@@AgeFitwithTess Hi Tess, I have diagnosed to Lumbar spondylosis since yesterday. Disc bulge at L3-L4, L4-L5, L5-S1. Faceted atropathy at these levels. Can do these exercise?
Hi ya. I have been diagnosed with lumbar spondylosis and L4 L5 disc dessicated in my mri scan. Will this exercise be beneficial for me. I work as a nurse, and my job involves lifting patients and moving beds. Please if you could provide any suggestions. I am taking antioxidants as prescribed by doctors.
Yes its really good for me when I start learning your exercises.. i got a lower backpain.. when I try to search intervention.. your the first one I watch.. then I try.. and it helps me.. glad to see you..
Those are all good exercises but can you clarify the bending and twisting exercise, please. I googled what to avoid with lumbar spondylosis and this came up
No problem Chris. These exercises are to assist with pain management and range of motion or mobility so the aim is to complete exercises with minimal pain. If you experience increased pain with movement in a certain direction, typically that movement would be avoided for the purposes of this routine. Hope that helps.
Hi Shobhana, great question. Typically the pain and symptoms related to lumbar spondylosis can be reduced and/or managed with exercise over the long term. Symptom reduction and exercise progression over the long term are usually good goals to have.
Hi , I just wanted to know if doing theraphy for lumbar spondylosis will cure it? Will it be gone? Or will it just manage the pain? Thank u so much and I hope you can reply to this.
No, it does not cure it, it only manages the pain to the barest minimum. But still, medications will also help to reduce the pain. Presently my mother is suffering from this, she goes for therapy 3 times every week. It will take a while but pain will definitely subside.
@@kayodejosiaholad1433 Thank u so much, but what I am curios really about is if this spondylosis has the chance to remove permanently and be back to its normal comdition ? Or it will really stay ?
@@bernadettearroyo9628 Yes, it can come back to its normal form or even worse than before if treatment stops or if treatment is not taken as prescribe by the doctor. Presently I am out of town for business and my mother has not been on treatment (Therapy, Massage). I will have to go back to make sure all this is done, if not, the pain increases.
Thank you for watching Luvkush. Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Exercise may not necessarily cure or reverse the spondylosis but can help with pain management, movement, and strength to improve symptoms. How are you going with exercise?
Hi Denis. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I understand you mean grade 1 spondylolisthesis? The exercises for spondylolisthesis can differ from spondylosis exercises. Have you been provided any exercises by a Physio or doctor yet?
Ok great. Yes, these exercises are for lumbar spondylosis. In general, the aim for range of motion exercises such as these is to move with no or minimal aggravation of symptoms. Yes. Getting back to usual activity including the gym or running is often achievable depending on the severity of symptoms and if managed appropriately.
Hi Deepshikha, it may depend on the requirements for joining defence or the requirements of the specific job you would be doing + any activity limitations you experience with spondylosis. How does spondylosis impact your phyical capabilities?
Hi Shakhensana, the morning or after sitting for long periods can often be a good time to complete range of motion exercises like these, to assist in reducing stiffness.
Hi Shakhensana. Good question. Typically with spondylosis if completing exercise for pain management you would avoid the movements or directions that aggravate the pain or make symptoms worse and work on the movements that help to ease the pain. If completing to gain range of motion, sometimes it is possible to work within pain limits, however still avoiding movements that cause sharp or more severe pain.
