Amazing review Marc. Can you please give me your professional opinion on Honda Adv 350 vs CG400 gt? Now when Honda came up with new colors for 2024, I am not sure anymore which one of these 2 to buy. Thanks a lot!
It depends if your seating position is good on the Honda. If you feel comfortable then go for the ADV. Perfect quality, better storage and way better price.
Mine makes that sound too. I think it comes from either the side stamd springs or from the center stand springs. I have also other noise that comes from the LCD frame, but not as annoying as that metal noise at 5.200 rpm....
Hallo, ich bin auf der Suche nach Forza und Xmax 2nd Hand, ihre Preise sind fast die gleichen. Meine Frage ist, welcher ist bei gleichem Preis vorzuziehen 😀 !?
In Canada you can get this model for $9500 Canadian dollars that’s $6300 euro equivalent and no one rides scooters or anything they can’t sell these at all in Canada
the video productions is outstanding the audio needs some improvement I think if you do voice over later it will sound better. what cameras did you use?
Have your Dealer figured out what was the rattling sound at 5.200 rpm yet? I think it comes from the center stand spring or side stand spring... i also have an annoying sound coming from the LCD/ Dash... Despite these annoying noises and the small storage capacity, all the rest is greater than the other 350 scooters, i had to swap a new Forza 350 with only 4 months since new, with a used C400 GT with 8 months, because the Forza made me back pain, and had not a good driving position. So far i'm very satisfied with my C400GT.
You are right the seating position is the most comfortable in the 350 range. The rattling noise comes from the rear shocks, it only appears if you have mounted the original luggage rack. There is no solution to fix it. If you have a noise behind the dash you can put some foam behind the plastic cover on the backside of the dash.
I did not see that in any of your reviews of this model or even on Shad and such pages. Is there actually an option for side bags on BMW C 400 GT / X line? Top case is for sure, but side paniers? Especially as underseat storage is joke?
I have a gravely rough sound on my back engine noise on my 2024 GT, don’t like the noise there! But good bike excellent Brakes! Is this bike you are reviewing your Bike?
Well,BMW is a BMW. It has prestige to it. If I an buying any other brand,is fine, just does not look very interesting to majority of people, expect people who knows bikes. Still I love BMW motorcycles, they look good.
I added the taller OEM windscreen to my C400gt, and it made a big difference to the wind hitting my helmet. If you are over 6 feet tall, get the taller windscreen. The scratch resistant coating is a good feature also.
?, what has happened to the bmw c400gt uploads, haven't seen much lately. You were my inspiration to purchase mine ,very informative videos that influenced my decision. Have you fallen out of favor with th c400gt?
Hi Marc. The fact this is your 3rd C400GT it obviously works for your personally (Yes, I realise one was written off). Did you try adjusting the rear shock settings if it makes any difference to the noise issue?
Hi Paul, I installed YSS shock absorbers and the noise issue is gone. Sadly they do not have a TÜV permit in Germany, so it will be expensive to get a individual permit.
@@Marc.Stones Thanks for the update. I'm happy enough with stock myself, haven't really had any issues with ride quality. Not sure I'd recognise it if I did! I'm surprised YSS do not have a TUV permit though.
I had same noise, bmw couldnt fix it. Also had locking fuel cap fail, rotary controller fail, mode selector button fail, seat difficult to close. That was on a 2022 model. Bmw too busy fixing backlog of GS recalls to care. Had a bmw rninet and load of issues with that. Bmw is bottom of the reliability table, my ducati, enfield, triumph, all more reliable, never buying bmw again. Be warned if thinking about one.
That was tough luck mysterybiker. I had a 2016 RnineT Sport and now have a C400GT from new for 17 months. Have to say, I have never had a single issue on either BMW.
@@Marc.StonesThe seat, footrests and the steering don't make a good combination, looks like they cut investment when it came to ergonomics development/ study... Despite that, the Honda 350 engine is absolutely great, no vibration and no noise!! And although less powerfull than the C400GT, the Forza 350 feels more responsive. I think it's because it's 30 Kg lighter than the BMW.
Nice overall as far as reviews, excellent camera work. But why would anyone want Chinese "ripped-off" tech. goods over German, Italian, Japanese or American. Anybody but Chinese, please. Your accent sounds Teutonic, why peddle Chinese?
who cares about heated grips and lights in underseat compartment and stuff like that, at the end the most important thing is how it rides on bumpy roads
13:09 If I have the choice between built-in-China and built-in-Europe, i would pick Euro first even tho if it is more expensive. Those asian guys are working for free and its not my problem.
Manufactured for BMW by Kymco of Taiwan which is a very experienced Scooter company. The Kymco "version" of this is an Xciting S 400i, so far as I can determine.
I have been riding for almost 20 years... starting with a 7 hands Honda 50 scooter and now ended up with a 350 scooter it's so easy, nimble, reliable and beautiful BMW C400 GT is when you at the point you want to own a scooter to replace your Ducati or Triumph you go for it however, I am based in US and we dont have Tmax here so that's not in the comparison to be precious
I'll take the Piaggio BV400. More horsepower, lighter and nearly 4K less. Servicing the Piaggio is also a lot less. Vespa/Piaggio have been masking scooters for over 70 years a lot longer than BMW. Their scooters dominate the Europe market because of their price and reliability.

The ratteling noise comes from the shock absorbers and appears only if you have the original luggage rack mounted. No solution to fix this.

The rattling noise comes from the rear shocks, it only appears if you have mounted the original luggage rack. There is no solution to fix it.
If you have a noise behind the dash you can put some foam behind the plastic cover on the backside of the dash.
Did you manage to resolve the snaring sound? The ws wasn’t able to identify the issue. thanks
Yes, it comes from the rear shocks when you have the original luggage rack mounted, this creates some kind of vibration sounds at around 5300 rpm.
@@Marc.Stones hi Marc, how did BMW fix that?
@@SwissOliver They did not fixed it. I sold the BMW
@@Scooteria thx, what a shame for BMW.
It seems like yamaha made an effort to make the xmax storage capacity a priority. Looks like there is plenty of storage on this BMW.
very good review 👍
could you try to review the clone SR4 max also to compare with this one, it would be nice
Thanks, I will try, but it is difficult to get a test bike of Voge
@@Marc.Stones maybe in germany to not compete with bmw maybe ? but in spain / greece / france etc they lend easily for review
@@Marc.Stones Yes it would be great to see a comparison with the Voge.
I did not see that in any of your reviews of this model or even on Shad and such pages. Is there actually an option for side bags on BMW C 400 GT / X line? Top case is for sure, but side paniers? Especially as underseat storage is joke?
Ah nice, 9.5K Euros! I paid almost 13K for mine here - still worth it 😅.
I have a gravely rough sound on my back engine noise on my 2024 GT, don’t like the noise there! But good bike excellent Brakes! Is this bike you are reviewing your Bike?
I had a noise which comes from the rear suspension at some rpm.
Well,BMW is a BMW.
It has prestige to it.
If I an buying any other brand,is fine, just does not look very interesting to majority of people, expect people who knows bikes.
Still I love BMW motorcycles, they look good.
How tall r u?
188 cm
Lack of storage, expense and Chinese manufacture seem to be the downsides?
Great looking scooter but way too expensive for a 350cc
You are gong to pay for the BMW brand and quality
Look at Sym or Kymco then
why BMW is not making 650gt anymore?
They just stopped making the c400 also....
No they haven’t. Still making them.
Thanks for the review. Can you tell me who makes the windshield you have on the C400GT? Thanks!
It‘s from Givi
I added the taller OEM windscreen to my C400gt, and it made a big difference to the wind hitting my helmet. If you are over 6 feet tall, get the taller windscreen. The scratch resistant coating is a good feature also.
?, what has happened to the bmw c400gt uploads, haven't seen much lately. You were my inspiration to purchase mine ,very informative videos that influenced my decision. Have you fallen out of favor with th c400gt?
Hi, I sold mine a few months ago, I was not satisfied with BMW's service and I had some vibration problems which could not be solved.
@Marc.Stones wow, sorry to hear that. Anything new on the horizon, I enjoy your videos.
I will test a few maxi scooter soon :-)
Yss, which model did you install? I use Voge SR4 Max. There is a resonance and knocking feeling in the rear, especially at low speeds and low revs.
@@nseletli I used this one: www.ebay.de/itm/325832821081
@@nseletli The noise could also come from the CVT
I had same noise, bmw couldnt fix it. Also had locking fuel cap fail, rotary controller fail, mode selector button fail, seat difficult to close. That was on a 2022 model. Bmw too busy fixing backlog of GS recalls to care. Had a bmw rninet and load of issues with that. Bmw is bottom of the reliability table, my ducati, enfield, triumph, all more reliable, never buying bmw again. Be warned if thinking about one.
Thanks for your feedback 👍🏻
That was tough luck mysterybiker. I had a 2016 RnineT Sport and now have a C400GT from new for 17 months. Have to say, I have never had a single issue on either BMW.
Great second hand scoot. Impossible to justify as a new purchase
Thanks for the rough road comment, very relevant to my situation. What scoot do you think is best for rough roads?
For rough roads maybe the Honda ADV 350 or Honda X ADV
I would have got the forza 750 🤔
I'll take kymco AK 550 with its nice twin cylinder with more power
The Honda Forza 350 is much more reliable with a better price. Even it has a electrical windscreen, better mirrors.
I did a test ride with the Honda, very good scooter, but the seating position was not comfortable for me.
In Italy 8,5K , but Forza 350 is around 7,5K so i would deffinetly prefer the BMW
Nice scoot, but too expensive.
Are you a captain sir.
سبحان الله وبحمده سبحان الله العظيم استغفرالله♥️الحمدلله
who cares about heated grips and lights in underseat compartment and stuff like that, at the end the most important thing is how it rides on bumpy roads
13:09 If I have the choice between built-in-China and built-in-Europe, i would pick Euro first even tho if it is more expensive. Those asian guys are working for free and its not my problem.
Thanks, I'll take the Forza 350 from Honda
YAMAHA XMAX IS THE WAY TO GO.
also known as the dva poloski scooter
Wait, did you just say this BMW is built in China??
Yes, it is build by Loncin in China.
Manufactured for BMW by Kymco of Taiwan which is a very experienced Scooter company. The Kymco "version" of this is an Xciting S 400i, so far as I can determine.
No, the BMW C 400 GT is manufactured by Loncin in China, same as the VOGE SR4 350
I don’t recommend it.
I have been riding for almost 20 years...
starting with a 7 hands Honda 50 scooter and now ended up with a 350 scooter
it's so easy, nimble, reliable and beautiful
BMW C400 GT is when you at the point you want to own a scooter to replace your Ducati or Triumph you go for it
however, I am based in US and we dont have Tmax here so that's not in the comparison to be precious
And looks absolutely terrible incomparision with BMW
