hook up your positive cables FIRST... That way you will never short out a tool tightening up a terminal... Great job swapping out batteries. not too many women will attempt to do that themselves. Kudos to you...
Since you store a spare tire on the bonnet, I would recommend custom hood struts installed this will help you tremendously . Not expensive, I own a 04 Land Rover Discovery 2 lots of owners install them on there own.
Hey Maria and Blue! I hope your truck behaves! I've scene window covers that you can attach to your window....you wake up and remove it. With minimal scraping....but the snow just falls off. Be safe. ❤

She could use the coffee one she has, maybe?
Hey Maria I have a question.
Now that you are a certified mechanic ...... My blinkers stoped working yesterday . I added blinker fluid however I overfilled the reservoir . Will that cause a problem ? ? ? .
Nice! Hope another Aussie! Now the chaos in Poe begins lol.
The vlog has been up for 13 minutes and she already has 1268 views.
Atta girl!!!

@roaming reckless
be careful not to allow the socket wrench to touch any metal while tightening the positive battery post. You’ll be in for a sparkling surprise if you do.
Maria, SO glad to see you get your new battery and some TOOLS! YAY! And Bubby's sister?? OMG! This episode was full of good things! Can't wait till the next video! and congratulations on your OVR feature!!
I have been binge watching this for like over n hour. I really like her bubbly personality and upbeat attitude ❤️❤️💕
Maria+mechanic = super mom! Love ya!
I just discovered you within the last week and I am OBSESSED!
OMG. I know you love the cold but, with these past couple months are you not so glad to be warm and chilling in shorts? Blue looks so amazing and happy. Love you guys. Health and Happiness to you both Ria
Check into getting some gas struts for your hood. Got some for my Tacoma and it makes lifting the hood so much easier.
Love you both so much!! I've never seen a dog so devoted to their owner. Blue is so precious and gorgeous.
And soon will be watching 3 of you! ❤❤❤
Might consider taking PO to The Great British Auto Show at Stowe Vermont. Kinda like Sturgis bike week but for antique / new British cars. Every September.
Everyone talks about the bubby cam - but it just makes me smile 😀
wow i am so proud of you guys and so so so excited you got into OVR, I started to tear up when you were talking about it. Love you guys
OMG… the curly/wavy hair is on another level! Safe driving and hugs for Bubby! Greetings from Germany!🍻👍🏻
Starting to plan my trip around the states for next year
OVR magazine also has a digital subscription available. Your issue was the one they were showing.
Good morning Maria and blue, watching Monday, April 8 5:33 AM getting ready for work. Good to see you.
That portable water faucet thing is really neat. I’ve never seen one of those before.
Gotta LOVE that blue's breakfast has more ingredients & is an actual recipe, compared to your own meals! CHEF RIA scores big time, way better than burnt burritos
The best battery you can get. Interstate. Praying for you and blue 🙏
Just love you. I also use plates and sometimes other bowls to drain noodles. I live in a house just hate washing strainers 😂
Doggie #2 is coming!!! 😊 I can't wait to see her!
Blue is so blessed to have a mama like you. Blue is too cute.
running and his ears flapping 😅😅😅
6:20 shooting star! That's a beautiful place
Lolololol when the bag ripped… haha good thing your car is your home!
Bubby's ears in the cam were so cute! No wonder he gets so tired!
Hi Ria! Lifting that hood with that spare on it is like you going to the gym, where ever you are. Love tour Channel ❤️
Since you store a spare tire on the bonnet, I would recommend custom hood struts installed this will help you tremendously . Not expensive, I own a 04 Land Rover Discovery 2 lots of owners install them on there own.
Mr. Blue eats way better than i. Always good to see the three of you traveling. Thank you . “ 🙏 “
I genuinely find these videos amazing. From the survival instincts to the knowledge of making sure to check fluids in poe. Always great content
Hey Maria and Blue! I hope your truck behaves! I've scene window covers that you can attach to your window....you wake up and remove it. With minimal scraping....but the snow just falls off. Be safe. ❤
Just got my sweet RR Tie dye hoodie and tumbler! I think this is my new favorite hoodie 😊
