As the owner of several full-size Glocks, I do appreciate these videos and have purchased several items from the GS during the past 5 years or so.
I don't mean to come here and throw shade on Lenny but after building about 20 different Glocks over the years I have to say you can't beat the Brownells barrel for the money.
It's $109 right now and you do have to buy a thread protector but that's about another 10 bucks. Essentially half the cost of OEM with no noticeable difference in fit, finish, or accuracy. You'll thank me later. 👍
A Gen5 17 barrel absolutely CAN go in any G19. That was the change in the Gen5 17 barrel. They went to the smaller G19/26 lugs which is why it’s not backwards compatible with Gen 1-4 17’s but WILL work in 19’s. They’re used in “19L” builds all the time.

The other very important thing to do with any new barrel is inspect the bore / run a CLP dampened patch through it. There may be bits of machined metal remaining in it, other debris, though not likely.
I need to come back to the store, I just love the place. Every time I drive from Alabama it is worth it.
Glad I got the Glock 19x mos, it came with the longer threaded barrel, not much more than the 17, 47, 19 or 19x, cheaper than buying the barrel after market.
The thread protector will not walk off, at the range? My shadow systems uses a O ring to keep it from unscrewing. I was looking for a good compensator, and barrel combo that will not give issues. I like the double diamond barrels, I get a tighter group since I replaced the glock oem in my 43x. So I am looking to up grade the 43x and 19 gen5 possibly with a muzzle break.
The Gen 5 Glock threaded barrels have a slot/cutout for you to add an o-ring if you desire. I have an o-ring on mine.

$250 for a threaded barrel? I didn't pay that much for my police trade in G22 (for the whole gun!). I paid $60 for an aimsurplus barrel and it shoots great.

@@billrowan1957 You sound like the guys that tell you not to shoot steel case ammo out of an ar15 because it will mess up your barrel. God forbid I have to replace my barrel after 10k rounds. I'd be willing to bet this $60 barrel will outlast the time it takes until I get a gen 6, 7, 8, or whatever. I'll take the extra $200 I saved and buy about 1000rds to put through it. You wanna spend $250 for the Glock engraving be my guest

Is there a such thing as a threaded barrel for the 43X?
I know this is a very beginner question, but I have been looking at Glocks and I know the 19 is the frame I want. can you do a video comparing a gen5 19 vs 19MOS vs 19x
The guts are basically the same. Want a longer grip? 19X or 45. Want a dot (you want a dot)? MOS. If you hate modernity, get a normal 19. Done.

There are threaded Double Diamond barrels for the 30S on the website. Item 1001.

I wonder when Glock Gen 6 is coming out - seems like it's about time given the history of generations. All the components for a complete, fully competitive offering is already on the table in the form of seperate components that are available for purchase. Unless of course Glock is making a huge profit on those accessories...!
