Almost done with my first masters course for the M ed. It’s been a wonderful experience! My advisor responds quickly and in detail. My course professor is so responsive and detailed. She truly cares for us, not only as students but as learners. Dr. Aisha Siddiqa is a wonderful instructor who has helped made the transition back to school a great experience for me.
So glad you’re having a great term! Good luck with your studies 💜💜
How are the classes?
Are they video classes?
Prerecorded?
Or study materials are just provided?
Please I need insight on how the classes are.
@@godspoweromuji Hi, they are good. You are not given any recorded videos or live lessons, just the study materials and reading lists. Some professors do post videos to go over a few of the big ideas, but so far I’ve only had one or two.
@@godspoweromuji most of the professors are very kind and helpful. You just have to be willing to put forth the effort and learn the material. I always say now, just try one class and see how it feels.
All the way from Tanzania, I fell delighted to be part of the UoPeople community

I would like to ask you about the University of peopls can i?
Only ten courses to finish thanks uopeople
Great Opportunity🎉❤
I really like the pattern and challenges at UoPeople, it let student develop their critical thinking.
Fazlur Rahman Khan please let me know about the challenges. I can't see it being much of a problem for younger students without needing to get a job. But for people working, and have kids. It isn't so easy. Is it an assignment per week. So 7 days to do an assignment, this right?
It is actually a LOT of work. There is new reading material each week which could take you a day to get through and another day to do research. Each course has 3 assignments per week and 6 assignments to grade for which you have to do some research to grade it fairly. If you take 2 courses at a time to finish in 2 or 4 years, it will be very difficult, even full time. There is a test week 3 and 6 and an exam end of week 8. I went to a 'regular' uni before and it was not a quarter of the work here.
That is very amazing.
Great description
Great place to study! I love #UoPeople!
I'm already on it !
keep going !you're the revolution of the education with our digital world.!
After that I would like to rise inquiry here.how can one take bachelor degree within three years and I year in MBA based on your current policy and it says 4and 2* years respectfully.
can you elaborate that little more specific?
Hi Abdi Hamiid, thanks for your kind words. Undergraduate students who maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or greater from their first term of studies with us onwards may register for up to three courses per term and graduate (MBA) students who maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.75 or greater from their first term of studies with us onwards may register for up to three courses per term. If you fall into this category of students you might be able to complete the Bachelor's program in about 3 years and the MBA program in 1 year.
Very good question, and glad to know this here. Thank you.
@@uopeople thanks for your response
This really helped ❤️ Thanks UoPeople
My last semester. Yeah!
All the best as you round up your program, Anna!
How can I register
...just through with my high school grade, but I'm facing a lot of issues financially to further more. How can I be part of the scholarship program.
Please reach out to admissions@uopeople.edu for further assistance with registration 💜
Am so excited to start to build my qualifications with u .
Is only the online classes free? Because I would rather go to a college where I can actually sit in a class room and ask the professor questions when I don’t understand something. Along with being able to go to tutoring after class hours.
Hi Mycoolboo1, please note that all classes and exams/assessments with us are done online-only. Please note that we are tuition-free, not free. As the world’s first non-profit, tuition-free university, we ask for minimal processing fees to help keep our university sustainable. To learn about our processing fees, please click here: www.uopeople.edu/tuition-free/processing-fees/ - kindly note we offer grants and scholarships to undergraduate students/applicants (as many as we have the funds for) who cannot afford these fees provided they do not already have a degree.
Great work 😊

Is the accreditation is recognized in Philippines?
Hi SherrylJoy, please note that universities are typically accredited in the countries where they are established. Since we are established in the US, we are only accredited in the US by the DEAC. The WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) [a regional accreditor] has also recently determined that we are 'Eligible' to apply for accreditation with them. Please feel free to reach out to the ministry of education in Philippines regarding the acceptability of US accredited degrees there. You will also be able to request that our registrar notarizes your degree and transcript for you here in the US when you graduate from our program, before we mail your degree and transcript to your house address.
Is the accreditations recognized in Canada?
Hi Michele, yes it should. We are accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency.
We have not pursued accreditation in any other country - that said, in many countries, being accredited in the U.S. means that it is highly respected. Please visit the US Department of Education university search link below and type ‘University of the People’ into the Name of Institution field and click the search button to confirm our accreditation status:
ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx
Alternatively, please visit directorysearch.deac.org/school/detail.aspx?schoolid=73 to verify. Or check www.chea.org/university-people
You should also reach out to the ministry or department of education in your country to find out if our degree will be accepted there.
@@uopeople thank you! I will be looking at what you have to offer!! 😊
Hello! do you offer a master's degree for computer science.
Hi Abdelkarim, we do not offer a Computer Science Master's program at this time. We offer Associate and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science, Health Science, Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program and a Master of Education in Advanced Teaching (M.Ed.) program. For more information about our degree programs, feel free to visit our website: www.uopeople.edu/programs/
How long we need to complete bachelors degree?
Hi Little Things, if you take 2 courses per term, you will be able to complete the Bachelors program in 4 years.
If i graduate from Uop can i continue my studies msc in other university
Hi سبعة ٧, yes, your UoPeople Bachelor's degree might be used to apply for admission to a Master's program at other institutions and some of our students have done that so far including Mr. Livinus Nweke who graduated with a first class (110/110 Sum cum Laude) from the Computer Science Master's program at Sapienza Universita di Roma, Italy (please see link: www.peplnews.net/livinus-nweke-first-class-italy/). That said, kindly note that the acceptability of the degree you earn at University of the People is at the complete discretion of the institution you present the degree to for further education purposes. If you are looking to use your UoPeople degree to apply for another institution's Master's program, please verify that our degree will be acceptable at the other institution by asking them directly.
@@uopeople Thanks for this reply, you guys inspired me to study harder :)
So you can travel to learn?
You learn remotely at UoPeople!
Please can you use 1 year to complete Master's degree in the university of the people ??
Hey Moses, yes you can: if you're a student with a high CGPA in the program (3.75 or above) you'll be permitted to take up to 4 courses per term -- in that case, you'll be able to complete the program within a year.
Is anyone here from the UK ? Are the degrees accredited ?
Our accreditation is a clear indication of the academic excellence and rigorous standards of UoPeople. That being said, we can’t guarantee that our degrees or credits will be accepted by other international academic institutions or employers, since this is determined by each institution individually. Many of our students and graduates report continuing their education at universities including NYU, MIT, the University of Auckland (New Zealand), the University of Nairobi (Kenya), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) and many more. UoPeople graduates have used their education to work at top international companies and organizations such as Google, IBM, Apple, Dell, Microsoft, Amazon and even the United Nations! 💜
How should i graduate my undergraduate degree in 3 years ???
Hi Ahmed, students who maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 or greater from their first term of studies with us onwards may register for up to three courses per term: if you fall into this category of students you might be able to complete your program in about 3 years.
can I persue other undergraduate course in a different college being enrolled in undergraduate course at UoPeople?
Thanks for your question Janardhan. Yes you can, if you believe you can cope with the rigor of taking both programs simultaneously. We hope this answers your question.
My dream is to get a full scholarship at the University of the People. ❤
Hi Mohammed, you'll see the option to apply for a scholarship in your portal after you've been admitted. You'll see the process to use here: www.uopeople.edu/tuition-free/scholarships/

Dear sir,
I am applying for full scholarship because I am from very poor family I bear my all costs by myself. And I am not able to pay any payment even that I was'nt pay 60$ for Application form so on UO people awarded me 60$ scholorships for my Application form. I had done diploma is a associate engineer here in pakistan it is equal to higher secondary education (F.sc).
I am not refugee not diplaced person i have my own house there are no government taxes on our homes because it's tribal area and the people of that is very poor I am also belong to very poor family financially they can'nt support me more in my expenses. i request you sir that give me Full scholarship that I continue my study here other wise it's impossible for me to study here without scholarship.
I shall be very thankfull to you for your help to give me Full undergraduate scholarship.
thank you dear sir
No reply from Uop that means , your hopes is crushed. Same thing with me, being poor has so much dis advantages but it doesn't mean we are not academically inclined. I think seeking another option is in order. For me college education when you are poor is an illusion. I seldom hear rich kid unable to finished college because they aren't mentally up to the task,in fact I hear stories of kids and student who have excelled in their primary education but couldn't pursue more because of their financial status.
I need some one who finish it
