Your music has a different but very beautiful personality when you write for this instrument and I'm so happy that you're doing it more. My gf and i performed flying colors a couple months ago and we will definitely play this one too
"knowing that no matter how hard the day has been, the sunset will always be beautiful at the end of it." this is how i know you don't live in Seattle or the UK
love this piece those cords are incredible and i just wanna thank you for everything you made me wanna play marimba when i was 12 but me and my parents didn't have the money but now im 14 and last week i bought one second hand and i wanna thank you for showing me this beautiful instrument
thanks@@AdamTanPercussion i hope you will make some new tutorials on some 4 mallet beginner techniques and while listening again i noticed how brilliant this piece actually is
Me and my friend very close friend Joel Moss (#1 Percussionist in Alaska) will be performing this in the spring time, and i will tag you with a video at that time!
I know this is intended for two vibraphones, but is it possible to perform this with two players sharing one? (I would guess no, but I figured I'd ask anyways) This piece feels reminiscent of a city skyline to me. Fantastic as always!
Could you please release a version with no talking!! I want to go to sleep listening ti this because it sounds amazing but I keep waking up at the end when you start talking 😭
I play vibraphone for my bands front ensemble, but my part feels very easy And I was just wondering if there are any things I should be able to do, or that I should work on just to give me the highest chance of getting put on marimba next year Anyone with experience in front ensemble or marimba in general can answer P.S I dont have anything against vibraphone at all, because my part is very pretty, but I just want to be able to get good enough to move up :))
i had my first season on marimba this fall, and from my experience, laterals, alternating strokes, mallet independence + strength, and chops with 2 and 4 are huge. Make sure that your heights are equal in both hands. This is what helped me, but every caption head is different. Good luck!
