    Those are all good exercises but can you clarify the bending and twisting exercise, please. I googled what to avoid with lumbar spondylosis and this came up

    • @AgeFitwithTess
      @AgeFitwithTess  3 роки тому +3

      No problem Chris. These exercises are to assist with pain management and range of motion or mobility so the aim is to complete exercises with minimal pain. If you experience increased pain with movement in a certain direction, typically that movement would be avoided for the purposes of this routine. Hope that helps.

    • @kayodejosiaholad1433
      @kayodejosiaholad1433 3 роки тому +2

      No, it does not cure it, it only manages the pain to the barest minimum. But still, medications will also help to reduce the pain. Presently my mother is suffering from this, she goes for therapy 3 times every week. It will take a while but pain will definitely subside.

      Hi Shakhensana. Good question. Typically with spondylosis if completing exercise for pain management you would avoid the movements or directions that aggravate the pain or make symptoms worse and work on the movements that help to ease the pain. If completing to gain range of motion, sometimes it is possible to work within pain limits, however still avoiding movements that cause sharp or more severe pain.

    This is a story because I am stretching at home do to me not going to therapy at the moment
    I had surgery when I was 14
    Spinal fusion all the way threw my back and my lumbar area has be left untouched so I could have range of motion bending my pelvis and moving my hips.
    I am now 20 and randomly I guess from stress I've gained spondylosis/stress fracture in my lower back
    It has now been 4 months without lifting anything over 5 lbs, no running, or bending over
    I havent been to therapy yet but I will be going soon
    My ortho said my fracture should of been healed by now
    But I lose feeling in my one if my legs sometime and just fall
    My legs are so stiff along with my arms
    I am a very active person and this has been the worst life experience ever and it's very scary as well
    I live by myself so this is really hard for me

      i just want to ask if lumbar spondylosis is permanent? or it is curable by chiropractic or any other medical practice?

    • @AgeFitwithTess
      @AgeFitwithTess  3 роки тому

      Good question. Typically the aim is to manage or improve symptoms such as pain rather than a cure.

      Hi Sutriani. Thank you for watching. Usually what is tolerable/ without pain increasing. Over time typically for strength exercises 3 sets of 8-12 reps. Range of motion exercises reps may increase to 12 to 15.
