Some people also use the powdered laundry detergent from the dollar tree, Fresh n Clean, instead of the bar soap.

I use a similar recipe but in liquid gel form. I can make a 5-gallon bucket full that lasts me a whole year.

New subscriber here. I'm gonna give ur recipe a shot. I made a recipe a long, long time ago & it faded our darks. Made our clothes smell sour if u sweated the least little bit. We hated it. So I never made any more. So I'm gonna give ur recipe a try. If I ever come across the recipe again that I used I'll come back & give it to ya. Maybe u can figure out what caused all that.

Oh I hope it works the one I originally tried did have way more of the oxygenated detergent and baking soda but when I reduced that amount I feel the clothes don't get all gray and faded and for sure nothing smells sour with arm and hammer crystals lol

Yes us too we are a messy family of three but we have 2 pups that get everything dirty and I wash donations almost daily so the machine is almost always running this will last you a year its a true blessing ❤

do you feel like the soap dissolves? the premade flakes seem big compared to grating the bar on the fine side of a grater.

just got an HE front loader...do i put in a scoop directly into the drum then add cloths and start the wash process? or cloths first then sprinkle this on then start wash? really appreciate the help
Thank you for going into detail about using certain amounts of baking soda and the stain powder it helped me decide how much I wanted to use for my recipe I did it pretty similarly but I only used like 15 oz of scent booster from dollar tree and two 15 oz bottles of the blue base cleaner I haven't been able to find the orange one lately (if I did I would've used one blue one orange like you) two whole big bars of zote and I added a 4.4 lb bag of foca laundry detergent too (something about foca makes it extra nice for some reason idk what it is)

Hey sweetie, those arm and hammer crystal are not fabric softener, they are for fragrance only.
The crystals are made from Epsom salt which helps to soften fabric
Where do you get the LA Awesome Oxygen as I haven't been able to find it at a dollar store in powder form?
What about for hairspray stains?
I don’t think the beads are fabric softeners, they are supposed to be scented beads to help scent your laundry.

Oh no ofcoorse they are the least clean but you don't have to add scent boosters . I always do but arm and hammer is cleaner than some others I've checked

Biz is basically the equivalent of those dollar tree stain remover as long as you're using the same amount she is (2 pounds) I don't see why not
