The song was released around 1983-84. The California Air National Guard flew F-4Es for about three years (87-90), so had to stretch the timeline a bit with the static aircraft skins.
Dude ignore the people saying the music sucks. It’s fine. People seem to think any Phantom video has to have Fortune Son or some other BS Twangy Vietnam war music. Intercepting Bear bombers during the Cold War would indeed be a Frantic Situation.
Thank you Honestly more intrigued by people's entitled attitudes more than anything. As if I personally owe them a video that meets their wants. The F-4 spent a lot of time intercepting Soviet bombers and maritime patrol craft during the 1970s and 80s. A lot of people don't realize that the US military still had over 800 phantoms in service in the early 1980s.

Nice vid. When this crap will get DMAS version? Lemme drop bombs with CCIP at least. No radar, no A/A, no radar gunsight, no ccip, no ground stab mavericks... Lemme have fun with bombs at least. Sigh...

This video was not made suit your personal tastes, or lack there of. I mean come on man, why haven't you selected your own "horrendous" music for your own videos?
I’m a simple man. I see a well-shot piece of DCS video with the F4, I click “like”.
Dude this music feels so beverly hills cop lol fits the vibe well.

A well told story about the Phantom's starring role in the Cold War.
