Love it, bring back memories in high school, a friend getting an old Studebaker running. He had to buy a battery and got an 8 volt battery and adjusted the voltage regulator to give her a little more juice.
That is the 1st engine I ever worked on, lots of fun memories. You can use a matchstick cover to gap your points if you want, should be 35 on plug gap. Noticed it wasn't burning any oil which is a giant plus. Ok thanks for the video, yep memories......
With old vehicles like this Mike you should start with changing all the plugs, leads and dizzy cap, points and condenser, then the coil, the fuel lift pump is pretty basic, then if its getting fuel it should start theres nothing else to stop it.
The coil is upside down because it is made for Austrailia. Give her a rag and cleaner so while she waits for you to do under hood stuff she can clean the dash ! The engine looks like it was runnimg yesterday.
The bed looks just right on it, although it was cool on Kenny. Now, Remember that it's Yard Art/Andrea's planter. Park it where she wants it and get back to work on Smokey.
Andrea's commentary is a hoot. "My planter just drove away." 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah, I think the planter just became the next project truck. I keep saying that brakes are way over rated. Just get it moving, something will eventually stop it.
Great video Mike and Andrea glad you were able to get it fixed so it runs and drives. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Mike and Andrea.
Nice seeing old truck saved not crushed amazing how old things last
It sure is fun watching you Diesel guys work on gas stuff.
And she drives too!!.. I hope you consider restoring her someday..

Cheack. The cap points.
Think this be another truck restoration on the cards it seems to run good and to good to be parked up as a flower garden bed

This just goes to prove, old trucks never die, they were built to last, and Mike, NO you can't put Jake brakes on it, lmao
Thought a coil had to be upright they have oil in them it no good been up side down thst what been told anyway
It started because 4 Corvettes were rooting for their Great Grandpa to come alive again! 😅
Fiona runs again!!
