Amazing! I just realized that I love God with all my mind and sometimes volitionally but it really occurred that the emotionally part was missing! Then God brought to mind this: "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, strength and with all your mind”. All 3 need to take place. It aligned with his sermon to love God emotionally, intellectually and volitionally. It’s exactly the 3 asks of us. I ask you God to open my heart to know you in more personal and emotional way. Help me see the cross this way.
"A lot of people say But I have my intellectual questions, God says if Christianity was primarily a philosophy you would and should go to the questions first, but since it's a personal relationship you go to the person first." Wow this whole sermon needs to be heard by every single believer on earth.

There are as many religions as there are people.Faith beyond the self is trust in a person we have this trusting relationship with.Fortunately we get to know the Father through the Son to whom we can even have an intimate relation.
Great message! Though, I personally don't agree that Christianity is a religion. Like Tim said, it is a relationship. Relationships are definitely different than religions.

The Father and the Son are One. If you have seen the Son, you have seen the Father. If you know the Son,you have known the Father.
