Best thing I can take from Roger, a man I’ve never met before, is to value what is around me. The people who are with me, the opportunities that are presented to me, and the love the world blesses me with. There’s so many people in our lives that could be like Roger, and as he said wisely, it’s up to the positive minds and the loving hearts of the world to fight for it.

4:41 This hit me like a punch in the gut. This guy keeps count of his lucky stars, and is very grateful to every little thing life has given him.
"In order for the world to survive, positive-minded people have to come out. We have to fight."
I've been thinking about starting my own UA-cam channel for the very same reason for awhile now- I want to create ASMR 3D Art tutorials, as silly as that sounds. My heroes in life have always been people like Bob Ross and Fred Rogers. I think I'm sold now.
Thank you for finding this, Syrmor! Thank you for introducing us to Roger 3 years ago.
I feel fortunate to have you all in my life! ❤

@@doodlemcgee I was just about to comment the same thing dude. I don’t even paint and I watch bobross on youtube still to this day, but I do indeed have a diploma in 3D animation & VFX. I’d watch the hell out of some calm 3d tutorials. People need things like that in life sometimes, some people might judge you and say it’s not a real job or whatever but who on earth would judge bob ross for giving to the world how he did? If no one makes content like that, who will? Someone needs to do it, and if you enjoy it, then you’re not wasting a single second of your life. How are you going to enjoy ice-cream or mcdonald’s with your kids if no one worked there? But people still judge you for working there.. everyone’s on their own paths, we can all give in our own ways. Thankyou Roger for being a reminder of that for me, I forget sometimes - but people like you guys are the reason the world still stands.

Roger, riddled with a terminal illness and dependent on machines and caregivers to sustain him, lived more than I have. It makes me respect those who follow their dreams, and made me understand that success is relative.

It’s a difficult job at times but it can also be rewarding and can change your life for the better. I’m glad you were there for Roger when he needed you, I’m sure you needed him in your own way also. It's something I try to ignore and I feel guilty trying to hide from the gravity of what his condition means for the future. I can't imagine what it's like in his shoes. I really can't. But I know he's trying. I talk to him even if just a little every or every other day. But I know one day he'll be gone and it could be sooner or later. It's the ticking time bomb. He's in his mid 40s and dying. It's... I don't know. Sad but has allowed him to appreciate life differently given that unique lense he has. I just don't know anymore how to feel and what to do.

Absolutely incredible... There's always a touch of grey, but this guy wanted to show people a light.

Roger wherever you made it to out there, i want you to know that you were absolutely right in saying that you could have a strong emotional bond with someone without ever meeting them physically and i also want to let you know that we miss your stories and jokes one day i hope to hear them again if i ever make it to where you are

oh my god! I used to speak to this guy through his twitch chat! he was an awesome guy, he made a really strong effort to remember who I am and my interests. I lost contact with him, and seemed to have forgotten about him. I instantly recognized his voice the moment I booted this up. I wish I could have thanked him one last time. RIP roger.
