- During the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Porsche unveiled their brand new Le Mans 24 and WEC challenger. So here is the 911 991.2 RSR GTE in action up the famous hillclimb!

@@TheS1PikesPeak Yep, it is the same thing haha. I believe you would be thinking of the flat Vs which are different from boxers/true flats but when we refer to flat engines, we normally mean the boxer type.
My number 1 favourite look of RSR 911 and that's side exhaust 5 was so 🥰 beautiful sounds

Most recent RSR > this. Hate the sound, traditional or not. The previous RSR set the benchmark for what an NA Porsche should sound like.
Has anyone else noticed that all the GTE races with Porsche RSR's have the old RSR back with mid rear exhaust? I guess Porsche listens, we hate the side exhaust sound and they've been racing the mid exhaust 991.2. 😁👍👍👍🙏

Porsche needs to build a new 911 GT1 roadcar with this engine and exhaust, and make 100 at the end of every 911 cycle.
Seems like it’s louder than 2018/19 rsr, though not that much tone like used to be
Definetly, heard it at the Bahrain WEC 2019 and it was much louder than the previous gen RSR though arguably the sound isn't as pleasing.

There is no possible way to assess the sound of this engine unless you hear it on the racetrack at maximum RPM's. It's ridiculous to even ask the question.

sounds horrible... what happened to the sound of the engine? the boxer 6 is one of my favorite sounds and they ruined it. sounds like a 2 stroke
this is how all porsches sounded like before the 997, and nobody complained about them.
