The republican collaborators r helping trump take over our govt. The Dems r acting like Trump is a real president and r not fighting for us, they don't know what to do.

q how they are hurt is not how I will personally be hurt, though. If you get your way, I’m still going to be successful, if they get their way, I’ll still be the same. I don’t think voting with “everyone’s interest” at heart is inherently a good idea. People are still going to be crabs in a bucket, even if we went full communism, because we still are going to have “haves” and “have nots”. To become a presidential nominee, I feel like your background should play a part. Trump is giving medical advice, yet we can't even confirm his taxes. You have to go to school for a total of 8 years to become a doctor. Just so that you can save people, yet you need no education to be a president. The nominees should start earlier in election year. They should at least be in school for 9 months before they can even be on a ballot. Trump didn't even know what Juneteenth was, how can you protect Americans and speak for them when you don't know the history. I'm not saying school like math, reading, science. I'm talking about empathy training so that you empathize with other religions or belief. I'm talking about population classes, so you can't say I didn't know about systemic racism. So you can't say I didn't know about the KKK or the white nationalist. They need a worldview class so they're all up-to-date on what's happening in the world from each culture. They also need an options to anger class, so that they're able to control their emotions with people who may not agree with them. Test scores should be posted 90 days before the election. Without a passing grade you won't be able to be on the ballot. I can't just walk into a hospital and put on Scrubs and go work on someone and have their life in my hands. Why are presidents able to have little to no education but still be a president?
Nothing wrong with political parties - it's the elected officials who put Party politics above people and country. The GOP officials have become revolting in their vomit of lies.
The question they ought to be asked is: “So does this mean you don’t believe you should ever be held accountable for what you say?"

Infamous Democrat quotes regarding filling the Supreme court vacancy:
"When there is a vacancy on the SCOTUS, the President is to nominate someone, the Senate is to consider that nomination... There's no unwritten law that says that it can only be done on off-years. That's not in the Constitution text." - Obama in 2016
"I'm going to do my job. I'm going to nominate somebody... It's not as if the Senate calendar is so full that we do not have time to get this done." - Obama in 2016
"In my 36-year tenure in the United States Senate - nearly half of it as chairman or ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee - I presided or helped preside over nine nominees to the Supreme Court, from both Republican and Democratic presidents. That’s more than anyone else alive today.
In every instance we adhered to the process explicitly laid out in the Constitution: The president has the constitutional duty to nominate; the Senate has the constitutional obligation to provide advice and consent. It is written plainly in the Constitution that both presidents and senators swear an oath to uphold and defend.
That’s why I was so surprised and saddened to see Republican leaders tell President Obama and me that they would not even consider a Supreme Court nominee this year. No meetings. No hearings. No votes. Nothing. It is an unprecedented act of obstruction. And it risks a stain on the legacy of all those complicit in carrying out this plan. I would ask my friends and colleagues - and all those who love the Senate - to think long and hard before going down this road." - Joe Biden 2016
“I would go forward with a confirmation process as chairman, even a few months before a presidential election, if the nominee were chosen with the advice, and not merely the consent, of the Senate, just as the Constitution requires.” - Joe Biden 2016

Term limits are for lazy electorate. Do the work of electing the most qualified, the most upright, the most competent. Each office. Each election. Term limits can toss out good people from office too.
And who would have vote to enact term limits? Oh....right..... :-(
I second that! Not only they should have term limits but age limits too. I believe Roosevelt wanted to place age limits for the US Supreme Court Justices, but he was not allowed. In reality, he wanted to pack the US Supreme Court by a rule or policy which goes something like this: "if a Supreme Court Judge reaches age 70 and he or she has not retired, then, a new judge should be added to the Supreme Court so that eventually the new judge will be a replacement when this over 70 judge actually retires or dies".

The US functions as both a representative democracy and republic.
For “Democracy” John Adams used the term “representative democracy” in 1794; so did Noah Webster in 1785; so did St. George Tucker in his 1803 edition of Blackstone; so did Thomas Jefferson in 1815. Tucker’s Blackstone likewise uses “democracy” to describe a representative democracy, even when the qualifier “representative” is omitted.
Likewise, James Wilson, one of the main drafters of the Constitution and one of the first Supreme Court Justices, defended the Constitution in 1787 by speaking of the three forms of government being the “monarchical, aristocratical, and democratical,” and said that in a democracy the sovereign power is “inherent in the people, and is either exercised by themselves or by their representatives.”

Very true. I will add that both sides have made the same exact arguments over the past Supreme Court justice confirmations. I understand it. But I wouldn’t call the one side slimy or hypocritical. In my mind, it’s just politics.
When you're in power you make the rules.
No everybody doesn’t do it. They were the first ones to do it. It's never been done to a president, where congress stops a President from choosing the person to sit on the Supreme Court & especially during an election year except the republicans. They would not allow Obama to sit a supreme court nominee with 9 months left until elections. That was total disrespect. Now they want to say it's ok to sit a supreme court nominee right now & with 2 month out to elections? This is an abuse of power all the way.
Reminds me of Lance Armstrong’s argument for doping, saying how it’ was so rampant in the race scene, there was no way to compete unless you did it.
This hypocrisy is so horrible. If McConnell is going to make a "precedent" you can't just choose when and when not to follow it based on what's helpful to you.
The problem is the Republican hold the Senate power to unless the power changes after the election they totally can choose when to follow. This is why there are over 200 bill approved by the House that have been sitting in the Senate that Mitch will not bring to the floor for vote. Yet they complain that the Dems are blocking them from passing any bills. Mitch controls what bills are voted on and are blocking them.
