Hey, I recently got a double roller for my LQ9 and I don't know what oil pump and timing cover I should get because I heard there were clearance issues.
I Did! Turns out I bought a corvette water pump and harmonic balancer with a truck accessory bracket kit lol. But the truck bracket kit uses LS1 PS Assembly with truck Balancer and water pump!

I got basic ones of Amazon, I had no clearance issues what so ever
Did you ever figure out the issue with oil pump spline sticking out a bit having same issue balancer won’t line up with other pulley’s??

So if your installing this on a truck motor you should be fine right?
@treece8026
What style timing cover did you run with, the gen 3 or gen 4 with the cam senser?
Gen 3 oem
You should get button bolt to clear the cover...
Can you explain that please?
What timing chain kit did you use?
I believe it's a Meilings off Amazon!
Why use a DBL? A good single roller is stronger.. more links
Twice the links = 2x protection
did u put the number 1 cylinder to top dead center put the lower sprocket on 0 and set dot to dot... yes u need to grind down the timing chain cover
Yes and no, nothing scrapes. Everything i researched said no material needed to be removed.
@Treece80 ohh ok u doing on ls2 that's prob why on ls1 you have to grind either way though top dead center lower sprocket on 0 and then set dot to dot
If you know ls engines double rollers is no go for em just my .02 cents
double chain, double the strength
